I've found it gets stuck sometimes and ticking and unticking the boxes (sometimes a few times) can fix it. I think there's a settings file somewhere.

Yes, I know that but its not working. I try this on my Win7 and Win10 desktop and same result. Can I change that manualy in some ini file?

GunStarPL's Quick Turns is an included mod, which overrides user settings for Quick Turns and Quick Combat. Adjust the settings from Additional Information (left of the Nuclear Overview) -> Quick Turns.

Manually extracting the civ5mod file seems to have fixed it but I'm still worried about issues popping up later

Mod fails to install properly and causes a CTD, Not sure what the problem is since this doesn't happen with any of the others in your collection.

I don't know if this should be written in Empires Ascendant, but I think it would be interesting to add the ability to build (improve) the territories of city-states if you are allied with them.

This feature is really missing, personally for me

I think it would be interesting to add the ability for ships to enter forts and citadels (creating channels this way) and the ability to reforest.

Great mod, can't get enough of it.

yes, it's a mod conflict. clear cache, moduser data, don't load other mods, don't use eui or other pseudodlc. if you need more help send logs.

Huh, it seems like it's only some text doesn't work, most text actually loads, its just thing like civ abilities, technologies added by the mod, and starting screen UI kind of text. Is it an empires ascendant ui problem?

It seems like the text doesn't load for me... all it loads is "TXT_KEY_BLA_BLA" kind of text. That is weird, since I remember downloading an earlier version and there was no text problem. Is it a problem on my hand?

Hmm, okay, delete documents/civ 5 and steamapps/common/civ v, revalidate the game through steam (complete reinstall), download and install the manual download of the mod. If that still crashes, google 'how to enable civ 5 logging' then send me your logs folder (iskaandismet@gmail.com) when you next crash! Good luck! I'm here to help if you need

The mod crashes when I am setting up a game. I have deleted my cache, verified my files, only enabled Stones to Stars. Also the Jaeger infantry and something for Denmark have no texture. I gotta play the best Civ 5 mod in existence yk? Take ur time :]

I told you here around a year or two ago that I appreciate your extensive and hard work on this mod and I still stand by that. This is the greatest Civilization 5 mod and I hope you never take it down.

Can you add canals (working ones that ships can pass through; like Civ 6), bridges (like the Golden Gate from civ 6) and tunnels through mountains (like Civ 6) to the mod? And icebreakers? Thank you very much.

Also the two cities thing makes sense, you auto capture any super close cities when you spawn.

@Mistake I don't think it's possible, the Linux version doesn't allow for custom DLLs

@Cactorum it's possible for dead civs to ressurect when an alive civ has a civil war, so it's possible some civs we're wiped out of their initial positions and then got zombified when an existing civ has a dark age or smth. Tbh I usually ran Rise and Fall in observer mode and didn't play to many games of it. Sounds kinda like it's working as expected, probably could use some tweaks but I'm not really working on this anymore.

I tried another game and got it to start with initially promising results of Carthage, Byzantium, and China in their right places and doing well, but there was a few things that seemed off around the world. I think something like 6 Civs spawned in total, although that game I may have only set 8 Civs as max. Also is there a recommended amount of city states? I feel like they covered alot of the map.

I tried looking for a video to see if maybe I am setting it up wrong or I am expecting it to work differently, but I couldn't find any out there though, which is a shame.

I was not using any other mods except for yours. I have to ask, are the Civs supposed to spawn in their spots around the map, or all of the Civs out of the cities of the first Civ that spawned? I assume the former case, but In that example game I think what happened was that Rome and maybe Macedon spawned first and then everyone else spawned out of Roman cities or something, which would explain why everyone was localized around the Balkans and Italy. As Venice I did spawn in the right place though, but with 2 cities which I found suspicious.

That should be doing it. Are you using other mods? There was an issue that I'm not sure ever got resolved where 22 majors would cause a crash but 21 was fine.

What are the recommended settings for getting Rise and Fall to work? Should it be as simple as enabling it on the gameplay tab and selecting the rise and fall world map, or do I have to do things like change the "map size" and player amount? My first 2 attempts resulted in getting stuck/crash, and my third attempt got me in the game but there was only 6 civs and everyone was in the Balkans, including Korea and Mongolia. Thanks.

sadly now it seems that any map I create has no resources at all, But I guess this is the price of me playing on hot-seat and mod conflicts. (I can still add them manually so other than some time wasted is not too much of a deal.)



It seems that I can't delete any of 4 mods anymore because the option to play hot-seat would disappear. (if the Earth maps mod, or advanced setup is missing then I can no longer play hot-seat.)


The issue with city states not loading has also been fixed in the new version.


In conclusion I really like the current version of your mods , and if you were wondering if the
hot-seat still works, I can definitely confirm that it does.

I upgraded to new Pc and I noticed if I change resolution to something that is higher than 1980 x 1080 it would not display text making it impossible to build in city which makes it impossible to end turn. Is this normal or is it only because I play this on hot-seat?

Also I noticed that the loading issue was fixed in the new version , now I can load the hot-seat without any corruption or crashes. (and the auto-save finally works correctly.)

If anyone has issues of game crashing on hot-seat make sure you give yourself the technologies like currency . and mercenaries on your turn not after you end the turn. (if you don't the game would not be playable.) (you need to add only few technologies the rest works fine.)

Of course there are few crashes here and there, but now that I can actually load the game it is not a problem anymore.

Unlike the base game, all the initial Improvements are locked behind techs.
