This is a good cqb mission, but there is no way in hell that the difficulty settings in options supercede whatever skill settings you gave the AI. I have difficulty on absolute minimum and I'm getting two-shotted from regular riflemen at 600 meters within 2 seconds of contact.

Really a 2.6K walk, no thanks and met with an ifrit that killed us in 2 seconds, very easy to move the spawn.

Realy great mission. Very challenging firefights.
But i still have one problem: I played it with a friend (we both have very similar hardware-setup and same graphic settings) but I encountered a massive ammount of fog, while he has almost none - and the AI doesn't seem to care about the fog at all
any recomendations ond that issue?

Two km walk at start are pretty close to a nogo. We was 5 ppl trying it yesterday, we had different weather at the same place at the same time. This mission is not tested for MP. Unsubscribed

Well, the new patch wiped out all my saves, so I had to play through it again yesterday. Killed 73 total. I went back tonight to a save point right before heading to the chopper, where down the hill is a 4-man spec ops team with marksman and AT.

Yesterday I avoided them, because I had already moved the chopper to a distant location with my squad (I didn't get the hospital evac credit so don't do that.)

But it's an action-packed save, so I went back tonight for 3 hours and created one more save.

As soon as I kill the squad, one of the 2 remaining MRAPs shows up. He's an easy kill. I ditch my empty launcher and grab the full launcher off the AT guy, so I have 2 rockets again. Another MRAP appears later, and sometimes I miss the first shot.

I trade the Zephyr for the Ramin 7.62 marksman rifle with medium scope. There are dead bodies everywhere, but the game is spawning enemies for me.

Great sniping fun in a beautiful seaside town.

I read back a few pages.

Guys, you can't blow up the ammo dumps with chages - you have to shoot a rocket launcher at them from 20 yards (so you don't get killed yourself.) They will then smoke, and eventually blow up. By the way, the launcher takes two types of ammo. The weaker heat rockets are fine for ammo dumps, or for MRAPs, but not powerful enough to kill the APC parked at the hospital.

I played at regular settings, and if somebody is prone with a Katiba, you will die without notice with one head shot. So you have to sprint across open spaces - and you can't stick your head out. Unless there is a new patch, I played this scenario at the beginning of last month, August 2014. If you sprint, dodge, use cover, you might take a bullet, but you should be able to heal. Always stock up on extra med kits from ammo dumps. If you are out, a dead enemy will resupply you with a med kit.

Try my multiple save system below. (Does it work in coop mode?)

Haha, I thought it was SP. I loved it - very challenging. Total hell. It was nice playing non-Nato. The 5.6 allows accurate 3-round bursts.

Create save points like this: Use the single game save. Do a windows search for "save" by latest date. Make a shortcut to that folder. When you pull the save out, Arma allows you to make a new save.

Mostly I put my team in safety (inside a house) and played solo with machine gun, rolling out prone from side streets. From 5.6, I changed to 7.6 Zephyr after first ammo box. Zephyr with cross-hairs is pretty good - but also watch the tracers, as cross-hairs aren't always accurate. Zephyr has higher zoom than 5.6.

This scenario was still hell - so many enemies - such a challenge! On the last replays I put my team out a few hundred yards, grabbed the heli myself, and flew over to pick them up. I could see how it would be much better in coop - but I don't know how my save system would work in coop mode - would it? :)

I enjoyed the stealth challenge of this mission at first, my friend and I spent some sweaty moments behind a wall and in a bush praying for the Ifrit to pass and leave us alone. The firefights were great too, but, unfortunately this mission dies because of two things:

The First... Premise, it seems a little bizarre to send four or less men into a city full of CSAT and expect them to do all those tasks...

And second (not your fault at all) Bohemia beefed up the sniping skills of the AI, so now I get killed constantly on a single shot from 50-400m away without any warning at all.

You need to set the AI skill lower for this mission, otherwise it's just ridiculous. All my friends and I couldn't get through because we'd get killed on a whim all the time, not to mention all 4 of us once got killed all within 3 seconds by one enemy rifleman. I've used a trigger system in all my missions to make the AI less accurate so you can have actual firefights and not just sniping duels.

Great mission. Really liked the initial mood. Great time of day and with the fog it just looks stunning. Yes a bit of a long walk, but I think its okay.
We played with three, FTL, Medic and AT.

AI was too dumb and too many, we killed about 150.

Two weapon crates had explosives inside and task completed upon destruction. The others were inaccessible and we couldn't destroy them, confusing. I feel they should not have been there.

That patrolling IFV was a nice touch and there were cheers when our AT got it on the first pass. Fired two AT missiles at the tank in front of the hospital to no effect. Engine kept running, possibly the turret got damaged, it didn't shoot at us.

When we took off with the helicopter (only two people left, FTL and Medic), the "evac from hospital" task did not complete.

On arrival at base, the "evac to airbase" task did complete, before landing and ended the mission. Landing would have been nice.
Overall we had quite a lot of fun! Thanks for the mission!

Hi, thanks for making this mission. I played this with a couple friends and I have a few things I'd like to point out.

First, as other people have said, it is kind of a long walk, and with the freakin' stamina system (not your fault of course) it's kind of a pain since it's "run for a bit, stop to deal with your asthma attack, and then run again."

The second issue was the loadouts, they just seemed a bit weird/ridiculous. I mean, as the autorifleman I had seven boxes of ammo and twenty-one frags? What? I don't even know where the heck I'd keep all those... Maybe that's why it was so hard for my dude to run.

Anyway, still a pretty good mission, just some weird issues that made it less than spectacular (for us anyway).

Awesome mission - the only improvement it needs is a shorter yomp across to the town (or transport) before the action really starts! The town itself is excellent fun :)

@Jay-Nic you ignorant bellend yes the mission was tested! thats why there are 7 change notes and 5 pages worth of comments of which only the last few comments mention anything similar to what you're ranting about. A recent Arma patch must have messed up the mission as it has been working fine for weeks now, i'll fix what i can tomorrow. If something has broken with the mission then let me know in a helpful way like @[OHTC] Husher™ has, instead of making a tit out of yourself.

Did you test this mission? There a tonnes of enemies - none of them shoot me. The Ammo crates I'm supposed to destroy will not blow up AND we were never given any demolitions in the first place... To top it off, when you die - you don't get revivied with your ammo - no... You get revived with 147 watches...
No kidding... Fix this please, AND TO ALL MISSION MAKERS: TEST YOUR CRAP!

When being revived, the revive-ee will sometimes end up with 120+ watches. Also, revived people get stuck in a down animation and can only crawl. The supply crates do not blow-up. Only one is useable and the explosive charge doesn't destroy them either.

Epic opening, love the music and the night/fog setup. Playing it solo it's pretty challenging, enemy AI are reacting and coming after me if I engage in the city. Hopefully the FPS dip that occurs inside Kavala can be alleviated in the future. Thanks for the mission!

Really great mission. Took 2 hours. Loved the time of day. But we played it on elite difficulty with the AI difficulty set to 1.00 expert but they were still dumb. Not sure why.

@ewoutei - the AI skill in the mission is set to full. if you found it too easy I suggest updating your own difficulty settings in the configure options screen on the main menu of ARMA 3. If I set their skill to 100% in the editor but you have them set to 30% in your options it will play them as 30%. there are also other features that only you can turn on and off. such as 3rd person/super AI/player armour/crosshairs etc. all will make the game alot easier or harder depending on what you have set up.

When i ran the mission with 2 friends, we where laying down looking at the map. When we got back too game there was a squad of 4 soldiers with fashlight moving past us litterly 25-50m away from us. We manage too stay out of sigh. But that was awsome, when we got too the city it was hard not too just kill everyone.

No need for vehicle's imo. its a short walk. Anyhow with a squad that small you cant let the enemy know where you are coming from by driving a car all the way up too the city.

Maby a boat too take the coast way and land at the castle.
