Hey I'm just checking out this mod because we want to dump CUP but would still like to have an LHD and this seems to be one with the best functionality. One thing that I'm trying to figure out is the whole VIV thing.

In 3DEN I place the LHD static ship, then when I drop in the VIV Helper script it creates the storage space in thengar - all good. Unloading vehicles they start on the top of the rear elevator, but how do I Load the vehicles back? I landed helis on the deck right above the hangar space but I'm not getting the option to load the vehicle. How does this work? The hangar is empty, so there should be enough room.

just what say you did a great job with this mode and putting the arrestor cable item makes it easier to land on the ship. Wondering if you could create a version of HMS Queen Elizabeth carrier.

Is it possible for our community to upload a separate version of your mod so we can sign it and keep it on our server? Asking because it fuctions as the mainbase of our public server and we've been offline for 2 days now.

The update was just to make the bottom of the hull red, like the USS freedom

The ship is quite dark overall at night, both the hangar and the well deck area. There's plenty of reference online for the Wasp-class LHDs, maybe just rework the lights in accordance with those. I'd just strive for authenticity, really, it's functional.

@D3MON - what would you like to be updated? I'm not super active now, I have very little spare time now, but I do check in from time to time
@icha - the too much unnecessary s**t is just the boat spawn function? I sort of agree, and have considered taking it out completely, and maybe replacing it with an optional ViV part/ reworking the geometry to support the boat rack from the destroyer.
As far as necessary stuff, is it just the green lights? Anything else?

Too much unnecessary s**t, too little necessary stuff. Remove the bugged boat spawn function and add some green lights in the well deck area.

@D3MON use this in a trigger to operate the well deck in the lhd. Name the vehicle lhd or change the script below from lhd to something else.

I guess this wont be updated but does anyone know how to activate the switches to operate the elevators and the giant door for the amphibious compartment? Otherwise as some mention there are fall-though spaces on the deck and the AI dont understand how to walk across the surface regardless.

There is a bug. When walking over the deck (no matter which one) there is a area where you fall down or stuck in the object with falling animation.

Is anyone having issues with this mod lately? Dedicated Server, people \ objects glitch through elevators and it seems elevators crash (or rather freeze-lock) the server?

I'm not saying it's 100 % that it's this mod, hence why I'm asking.

@jack, just use the search function for Khe sahn or assault ship. I think its under structures *Altis( static ships @LiquidBlaye where specifically? I've been hunting down those little bugs for a while, they keep popping up @Teufel Hund, you are just placing the vehicles in the well deck, or are you including the VIV part I added for the hangar deck? Either way, I don't see why that would be happening

I'm sure I must be missing something, but any vehicles I place inside the welldeck seem to be unusable. I can't enter them at all, the only option available is accessing their inventory.

I don't think this is compatible with CUP. Both CUP and this mod use j0nes' work, and use the same class names.

CHRIST ALMIGHTY WHERE IS THIS IN ZEUS? I ONLY SEE THE CUP LHD. AND WHY THE HELL DOES THE CUP LHD ALWAYS SPAWN ON THE OCEAN FLOOR AND DESTROY ITSELF?

aviator, both took the same Arma 2 LHD as a base but modified it differently. For the sake of stability the lower bay to the hangar deck in the CUP uses ramps, the CUP one is a bit bigger on the inside, and its got a small connection to the side door where im sure you've seen if well positioned it can be used to transport infantry and vehicles to the dock.
On the other side, i think this one has better less buggy elevators, the interior bay elevator makes a bit more sense than the weird ramp. Either way the differences are minimal and both LHD almost work the same.

This is super nice to have - it lacks only one or two bits of the CUP LHD (as far as I can tell), and it doesn't require having a huge mod like CUP loaded just to have a good ship on hand.

The mod itself seems fine, but can we get the bikey moved to a "keys" folder instead of thrown in with the Addons folder? I know I could move it myself on my personal machine and server, but directing several hundred people in my unit to do the same is bound to result in a few people with screwed up keys.

yes i do use that when im using jets anything vietnam and later but the nimitz is a bit much for ww2

Honestly if you really want wires you should consider the nimitz.
