Are you talking about the Scuttler from the Easy Start worlds? If so, I tried it and still had trouble. (but it was also the only rover I tried so far that could make the jump.)

@leo -I tested the default in game rover on the track and it did just fine. I thought blue prints were better, but this post is dead.

Even land vehicles have trouble with going fast. I either turn too soon or slam into the wall!
It is possible to beat the race with a wheeled craft by using the suspension jump (default: hold "X") to make the jump. You have to slow down to get onto the ramps though.
And you could take the track backwards...

Recommended speed for turns (at least for wheeled racers): 20m/s

Don't let the seemingly simple layout of the track fool you. With the airboat inertia of the hoverbikes the circuit proves as demanding as the Le Mans. Except it claims more lifes that foolishly didn't break soon enough. Far more.
