@leo -I tested the default in game rover on the track and it did just fine. I thought blue prints were better, but this post is dead.
It is possible to beat the race with a wheeled craft by using the suspension jump (default: hold "X") to make the jump. You have to slow down to get onto the ramps though.
And you could take the track backwards...
Recommended speed for turns (at least for wheeled racers): 20m/s
