I think I found the file, but so confused where/how to send it?
I can use Discord, but which forum?
ChoGGi  [author] 17 Oct, 2024 @ 4:44pm
Weird, could you send me a log of you loading your save then quitting the game?

Nope...My old ones on average where...
Tool size 3/214,748
Hexes covered 4,203/8,000
Size Boundary 80/80
Now...
10/10
370/8,000
26/80 That's the largest it would go?
ChoGGi  [author] 17 Oct, 2024 @ 6:14am
Updated, try that?
CODY614 16 Oct, 2024 @ 11:12pm
Just a question,Oct 14 @ 2:48pm was there something that changed? I can no longer get "Large Sizes"? It was was working great.
Tesmont 22 Sep, 2024 @ 1:36pm
Buttons work
ChoGGi  [author] 22 Sep, 2024 @ 1:02pm
Have you tried using R/T to resize it?
Tesmont 21 Sep, 2024 @ 10:25am
This mod sets flatten tool size to 2,147,483. This value can't be changed by a mod option. Plus it won't be restored after turning off the mod or restarting the game. Save is broken.

Make separate grids for each dome (or at least one/two at a time), and see how they work?
Serene 7 Jul, 2022 @ 4:48pm
Man, I started really loving being able to overlap buildings in domes. Sometimes it just makes sense, some of them look like they should be able to stick out of domes like the infirmary or the life support equipment. Unfortunately I think it's causing problems with the power/pipe grid, I keep getting random disconnects for huge sections of the grid, or maybe there's a mod interaction going on that's causing this?

Has anyone else had this problem that you know of? It seems to just split grids randomly, or maybe after loading the game - programmer in me is thinking some function to iterate through the buildings is getting woozy at configurations that should be impossible. I would love to figure out what's ok to place this way but it's so frustrating once it happens because tracking down the problem building is really trial and error.
ChoGGi  [author] 28 May, 2022 @ 9:53am
Updated it to choose which buildings.
lolic_lol 27 May, 2022 @ 5:28am
I tried the Allow BB mod, it's too cheaty for me )
If you add this feature to this mod, it will be great. Thanks anyway, useful mod.
ChoGGi  [author] 26 May, 2022 @ 6:55pm
Probably not, you'd need something to unlock the build menu items (I'll probably add it), till then you can use my Allow BB Buildings to unlock the items.
lolic_lol 26 May, 2022 @ 8:02am
With this mod I can "Landscape" underground?
Ulruc 15 May, 2022 @ 6:00am
So I had to go back in time 20 Sol to go before I started that project. I paused for like 5-8 Sol because I had no use for that many waste rocks.

I'll be more careful with my next setup I guess :)
Ulruc 15 May, 2022 @ 4:13am
True, I can turn that option off. I just enjoy that option so when I look at the horizon, it is flat :)
And I though that since there was no crash when I landed that zone that I would be fine :)

As for saves, not only I have 10 auto-saves enabled but I also keep regular saves as well. So I can go back. I just need to find which one is the latest while being before I started that project.
ChoGGi  [author] 14 May, 2022 @ 6:55pm
btw: You might want to turn that allow out of bounds option off...

Allow Out Of Bounds: Turn on to landscape out of bounds (warning can crash when used near the edge of map, save first) .
ChoGGi  [author] 14 May, 2022 @ 6:54pm
It doesn't look too big, but you're probably too close to the edge. The game doesn't like stuff too close to the edge.

I'd say that save is gone. I take if you turned off the autosave option?
Ulruc 13 May, 2022 @ 4:05am
I think it was an area that was going to give a total of 90k waste rock when I started it. And by the time it crash, I was almost done. I was using the rocks from that place to rise up a few other places at the same time as a way of not being too flooded by rocks pile.

Here is the link to an archive on my Google Drive that contains the crash file and the save file that generated it (I think you have less than a Sol to play for the crash to happen).

ChoGGi  [author] 12 May, 2022 @ 8:00pm
I'll take the crashfile (the smaller one, the dmp isn't useful) if you don't mind.

How big of an area?
Ulruc 12 May, 2022 @ 6:48pm
Let say someone (*keuf* me *keuf*) have drawned a big area as a way to landscape a future building area. But I mean a truly huge area.

But now it crash to desktop whenever it goes to the step "Levelling terrain" at the end or even if I try to cancel the task itself before it crash. Even deleting it through the ECM crash to desktop.

Is there a way to fix that mistake I made or the only way is to go back in time before I placed it and be more careful? I can also provide a savefile and a crash file (the game made one) if needed.

Can you tell me where to find the logs?

Fow now i downloaded "enable console", disabled all mods other than:
your library | enable console | remove landscaping limits
and still see that overlaping grid issue on new map.

The following is the message shown from enable console:

Invalid autoattach ProductIcon for entity Assembler
Buildable grid computing too slow! Took 1111
Reloading lua files
Reloading done
Invalid autoattach ProductIcon for entity Assembler
starting sector selected: E1
ChoGGi  [author] 9 Nov, 2021 @ 5:20pm
The mod just increases the limits, and bypasses some construction errors.

Like the other msg from you, I'll take some logs (preferably one of you trying that).
Anonymus 9 Nov, 2021 @ 5:08pm
Thanks for all the great mods!
However i did notice a rather annoying bug with this one:

When running this mod, try to place multi-grid objects.
The grid will fail to detect overlapping, allowing wrong placement.
It does not always happen, and resets when all grids overlap,
so try it a few times. It is more obvious with larger objects.
TrueChaoS 27 Oct, 2021 @ 10:19pm
that's a pain. I noticed the "flattening" also seems to always be sloped (as evidenced by placing a large object on an area you flatten, it always sinks the floor). Always strange bugs with Paradox games, huh
ChoGGi  [author] 27 Oct, 2021 @ 9:03pm
It's not this mod, it's just landscaping in general will add little "bumps" when flattening.
TrueChaoS 27 Oct, 2021 @ 8:56pm
This seems to result in issues with the land becoming unbuildable due to "uneven terrain" when used near buildings and I don't know what to really do about it beyond using a mod to completely disable building restrictions entirely

It seems that this mod has a bug.
When I Flatted the location that includes a Landing Pad, then it is ruined as you see.
ChoGGi  [author] 12 Sep, 2021 @ 3:53pm
huh, not quite sure what's going on?
Fer 12 Sep, 2021 @ 12:26pm
Nope.
Here is list of mods I use: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2600489831
Automated Tourism, Mars Radio One and Unlimited Scanning aren't updated, so currently are disabled.
ChoGGi  [author] 12 Sep, 2021 @ 11:31am
Nor my ECM mod?
Fer 12 Sep, 2021 @ 1:50am
Nope, not this one.
It's not very inconvinient, as I can just turn on the mod in Mod Options only for bigger landscaping projects or flattenieng ground close to other building which doesn't happen very often, so it's more about letting you know than asking for immidiate fix.
Many thanks for doing such a great job with your mods and especially QoL ones! :)
ChoGGi  [author] 11 Sep, 2021 @ 8:21pm
You don't have my remove building limits mod installed as well right?
Fer 11 Sep, 2021 @ 6:09pm
Hello ChoGGi,
Skip Blocking Objects option works good with landscaping tool, but no matter if it's On or Off (which has confusing reverted description as Ridesdragons wrote over 2 years ago :D) it doesn't apply to buildings. If the mod is active, I can place buildings on top of each other no matter what settings I use - I only get Blocking object info, but I don't even see which hexes overlap as hexes from already placed building aren't glowing yellow like they do without mod.
ChoGGi  [author] 23 May, 2021 @ 12:30pm
I'm not sure if google trans did that correctly, but all this mod does is remove the limits. It doesn't stop you from doing stuff you shouldn't do.
NahuelST 23 May, 2021 @ 5:41am
ChoGGi  [author] 17 May, 2021 @ 6:09am
If you want to do it with buildings nearby then enable Skip Blocking Objects
Droante 17 May, 2021 @ 5:30am
does this allow ya to even terrain height so passages aren't stupid cause the ground got flat nearby?
ChoGGi  [author] 10 May, 2021 @ 5:11pm
Probably not, that sounds like a lot of work
jugularvein 10 May, 2021 @ 3:20pm
Any chance you could make a Dozer mod that would auto-flatten one hex (or adjustable hex area size) at a time so that the Dozer would eventually auto flatten map on its own?
ChoGGi  [author] 15 Nov, 2019 @ 7:01am
English is a strange language.
Ridesdragons 15 Nov, 2019 @ 6:14am
I also had this issue, and I found out what it was. either the description for the option to bypass build limits is written in a backwards, confusing manner, or the setting is coded backwards.

it reads "enable to be able to paint terrain near buildings. this will also allow you to place buildings in odd places", and is set to "off" by default. to my understanding, this means "turn on to pint near buildings, turn off to keep vanilla blocking". however, leaving it off lets you place buildings on top of each other and paint near buildings. turning it on, however, prevents you from painting terrain or building on top of other buildings.

I do not have ECM installed.
Nyx (She/Her) 11 Sep, 2019 @ 6:41pm
I had this installed before it and forgot to remove it
ChoGGi  [author] 11 Sep, 2019 @ 5:36pm
If you have ecm installed then why would you install this mod as well?
