Blight heroes are way more rare than their bleed counterparts so this guy is the niche I was looking for. He has charge as well and is able to protect and serve the roster .-)

If you want to make update with new trinkets, best sunward trinket for Alraune its a Bonsai from Aokigahara.

Although I try not to play with many balance breaking mods I'll make an exception here. I just love his entire character; his theme meshes so well with Darkest Dungeon's aesthetic to where if there was a nature based dlc I think Aulraune would be a perfect addition to it. Great mod and good luck with school.

BUT if you'd like to make slight edits to it on your side I will be nerfing the tools a good bit as well as lowering timber's base damage. Not sure how I'll change brambles, but honestly it probably won't be that much to brambles

Thank you! and yea I've been meaning to nerf a couple things (such as brambles and probably timber a lottle), but it's just something to get around too in between real life projects unfortunately. It'll happen! soon tm :(

I was on the lookout for plant/nature themed DD mods for a while, so i was quite happy when i found the Mandrake and tried it out right away.

I really like all the animations and sounds, they are incredibly satisfying and fit the mod really well.

The concept and kit for the class is good too, however i find it too owerpowered and loaded for my personal tastes in its current version.
(I'd gladly provide my feedback and ideas how i think it could be balanced, if you are interested.)

I finished writing the guide for Korean players!
In short, I wrote that it was a fun and useful mod character.

Personally, I especially liked its camping ambush events in the Weald. :)

You probably don't know Korean, but leaving a link to the guide just for the heck of it. (LOL)

@NativeKiller Alright I've added trinket info and character base stats to the google doc that has the name and lore information. Everything else should be easily obtainable in game. Hope the guide turns out well!

im looking at reworking brambles so it's definitely on the radar. As far as the pixels go, I'm not much of an artist, but when i get back into town I'll look at cleaning up a few more of them. Thanks for the feedback

I think bramble should be toned down, as at rank 4 gives 80% damage reflection for the entire fight to the ally in addition to the 30 prot and the 40% reflection to the Alraune. This is pretty steep and nothing really comes close to being this effective without downsides for 1 ability. Even giving half of this to an ally for the duration of a fight is powerful.

Well there is a lore google doc, but you're right it could use a bit of a facelift lol. I'm glad you find it interesting. The plan for updating is contingent upon how soon dd2 is so expect more changes after we here more about that.

hmm it's definitely getting a damage nerf in the first patch, but one shotting is strange with his low base damage. what kind of damage boosts are you running on him?

@Myrryr I did a quick google myself on Alraune, and the first things to come up was actually about how Alraune is German for Mandrake. German legends about the Alraune is that it's a humanoid-shaped root produced by a "certain fluid" of hanged Men. Although I can't speak for the author if this was their reasoning behind choosing the name. The root is just said to be humanoid-shaped it isn't male/female specifically shaped.
i understand what kind of creatures you were thinking about though, but I believe those Alraune are more modern lewd interpretations for the monster girl genre.
Also there is a Male version of a succubus. It is called an Incubus.

I am curious why you named it an Alraune? Depending on source, they're either female plant monsters that are basically succubi, or if you go way back, was the name of a female prostitute. Just seems weird that it's a male here. Kinda like making a succubus class mod and then making it a male.

Right, it's tough to balance a buffing ability and justify bringing a one use buff in an attack slot, but I'll definitely keep that in mind for the first update!

I have played with this class a decent amount now and I do like a lot of things about it but the brambles ability seems pretty damn strong when applied to another front like leper. Still super fun to just kill without hitting.

yea balancing around other mods if tough lol. Also I have been told it still works without CoM since the only thing it uses from there is damage reflection. If not, regardless, I'm working on a patch already to add that compatibility so you don't need DLCs
