Super cool!

Thanks, I'm still learning how to do more complex builds so that is some really great info. Really appreciate it.

Whoops! Was gonna give the 22.845 as well (angle of lift vector, but this doesn't take drag into account), but edited the message incorrectly.

@custoberus, propeller's force vector is at an angle of 22.06876. So if you rotate props to be around that angle, they will have no drag. The setup in this craft has a little drag, for better acceleration. You can experiment with this easily if you have Advanced Building Tools enabled. (In main menu settings or the drawing compass symbol in settings while in a level)

how were you able to get so much thrust off of your main engines? I've spent some time trying to figure out how they work but the propellers I put down only create a tiny amount of thrust.

Whell you know when you make something with amazing egineering involved that goes REALLY FAST, you know people are gonna like it!
WildCard 18 May, 2019 @ 10:49am
gotta go fast

Thank you for all the positive feedback! I hadn't uploaded in a long time, so I expected this to get buried. I can't believe we got #1!

AMAZING JOB!!! The handling while going so fast!!!!:steamhappy:

at long last! thank you!

TOMB, cool! But sadly, top speeds differ per PC. Not just that top speeds are different, but which prop angle is "best" for a certain craft is different. The only thing that's invariant is that for a craft that has 0 aerodynamic components (0 blocks that have drag), a truly flat-angle propeller motor is best. I'm not sure if it's just clock speeds/CPUs or "prop magic".

Thank you, Ross!

The handling response is truly impressive! :steamhappy:

I made a craft that Broke 309000 mph.
