If you have incubator mod then there's no real point in having this mod.

Tracked my issue further down and it is not dependant on geoscape/other dome but an interference with the Incubator mod.
The "Nursery Limit Birthing To Spots" checks the Incubator Relocate setting if it should be active.
On newly constructed domes when no INCUBATOR dome is set, this config value seem to be true but unchangeable shown as:
Dome: [NORMAL] Relocate:[N/A]
After setting an INCUBATOR dome, changing the config value:
Dome: [NORMAL] Relocate:[ON] -> Dome: [NORMAL] Relocate:[OFF]
then disabling the INCUBATOR this config value stays false and "Nursery Limit Birthing To Spots" kicks in, but the domes Incubator status shows the same info as above:
Dome: [NORMAL] Relocate:[N/A]
On my newly constructed geoscape dome I never changed this setting but did so one the other domes. So I only observed the child spawn here.
Sorry for the inconvenience...

If it works on other domes than it'll work on geoscape domes, so no idea what's up :)

I'll take a log if you don't mind: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2391106222

sadly this mod is not working with a geoscape dome. At all combinations of "config settings"," nursery present", "nursery space available" children will spawn at the geoscape dome.

GetRealm(self) of 13.9. seems to be working.

I did not have population explosion while on asteroid, maybe if GlobalDomeCount is on, the script should check total amount of children instead of used nursery spaces, because until the children are (about to be) moved to a nursery dome, additional children will be created.

Thanks for the effort, this really helps with how the game is broken atm and overall.
(...and, in case someone wonders, the bug that the game wont move a child to a dome if there are only nursery spaces open and no normal ones appears to be still there...)

Updated
ChoGGi  [author] 27 Jun, 2021 @ 9:12am
Not updated on paradox, since the site is not working properly at the moment...
ChoGGi  [author] 27 Jun, 2021 @ 9:11am
v1.0
Merged checking for all nurseries into one (removed option for Ultimate Nursery).
This mod will do nothing on Incubator enabled domes.
ChoGGi  [author] 27 Jun, 2021 @ 8:46am
Hmm
PillsBurger 22 Jun, 2021 @ 9:47pm
It seems that this is still not working with large nurseries. Was wondering if this will get updated?
Zanko Hale 18 Mar, 2021 @ 2:54am
Thanks again, you're the best :)
ChoGGi  [author] 17 Mar, 2021 @ 5:22pm
I certainly don't go through and test all my mods :)
If ECM and my lib are working then that's my amount of testing with updates.

It'll check for that now
Zanko Hale 17 Mar, 2021 @ 10:18am
After some testing, the large nursery from the In-Dome pack seems to be ignored by this mod.

With Bypass No Nurseries: ON I end up with a sprog explosion.
With Bypass No Nurseries: OFF, no children are born at all. Replacing the Large Nursery with the vanilla one makes the mod work correctly

I appreciate there's a lot to update with the latest patch,

Disabling this mod makes births work again?
CupOfTea696 21 Jan, 2020 @ 1:17am
Yes, it was
ChoGGi  [author] 20 Jan, 2020 @ 7:27pm
Was Respect Incubator mod option enabled?
CupOfTea696 20 Jan, 2020 @ 7:14pm
This mod was blocking births in combination with incubator installed, even though Bypass No Nurseries was turned on.
ChoGGi  [author] 19 Oct, 2019 @ 7:32am
I'd have to see the full log file, you can stick it on pastebin.com or me@choggi.org if it's too big (zip it first)
James187 19 Oct, 2019 @ 5:15am
Thanks for the quick reply. I started my current game before Oct15, but having the issue since then. Could that be it?

Looked at the log file, I don't see any errors relating to this or other mods. Do see this error a number of times:
POPS: [CDiskstorage] Error: Root path dir doesn't exist
POPS: [CDiskstorage] C:\Users\James\AppData\Roaming\Surviving Mars\cache

but the directory does exist when I look.

I also see this error a number of times when I save:
Persist error: Attempt to persist a C function

Mod works very well, thanks a lot! I did have a slightly awkard interaction where I created a new dome and forgot to ban children from it. After that my colony started birthing more children, even though my nurseries were full. I believe some children must have migrated from their nursery dome into that new one, opening up some nursery spaces, then probably the mod interpreted that as a greenlight for births.
ChoGGi  [author] 18 Oct, 2019 @ 11:47am
No worries.
Lucas Peixoto 18 Oct, 2019 @ 11:26am
Oh, got it, thanks! Didn't know about the built-in options. I'm a bit new to using mods in SM :)
ChoGGi  [author] 18 Oct, 2019 @ 11:23am
I never said anything about MCR, I use the built-in mod options (menu>options>mod options).
Lucas Peixoto 18 Oct, 2019 @ 11:11am
Hi! How do you change the Mod Options? I'm using Mod Config Reborn but this mod doesn't show up in the list when I look for it in the Mod Options menu.
ChoGGi  [author] 18 Oct, 2019 @ 8:50am
Is this after my Oct15 update?
Any errors in your log?
James187 18 Oct, 2019 @ 8:47am
Hi ChoGGi,
Great mod, use it every game, but it seems to have stopped working for me with the latest update.
I have a mega dome with 4 nurseries (vanilla), and 42 children. I tried turning off births until there were no children in the dome, then re-enabling, but same result.
Any ideas?
ChoGGi  [author] 20 Sep, 2019 @ 8:49pm
per-dome
ShadouFireborn 20 Sep, 2019 @ 1:30pm
Does the mod count nurseries in domes connected by passages? I tend to build mini domes or trigon domes as nursery domes with schools and playgrounds, connected by passage to the dome that produces the children and provides the food.
wolphin5 13 Aug, 2019 @ 9:32pm
@ChoGGi - Found the option, and it does seem to work! thanks!
ChoGGi  [author] 11 Aug, 2019 @ 12:02am
Does that mod option work?
wolphin5 10 Aug, 2019 @ 4:46pm
One bug I have noticed, is if I use the Ultimate Nursery (https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1563903645) it isn't detected as a Nursery, thus there is no breeding in that dome!
ChoGGi  [author] 26 Jun, 2019 @ 10:55am
Menu>Options>Mod Options (NOT Menu>Mod Options).
grz34998 26 Jun, 2019 @ 6:53am
How do you change the options? I couldn't find this in my mod section of settings.
ChoGGi  [author] 25 Jun, 2019 @ 1:26pm
The game has a timed loop that has to finish up before it checks again, this mod doesn't turn nurseries into spewing babby factories or anything :)
DracoDruid 25 Jun, 2019 @ 12:46pm
I might be wrong though. I was wondering why my number of children was only 16.
Since I have just one (fully upgraded) Nursery, I thought the mod might not realize it was upgraded. I have 18 children now, so I guess it works?
ChoGGi  [author] 25 Jun, 2019 @ 12:34pm
You mean my Upgrade Capacity mod? It should work? I'll take a look later on.
DracoDruid 25 Jun, 2019 @ 12:21pm
This doesn't seem to work with the mod that increases Nursery capacity.
Turtle King 6 Jun, 2019 @ 8:28pm
good point
ChoGGi  [author] 6 Jun, 2019 @ 7:27pm
Turtle King 6 Jun, 2019 @ 5:26pm
i don't think its spelled babby
ChoGGi  [author] 2 Jun, 2019 @ 10:49am
Well now you can use it as a population manager.
AturUwU 2 Jun, 2019 @ 2:51am
Never used nurseries because they seem really useless
ChoGGi  [author] 1 Jun, 2019 @ 7:41am
Depends how you look at it, a nursery is a Residence.
--JR-- 1 Jun, 2019 @ 7:37am
No more damn babies taking up residential spots!
