Looking foward to trying it out!

@TheGreenFellow if you use more than four terminals then it will start to slow down. But if you use four or less, you can get a far higher rate of traffic through it than you can on the vanilla truck stations. You have to be careful about where they go in and come out, though.

@Sqweloookle there's no ramp. So it must be a terrain glitch.
Sqweloookle 10 Jun, 2019 @ 5:19am
Oh okay thanks for that @TheGreenFellow.

A quick question @SPQR, on the country forecourts, I see a ramp ascending at the bottom of each one. Is that for bridges or a terrain glitch?
TheGreenFellow 10 Jun, 2019 @ 12:36am
@SPQR @Sqweloookie To clarify, the problem is that people in their cars *do* use the roundabout. It clogs up the whole business, particularly when the AI gets insistent on using a particular pathing that happens to be used by your trucks; and in order to avoid that, I tried rerouting the main road 'around' everything. It only partly worked.

On top of that, even away from normal road traffic, the upper limit of how many trucks could smoothly use it at the same time didn't seem to me to be much higher than vanilla.

All that said, it is very lovely-looking.

@vitalii201 Спасибо большое! I'll put in the next update (coming in a week or two)

Might wanna add that to the description SPQR? so people know cars won't use the roundabout. I wasn't aware you could force cars to do anything.
SPQR  [author] 4 Jun, 2019 @ 1:39pm
@TheGreenFellow you shouldn't have any expectations for routing cars around it. It's not intended for them, so I didn't route them. #featurenotbug.

The truth is, this technique doesn't make a roundabout that looks good enough for use in (or near) a town. Maybe another time.
TheGreenFellow 4 Jun, 2019 @ 7:26am
Nice-looking, but unfortunately the roundabout doesn't hold up to expectations with traffic throughput - especially if you don't route people in their cars around it.

Accursed too much slope and terrain alignment collision! I wish you luck with all you hope to achieve! Maybe in Transport Fever 2 things will not be as resistant as they were in the first two games.

Dude your station mods are god tier. They offer so many more options than vanilla and even a few mod stations.
Sir Meikel 20 May, 2019 @ 8:47am
Thanks a lot, SPQR. Works like a charm now. Cool and thx for fixing this so quickly. Have all your mods active all the time, cause they offer so many possibilities. I'm a big fan!
SPQR  [author] 20 May, 2019 @ 8:14am
@Sqweloookle I don't think I want to do a 3 lane version. But I do have the possibility of doing mod with just roundabouts. I love the simplicity of the original DMA Roundabouts mod and I used it as a base for my routing, but I had to reinvent the texture from the ground up and I still have a lot of work to do, but I don't think I'm far from a useable roundabout for use out of town - on highways and country roads. So far it looks very European... and I'm having lots of problems with slope, because ideally, I'd like it to be possible to fit it on a gentle slope. We'll see.
Sqweloookle 20 May, 2019 @ 8:02am
I love the roundabout. Maybe a little bigger?
SPQR  [author] 20 May, 2019 @ 6:23am
Dropped in an image showing the new options. The old roads versions are displaying, top to bottom: the original "stub" road, the longer road, and no road. The new roads version is displaying a forecourt on both sides of the main street, with no bottom street on the roundabout. This enables you to have a truck station that you can use the same way as the vanilla stations, but has four terminals and doesn't cause traffic jams...
SPQR  [author] 20 May, 2019 @ 6:17am
Well I had a moment, so I made a few alterations. @Sir Meikel please let me know if this helps.
SPQR  [author] 20 May, 2019 @ 3:35am
Well yeah... that's kind of the idea. But... there's a thing I want to try, that I'm not expecting to work so I'm keeping quiet about it...
Sqweloookle 20 May, 2019 @ 3:21am
I'm looking forward to all the truck stations you have uploaded to have a rail cargo station attached to it, though I guess we could just build one next to it lol
SPQR  [author] 20 May, 2019 @ 3:15am
I've spotted a couple of minor/cosmetic issues, like trees appearing where they shouldn't and awkwardly placed clutter so I'm doing an updated version. I'm going to add an option to make the top road (that I intended to be for connecting to the industry) longer, or remove it completely, to give yet more ways of using this station. Any other suggestions are most welcome!
Sqweloookle 20 May, 2019 @ 3:05am
Another epic truck station mate! thanking you!
SPQR  [author] 18 May, 2019 @ 11:08am
@Sir Meikel I'll see if I can reproduce the problem... it may just be that the top street is (as you say) a little too short. I made it as short as possible because I want the station as close as possible to the industry. I'm playtesting it myself at the moment and I've found a couple of small issues, so there'll be a new version shortly in any case.
Sir Meikel 18 May, 2019 @ 7:54am
Having a problem with rural style and all terminals enabled. Seems that one of those streets is too short (in your screenshots above the road it's the one connecting to the industry) so that if you want to connect a large rural street there it has collisions with a pile of logs on the one side and some tree on the other side. Unfortunately it doesnt accept a medium rural street to connect with and insist on a large street, so one has to use a different style other than rural or make do with only three streets.
For the time being I will resort back to using a vanilla truck station at the industry and one of your other hubs. I love them all and this is the first and only one that i ever had a 'technical' problem with.
*thumbsup* and keep up the good work. Thanks.
LinusCN 18 May, 2019 @ 1:54am
OK, this is just a suggestion. If it affects the original function, please ignore it!
SPQR  [author] 18 May, 2019 @ 1:10am
@Vergissmeinnicht just in case that's a serious question and you aren't just teasing me for adding so many options... I was very careful to ensure that all the internal paths are short enough that you can place a bus stop just outside the truck stop, and passengers will still walk to the industry (if you're using a mod that benefits from this). This truck stop doesn't support through traffic other than trucks because I wanted to keep the routing simple.
LinusCN 17 May, 2019 @ 8:05pm
Plus how about some bus stops?
PlaneSimple 17 May, 2019 @ 12:16pm
Someone's added roundabouts to TpF. I am happy at last :P
