I see. I think it was just vanilla jank. A restart of the game seemed to fix it. Been a while since I've played Kenshi, forgot it was a bit janky at times.
Anyway, great mod bud!
Gyropilot  [author] 20 Jun @ 5:23pm
This mod only affect building placement rules AKA while the player is on building mode
It does not affect buildings in any way after they are built, be them generated by the game, by a mod or by loading a previous save file
Terrain inside buildings in towns is either Vanilla jank or some other mod map changes
Timmy the Tooth 15 Jun @ 6:22pm
Any chance this is causing mountain slopes in buildings in towns? I have a few buildings I can't get into and it's the side of a mountain when I look inside..

Yes ComBin
Nexus has a more recent bugfix made by Muggins, although I think Steam version works perfectly well for most
The update date in Steam was just me messing around with Steam settings and doesn't actually do anything
ComBin 20 Feb @ 4:11am
Nexus version: Last updated 10 September 2020
Steam: Updated 27 Feb, 2024 @ 5:02am
Attention note is still actual?

@Kestrel from the DESCRIPTION above:
"There's a bug in Editor that don't allow me to update this mod on Steam anymore."
Kestrel 26 Jun, 2024 @ 1:53pm
Why do you only update the nexus one and not steam as well?

Gyropilot  [author] 9 Apr, 2024 @ 4:37pm
Nexus should be the best version, technically
But me and many other people never found any issues with the Steam version
No actual difference in the mod except if this one doesn't actually run at all, you see?
Galbar 9 Apr, 2024 @ 1:25pm
Hello, so please, what is the good version to take, here or on Nexus ?
Xurker 24 Mar, 2024 @ 8:31am
maybe you could have a Slopeless - No New Gates mod that is just like whats on the nexus, that way people here can have the gates they rely on and people who prefer steam to the nexus can have its fixed version, totally understandable if you dont feel like doing that though, It's already quick and simple to just use the nexus
Bathsalts Gelt 9 Mar, 2024 @ 7:55am
What can you say about carlton? He's carlton
Morph 28 Feb, 2024 @ 4:13pm
All is good I've got no issues anymore. Thanks a bunch!
profd 27 Feb, 2024 @ 9:52pm
No worries. That wasn't that hard to correct/rebuild using the vanilla gate: just trial and error and some wall connectors. F12 is useful too to level the gate if nothing else works.
Btw notice the last gate placed (not build) is considered the main gate for the outpost. I hope there was a way to select the main gate more.. easily.
Gyropilot  [author] 26 Feb, 2024 @ 6:11pm
Okay
Sorry guys, there was only one way to test this
I imagined those gates were only a change of category and wouldn't affect anybody using them
And maybe it would fix the mod for those that say the Steam version doesn't work
Reverting it back to having single gates. Pretend this never happened
Morph 26 Feb, 2024 @ 3:54pm
Bring back single gate mode PLEASE the vanilla gate placement is giving me brain damage
profd 26 Feb, 2024 @ 7:16am
Just loaded yesterday save.. No more gates in my outposts XD
I was using the 'Single' ones.. guess those are in oblivion now..
Time to rebuild. Thanks to keep the mod alive though..
Gyropilot  [author] 25 Feb, 2024 @ 4:44pm
Hmm... So I just found out I can revert to a previous version
Since my most recent version only add gates group and that's deemed unnecessary in a vanilla game patch, I'm reverting it
Maybe it will fix everything and not ever again people in Steam will have problems with this
Hopefully I won't break anything and people will not freak out about it lol
Thanks past me for keeping a sensible amount of changelog
Gyropilot  [author] 16 Jan, 2024 @ 10:57pm
I believe the Nexus version has it removed
It is deprecated since the vanilla game now do what those gates meant to do anyway
It's not required and can be removed
Кот 13 Jan, 2024 @ 6:36pm
There are modified gates in the WALLS tab.
This doesn't look good in other languages. The translation does not affect this asset, which results in an extra non-localized WALLS tab.
Is this asset generally required for the mod to work or can it simply be removed?
generic hooman moat.gg 12 Dec, 2023 @ 3:25pm
fix when
catbox99 19 May, 2023 @ 9:05am
Never heard of Muggins. Good to know there's a patch out there somewhere, though.
Gyropilot  [author] 18 May, 2023 @ 3:22pm
Thank you for your understanding CatBox99
It's a miracle, but the patch in Nexus made by Muggins deserve some love as well
Last time I played indeed it did not work with Steam version, but his patch works
catbox99 18 May, 2023 @ 1:33pm
Make sure that the entry point is level and accessible. Make sure the floor is too. TBH, it doesn't work as well as it used to, but sometimes it helps a little. It's still better than nothing. However, since it hasn't been maintained for 4 years +, it's a miracle it works at all. The author has clearly moved on to other projects, and the mod is pretty clearly abandoned. As the author points out, however, you can patch the mod yourself.
Fish 16 May, 2023 @ 12:40am
hey so i cant get into my building thta built on a slight slope and i cant build anthing within. how do i solve this
Gyropilot  [author] 28 Apr, 2023 @ 12:32pm
EvilNecroid
If you want to try to do a patch yourself, my tip is for you to check each part that makes up the whole building, and remove the placing rules of everything except the actual door
You can load my mod in FCS and see the changes I made
EvilNecroid 28 Apr, 2023 @ 12:29am
so which stats?
i saw something about max slope in the actual building stats. but it doesnt seem to make much of a difference unless i need to put in a much bigger number?
Daemonslime 27 Apr, 2023 @ 6:28pm
you can have this mod affect modded buildings it just needs to be loaded in the correct load order, also putting this last in the list is not how you'd have it make changes to anything but default vanilla buildings. this mod should be above any mods that add modded buildings or overhaul states.
Gyropilot  [author] 27 Apr, 2023 @ 6:11pm
It's not supposed to affect modded buildings. I edited each vanilla building stat by hand, a process the modder should make themselves for their modded building
EvilNecroid 27 Apr, 2023 @ 1:29pm
ive got this last on the mod list but it doesnt effect any modded buildings
Daemonslime 26 Mar, 2023 @ 6:57pm
is this going to be updated to the same version as on the nexus?
Insomniac Jack 21 Mar, 2023 @ 9:05am
Great mod, but could be finicky in some areas, especially if you place a building into a mountain/terrain which has a separate mesh in it and it collides with said building. Here's an example of this in stobe's landing, turned my covert warehouse into a penthouse suite upon reload: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2950192425

Fish 7 Mar, 2023 @ 6:04pm
Thanks for the info because Im almost at the point to where I need to move to am better place and I think I know where I want to be
Gyropilot  [author] 7 Mar, 2023 @ 5:23pm
@Gumbus
I found that issue as well. Objects will be placed at the height of the terrain that was cut out by the interior of the building, right?
Sadly that's a thing. You can however, either use Dev Tools to move the interior objects so they look normal (what I usually do) or have your building further inside the terrain. If it's further inside the terrain at some point the terrain is ignored, if I'm not mistaken
Also I believe there's some sections of terrain are not real and they don't cause that issue, but this is a thing that only people that mess around a lot with Dev Tools will recognise
Gyropilot  [author] 7 Mar, 2023 @ 5:11pm
@SJDQ
The mod only affects the building placement rules, nothing after it's build. So yeah, everything already build will remain the same
It does something to walls. Allows you to place them in some situations the vanilla game wouldn't allow. It doesn't solve much of the vanilla wall jank, but at least it gives you a little more control. I figure the player can decide better than the game when the wall will look good, but often players abuse the power then come here and say "This mod broke my game meeeh" lol
Fish 7 Mar, 2023 @ 2:53pm
I was wondering before I got this mod does it change all building prebuilt or would i have to rebuild them all and does it also work on walls
Gumbus 4 Mar, 2023 @ 8:17pm
hey thanks for making this mod, i ran into a bug that i was hoping to get some help trouble shooting. i built a snail building partially in a cliff. the problem is when trying to place furniture in the building is seems to want to follow the terrain that the building removed. this is not a problem with any of the other buildings i have tried it with nor does it effect the characters from walking inside. I hope i described it well enough lol. if you have any advice i would greatly appreciate it :)
Gyropilot  [author] 2 Mar, 2023 @ 3:45am
Actually I can't KuroxP. Some sort of problem happened with my modding tool a long time ago that doesn't allow me to upload these files anymore. No matter if there are whatever changes. I tried many times already. Will try again whenever I download Kenshi again, but no promises
Corp. Hunter2042 1 Mar, 2023 @ 8:26pm
Hey, this question has nothing to do with the Slopeless mod, I'm asking here because every time I tried to google what I'm looking for it wanted to send me here. So here I am.

Anyone know of a mod that adds terrain features to buildable things? Like, when you're in the desert for example, up on a cliff, you can select pieces of the land and move them around. Those terrain features.
KuroxP 1 Mar, 2023 @ 7:10pm
Hi, could you please update the mod like in Nexus? (Just asking, no bad vibes dude)

Thanks for the mod!
Edd 18 Feb, 2023 @ 7:25pm
yeah its not working for me either
Gyropilot  [author] 14 Feb, 2023 @ 11:35am
Is your mod not working properly? I don't see how this would be difficult otherwise. Quicksave and experiment

Building swivel around the front door of the building with this mod, right? (If not, either you are using a non vanilla building or something went wrong).
As long as the ramp to the entrance is touching the floor you should be allowed to place it. Face it's back against a hill wall and look for a good spot. You have some shortcuts for "building level adaptation" and distance from the ground. Make sure you use them

Hotkeys:
Increase vertical position tolerance, so players can make their buildings as high as there's foundation underneath (Default ' - and = ')
Buildings still follow slopes. You just 've got to hold your change slope hotkey (Default ' ] ')
\\,[†],// 12 Feb, 2023 @ 2:56pm
Can you tell me how you got the building inside the hill?
Manifesto 7 Feb, 2023 @ 3:43pm
seems to be working fine for me to be fair... no issues
Gyropilot  [author] 7 Feb, 2023 @ 1:13pm
Yeah man, I left modding for Kenshi ages ago
But I'm pretty sure this one still works (again thanks to Muggins, his version on Nexus).
Everybody else saying it breakes something else or is incompatible with certain mod I don't think is the case.
Just change priorities, enable>disable>enable again... We have the mod we need, not the mod we deserve
Manifesto 7 Feb, 2023 @ 9:28am
lmao! good response! :P
