@Sir Sparhawk Many of the features listed at the bottom of the description were never completed. Including the christianity branch. It's hard to see but before the event for Rhongomyniad, it says future features.

what is the new catholic religion added, i can't seem to find any new religions in the character creator?

Hello, I want to ask if you mind if I post a mod that has combined your mod with some updates and changes based on other work I've done. I added an arthurian & mordred bloodlines and special grantable Knight's of the Round Table and other titles, the thirteen treasures of Britain as artifacts, as well as an event to spawn Mordred as an adventurer. I'm also hoping to get permission to merge it with some of the Legacy of King Arthur mod.

Sweet mod.
yvictor20 23 Aug, 2020 @ 1:08pm
Could you add a cultural bonus to the Briton like Maal's cultural bonus mod?
Turtle-Gal 3 Aug, 2020 @ 12:38pm
Why is it that the Emperor of Britannia is called "High King" if they are english or norman? Shouldn't that only be for celtic cultures?
SnowyTheSnowFlake 20 Jul, 2020 @ 12:02pm
Great mod, looking forward to see how it develops in the future.
juegosblancos 9 Feb, 2020 @ 12:39pm
Does this work with the ancient religions reborn mod?
John™ 8 Feb, 2020 @ 4:32pm
@Yuiside, the Vanilla aztecs have Middlesex as a holy site. This mod didn't change that.
Thedamsnackbar 8 Feb, 2020 @ 3:06pm
What version is this compatible with?
pietro.aldegani 28 Jan, 2020 @ 5:31am
Maybe some mithraic references mithraic cults were quite present in post Roman britain and in the original tales of king Arthur maybe the religion head could be named holy pater or pater sanctum or something as a nod to the mithraic pater patrum I'm not really sure about this as the traditional head of the english church even before the anglicana shism Is the archbishop
Oh and it would be epic if the religion icone were to be a sword shaped cross
pietro.aldegani 28 Jan, 2020 @ 5:23am
The religion could be called Hibernian Christianity/church or Britonnic/Britannian Christianity or Church of Saint Arthur as the last name implies I would suggest you to add the twelve knights and the famous king as aaints counted as religion deities, they could also work as syncretized Celtic gods, arthur for example coulb both be a founder figure and a syncretic personification of Lugh, Galahaut of toutatis and so forth and so on.
Also It would be cool if the knight could be chosen as patron deities

Arthur giving bonuses to Prestige and stewarship
Galahad to piety and (something)
Lancelot to diplomacy and fertility
Galahaut to martial and (something)
Dinadan to intrigue and (something)
Maybe Merlin to learning (?)

Or/and maybe a round table knight title

Totally forgot about this mod. I thought you abandoned it. Hope to see more progress in the future.

Hi all thanks for the great comments and apologies for the total lack of an update for... Quite a while. Major distractions abound! I am aware of the issues with the Excalibur event and will be taking a look at that first thing after familiarising myself with CK2 modding again!
Vincente Steele 19 Nov, 2019 @ 4:23pm
When running this and Ancient Religions, the event to gain excalibur won't fire and trying to force the event via console command doesn't fire it.
Conversely, events pertaining to forming britannia as Celtic religion also do not fire with both mods on.

Otherwise, they do work well together in my experience.
MrWepx 4 Nov, 2019 @ 7:41pm
is it compatible with ancient religions?
Vermbraunt 17 Oct, 2019 @ 4:03pm
I love this mod. Keep it up man
Fridge Largemeat 5 Oct, 2019 @ 4:53pm
Hi, I can't seem to find/acquire Excalibur no matter how I form the kingdom of Britannia. I've a Briton character and such, played for quite a lengthy amount of time, but it just never appears.

How do you find it?
Darkstar 29 Aug, 2019 @ 7:42am
what startdate is the best for this mod?
wyopaisley 26 Aug, 2019 @ 12:20pm
Love this mod!! Like some others, just wish there was a pagan equivalent so one would not have to be Catholic to wield. The mechanics of pagan and fighting against the Holy Church - just fun. Not necessarily accurate - but still fun. It's tough choosing between Ancient Religions and this one. But tie goes to Pagan to fight against the Catholic church.
Miath 13 Aug, 2019 @ 6:54pm
I do love these mods, I don't use yours specifically (yet) but I'll be taking it for a run on my next playthrough, looking forward to it.
Bubbah Black 13 Aug, 2019 @ 4:40pm
great mod though, keep it up!
Bubbah Black 13 Aug, 2019 @ 4:37pm
hey was wondering if you could change the culture gfx from englishgfx to celticgfx in the cultures/ 00_cultures.txt folder, the arthurian britons battled against the saxons and it's a bit janky to see them looking like saxons and not like proper celts.
Man O' Lore 13 Aug, 2019 @ 5:38am
@Lifetime Underwater The Cornish here in the UK are considered Breton.
This is good mod. 12 Aug, 2019 @ 11:12pm
@Solitudeguard2 the Breton culture is a descriptive term for the the people of Brittany which (despite what this name implies) is actually the peninsula in the Northwest France.
With Thunderous Applause 12 Aug, 2019 @ 10:59pm
Isn't the Breton culture supposed to be the Britons?
Yannig 2 Aug, 2019 @ 4:13am
Please add Brittany under the briton culture group.
Kizer 19 Jul, 2019 @ 10:28am
how do i become gaelic catholic?
lastofthelight 18 Jul, 2019 @ 7:33pm
Does anyone know if Ancient Religions Reborn breaks this? I'm guessing it might.
LaggyLuce 15 Jul, 2019 @ 2:36pm
what version of ck2 is this compatible with?
ɌƗȻꝀŦɆɌ 12 Jul, 2019 @ 11:17pm
id suggest that, instead of having briton be there at game start, for it to spread like a melting pot culture if a welsh or breton char controls an anglo-saxon province and maybe require there to be a king tier welsh/breton char for it to start happening (wales, brittany and pictland are likely first king tier steppingstones for a briton restorer)
Cloctav1an23 7 Jul, 2019 @ 2:19pm
Love this mod so far, may I recommend that you also try to add an event for a new arthurian kingdom or empire perhaps ?
azumashin1 27 Jun, 2019 @ 8:19am
I think that the great wonder in somerset should be a lvl 1 ruin of a great fortress or royal palace called Camelot man! Anyways looking forward to any updates! I am absolutely loving this mod!
Man O' Lore 24 Jun, 2019 @ 7:13am
Maybe not HIS blood line but maybe a blood line detailing the spiritual successor to Arthur. Make it similar to the Karlings blood line if you like.
ajacksonian 22 Jun, 2019 @ 10:12pm
Have a relic search turn up an old Imperial Roman battle standard that was held by those of the legion who remained in Britain to try and remain true to their origins while slowly adopting local culture, and anyone of that culture able to demonstrate that they are the rightful holder of that standard (say via a family heirloom sword or helmet) would be fun. Birthright claimed by sword and then confirmed by battle standard. If they do really well then that group would have a legitimate claim to refounding the Roman Empire under Arthurian auspices, though it would take an empire to get an empire, but that is the way of CK2.

oof
Valis  [author] 17 Jun, 2019 @ 4:43am
Work on the mod is a wee bit delayed as actual real life work has just bombarded me with stuff!
zepper 15 Jun, 2019 @ 5:30pm
what startdate works for this mod? I only ever see the briton culture in a single province in england
Wise Guy 14 Jun, 2019 @ 7:55am
lmao at the people trying to make a reference to Fate.
Man O' Lore 14 Jun, 2019 @ 5:06am

Whats up with the Briton name for ireland being broken?
Valis  [author] 10 Jun, 2019 @ 4:00am
Possibly, but I have eluded to a certain popular iteration of the character already by making Briton a "feminist" culture (No minuses for female rulers).

If I do not make the characters already ingame the 'canon' King Arthur, then the event chain when you claim the bloodline will throw in a couple of mentions that "King Arthur" is such a nebulous figure that they could well have been female.
Meteor 9 Jun, 2019 @ 10:15pm
Can you add an option to make Arthur a female?
Valis  [author] 9 Jun, 2019 @ 9:53am
I'm definitely considering going the route of Grail Christianity having evolved from Celtic Christianity as a result of the latter remaining distant from the main Catholic Church, alt history and all that. We'll see when I start implementing it!

As for the event not popping, it could be due to what I've named the event, and other mods that might use the same event ID code. Next update will sort ID naming.

Yup, I've noticed those guys! I'll be doing stuff with them when I figure out how to do it properly without breaking character history entirely. :)
Twink Emperor 9 Jun, 2019 @ 6:44am
Man O' Lore 9 Jun, 2019 @ 4:27am
Many Christian people considered their old Pagan Gods to actually be archangels.
