Would strongly support this in the main game. Its really annoying swapping between drill, and weapons, and different guns all the time especially given how jank the menu can be.

(5) Probably goes without saying that if you bring this to the main game, if I could create/modify/update my loadouts on the Equipment screen instead of from a separate Ability, it would be not only more convenient but also less user error accidentally updating the wrong loadout and whatever.

(3) Although one-ability-per-loadout makes for quickest swapping, I might actually prefer a single ability that popped up my list of loadouts to activate -- to avoid eating 3 slots on my main bar just to have 3 main loadouts? Maybe I'm wrong and I wouldn't actually prefer it? But I think about it a lot when I'm playing.
(4) I wish there was clearer feedback in the player log when I switched loadouts (e.g. "You switch to your FIGHT loadout"). Sometimes different loadouts change different body slots that aren't incompatible, and if I've already "got my trading hat on" or whatever then I get no message at all. I think some feedback would help me feel like I successfully hit the key, and then if nothing is being re-equipped I can move on to wondering if I've manually bollixed up the bindings (which I frequently do).

LOVE this mod, most important Qud Mod in existence imho :)

Misc small things --
(1) If I bind something to my "second face" that my two-faced hat gives me, and then perhaps another loadout doesn't have me wearing that hat, then the first time I select the hat's loadout it will put the hat on but NOT put my second face item on, I have to hit the loadout a second time and then it adds the item to my face.
(2) If I bind a jackhammer to a loadout (goes in both hands & back), then when I switch to that loadout I get popup "You cannot equip your nanopneumatic jackhammer on your back". It actually *does* equip the jackhammer but of course the popup is annoying. I feel like this doesn't happen *every* run, so it might depend on the exact thing I did when binding the jackhammer in the first place.

I would very much like to see this mod updated for 1.0 please, this sounds like a must!!
when your face changes to feelers from cloaca surprise you can't anymore update presets that have face slot

also loadouts created before turning the mod off and back on can't be deleted or edited and are just stuck in your ability bar

and again when ability list gets big enough you can't scroll below the sertain point and any abilities at the end of the list can't be rearranged

mod seems to bug out you ability list, removing the slider and anything below the edge of the screen is inacessible https://imgur.com/a/v6j1LrN

disabling the mod doesnt fix it nor it deletes loadout abilities from the list

Really digging this mod. Love the QoL improvement for switching between my selling, combat, and digging loadouts. Would it be possible to tweak it so that selecting an item to add to the loadout doesn't jump the cursor up to the top of the menu, but instead moves it to the next equipment slot? Also there doesn't seem to be a way to remove individual items from the loadout in edit mode, only add more, or delete all the items and then readd the ones you need.

1) Find your Steam mod folder using this little guide:

2) Then search for "Gnarf_Loadout_Manager.cs" in the folder. For me on PC the file was located here - C:\...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\333640\1744225290

3) Open Gnarf_Loadout_Manager.cs in a text editor like notepad

4) The first few lines of the file should be:

using System;
using System.Text;
using System.Collections.Generic;

Below them add the line:

using XRL.World.Anatomy;

5) Save the file :)

Unfortunately this only seems to make the mod work on new games - the wish command still doesn't work, alas!

If the mod broke for you after latest update, you can fix it by adding

using XRL.World.Anatomy;

in the file Gnarf_Loadout_Manager.cs, after other using directives

hi, very nice mod. should really be base game.
small bug : rapidly switching back and forth between 2 dual wield melee setups is causing it to dupe one set of the weapons (2x melee <-> 2x pickaxes doesn't seem to do it). saw no problem for most of a run using it for swapping just ranged weapons, or from melee <-> pick etc.

Yup, I am dummy, or perhaps I had some mod conflict? I remember having some past mod orders get all screwy with scripted mods going awry and then seemingly disable aspects of other mods. Perhaps I had some But maybe I am wrong.

Tbh, I wish I understood more about troubleshooting modding caves of qud besides checking Player.Log, or editing .xml files and seeing what happens.

menus come up and whatnot (in fact, I thought the implementation was clever) but loadouts do not switch or function. I really wanted this to quickly switch between weapon and pickaxe but needs updating.

Adding this to an existing save does not seem to work. Wishing for "open_loadout" just spawns a shaft and does not add the ability.
New saves work normally.

sweet! This kind of thing is so useful in any game where you want to dress up nice for town visits (ie, anything that helps your barter rates with merchants) but then want to armor up for the wilds, or switch between daylight and dark optimized loadouts.

Yes 100 percent. I find my self throwing torches so I can fight with my bare fists but if I could hotkey between torch in hand and open hand that would be ideal.

I really like to carrying around several different types of weapons to adapt to different situations, but it's annoying to work with the equipment screen sometimes. Thank you so much for this!
