Anyway, great mod bud!
It does not affect buildings in any way after they are built, be them generated by the game, by a mod or by loading a previous save file
Terrain inside buildings in towns is either Vanilla jank or some other mod map changes
Nexus has a more recent bugfix made by Muggins, although I think Steam version works perfectly well for most
The update date in Steam was just me messing around with Steam settings and doesn't actually do anything
Steam: Updated 27 Feb, 2024 @ 5:02am
Attention note is still actual?
"There's a bug in Editor that don't allow me to update this mod on Steam anymore."
But me and many other people never found any issues with the Steam version
No actual difference in the mod except if this one doesn't actually run at all, you see?
Btw notice the last gate placed (not build) is considered the main gate for the outpost. I hope there was a way to select the main gate more.. easily.
Sorry guys, there was only one way to test this
I imagined those gates were only a change of category and wouldn't affect anybody using them
And maybe it would fix the mod for those that say the Steam version doesn't work
Reverting it back to having single gates. Pretend this never happened
I was using the 'Single' ones.. guess those are in oblivion now..
Time to rebuild. Thanks to keep the mod alive though..
Since my most recent version only add gates group and that's deemed unnecessary in a vanilla game patch, I'm reverting it
Maybe it will fix everything and not ever again people in Steam will have problems with this
Hopefully I won't break anything and people will not freak out about it lol
Thanks past me for keeping a sensible amount of changelog
It is deprecated since the vanilla game now do what those gates meant to do anyway
It's not required and can be removed
This doesn't look good in other languages. The translation does not affect this asset, which results in an extra non-localized WALLS tab.
Is this asset generally required for the mod to work or can it simply be removed?
It's a miracle, but the patch in Nexus made by Muggins deserve some love as well
Last time I played indeed it did not work with Steam version, but his patch works
If you want to try to do a patch yourself, my tip is for you to check each part that makes up the whole building, and remove the placing rules of everything except the actual door
You can load my mod in FCS and see the changes I made
i saw something about max slope in the actual building stats. but it doesnt seem to make much of a difference unless i need to put in a much bigger number?
I found that issue as well. Objects will be placed at the height of the terrain that was cut out by the interior of the building, right?
Sadly that's a thing. You can however, either use Dev Tools to move the interior objects so they look normal (what I usually do) or have your building further inside the terrain. If it's further inside the terrain at some point the terrain is ignored, if I'm not mistaken
Also I believe there's some sections of terrain are not real and they don't cause that issue, but this is a thing that only people that mess around a lot with Dev Tools will recognise
The mod only affects the building placement rules, nothing after it's build. So yeah, everything already build will remain the same
It does something to walls. Allows you to place them in some situations the vanilla game wouldn't allow. It doesn't solve much of the vanilla wall jank, but at least it gives you a little more control. I figure the player can decide better than the game when the wall will look good, but often players abuse the power then come here and say "This mod broke my game meeeh" lol
Anyone know of a mod that adds terrain features to buildable things? Like, when you're in the desert for example, up on a cliff, you can select pieces of the land and move them around. Those terrain features.
Thanks for the mod!
Building swivel around the front door of the building with this mod, right? (If not, either you are using a non vanilla building or something went wrong).
As long as the ramp to the entrance is touching the floor you should be allowed to place it. Face it's back against a hill wall and look for a good spot. You have some shortcuts for "building level adaptation" and distance from the ground. Make sure you use them
Hotkeys:
Increase vertical position tolerance, so players can make their buildings as high as there's foundation underneath (Default ' - and = ')
Buildings still follow slopes. You just 've got to hold your change slope hotkey (Default ' ] ')
But I'm pretty sure this one still works (again thanks to Muggins, his version on Nexus).
Everybody else saying it breakes something else or is incompatible with certain mod I don't think is the case.
Just change priorities, enable>disable>enable again... We have the mod we need, not the mod we deserve
