these are no longer generating power for me

I can't seem to make the pattern repeat to make a more than 5 panel wide circle. It can repeat infinitely vertically but not horizontally

Found a massive problem. The more you stick onto a single grid, the less energy they all produce. I put one on a single Smart Solar Type B rotor and it was 10MW, but when I put more on it kept splitting the difference.

Getting like 500kw at best from each when directed straight at the sun.

@Thundercraft same, difference in resources cost

Quote, "They are hexagonal form, 2 types: 1MW blue and 10MW yellow."

Q: Are the blue and yellow both the same size? Or is the yellow significantly larger?

Can we get these in smallgrid 1x1 size? Would work amazing well for a small gyrocopter.

Would love to see a flat version - like not centered so it visually sits on blocks. Great work mate!

@Zardo for now I'm making some update for turbines, and have some fixes for solar panels, so it will be better if you wait a bit. But you can do what you want with this mods
Zardo 1 Jul, 2020 @ 11:33pm
Hey there! I love this mod great work!
I was wondering if we could have permission to incorporate this and your wind turbines into our own modpack (Im a admin on the sigma draconis cluster) We would need to reupload due to component edits and a few re-balances.
Complete with credit of course!
Thanks for your time!

wait, do these things connect together in a hexagonal format?

WITCHCRAFT!!

Any chance for a small-grid one? Also, on the note of needing offset ones, what about smaller ones (both for large and small grid) that were 1x1x1, but keeping the shape? Although if the shape was set to a octogonal (8 sides) - you could still have the main mount points on the back (to mount directly to a surface), and top/bottom/left/right - the 'face' side of it would likely not be a mount point, as solar panels are usually pretty thin (unless of course you just wanted it as a mount point - it's your mod, of course).

Just some thoughts - looks really cool!

@Rysten as i know you cant change solar panels from game, only from game files.
Rysten 27 Aug, 2019 @ 8:22pm
Sergynom, this may sound counterintuitive to your mod, but do you know of an easy way to make the vanilla solar panels less efficient (world setting or something?) And yes, nuclear is too easy, after this weekend I am going to see if I can get permission to resurrect a couple reactor mods and sure they will work, but prolly 4x or faster fuel consumption or something
_Dianixi_  [author] 15 Aug, 2019 @ 6:24am
@sgtklink but solar panels has free and infinity energy, so you shouldn't build it in huge amount
sgtklink 14 Aug, 2019 @ 9:35pm
These look awesome. But 3000 PCU for a single yellow panel?? Reactors cost 25, and provide more output.

Wish there was a tutorial on how to correctly position them :(
CurmuGenX 27 May, 2019 @ 6:21pm
Making these a small grid and a mounting point on the center ... TIE fighter anyone?
_Dianixi_  [author] 22 May, 2019 @ 2:02pm
@Dragonsheepling well... there isn't a grid(game has only cube grid) but you can connect panels as in a screenshots using several offset models
Techi's Salami Donut 22 May, 2019 @ 6:47am
Did i read this correctly? They use a Hexagonal Grid?
breakthrough 18 May, 2019 @ 3:23pm
@sergynom yeah you are right, my brain was thinking of the older versions where solar only did 0.12MW. Though now that I look at it, the panels should be 7x7 and 23x23 to have the correct surface area
_Dianixi_  [author] 18 May, 2019 @ 11:38am
@breakthrough stock solar panel produces 0.16MW, 10MW is 62.5 times more, 32* 62.5=2000. In my variant - 2048 solar cells and 512 superconductors.(same for 1MW) I think all balanced :D
breakthrough 17 May, 2019 @ 6:50pm
This produces 8 times the power but only costs 6 times the components. Bit too much of a discount to not feel cheaty.
Blade Viridian 15 May, 2019 @ 7:08pm
THIS IS GOOD!!! now time to make space station from THE 100 series
Korvatus Klok 15 May, 2019 @ 5:22pm
OMG, hexagons!!!!
Katana Sado 15 May, 2019 @ 10:44am
This looks like a really cool one I can't wait to put on my soler tower about a week from now.
remethep 15 May, 2019 @ 4:11am
An offset (back of block) and sloped (45 degrees) would be awesome. That said, looking forward to tinkering with this mod. :D
wildgreen1701 14 May, 2019 @ 12:26pm
i will try this mod, new solar panels are always fun. Any chance on a small grid.
_Dianixi_  [author] 14 May, 2019 @ 8:35am
It works only in center, because i want to place they in hexagonal grid with minimum blocks. Offset variant will have too many blocks. And why place solar panels on flat surface? It should be on rotors or just on the side of block, like T or U type solar towers
Netherspark 14 May, 2019 @ 8:02am
Can you make them flat against the block grid instead of being in the middle of it? Being unable to mount them on a flat surface severely limits their use.
