@Random I'm not seeing the qualification test in 2.4.6.7 anymore, I thought it was under singleplayer / vehicle designer. I remember doing it before in older versions.

Benchmarker is under qualification testing in main or second game menu

@Pirogi2be cool, if you are building stuff that scores 70 on the FTD bench marker you need to get them bad boys on the workshop, thats the kind of skill level I and many others can learn from

@c_p_riordan cool, now youve got me thinking this thing could be converted into a tank

....
Too cheap and it becomes ineffective. Try Nicks benchmarker. This will not tell you if things are cheap but it will tell you if your builds are weak or strong for their cost. I try and make my builds score 60+ or be able to kill most same cost striders expert units, But ive no idea how good that actually is. I was hopping this would hit 100 as it uses design principles from bigger craft I have that cost for cost wreck everything, I might invest some time into why this doesnt score 100+

@lancer 30K is about as cheap as I can build, Using wood will not drop its cost by that much and it becomes massively weaker, it has some VERY CHEAP missile defences.losing these means anything with missiles will wreck it if it cant kill it fast.. The majority of its cost is the main weapon which is not far off as good as I can make, it sacrifices a little DPM for a soft armour half cassematte.(ie all the non explosive shell components are at the front of the turret between enemy fire and the explodey stuff) The other expensive component is its main defence which is speed, allowing it to effectively triple its armour vs slow weapons....

IN ORDER TO BE EFFECTIVE IT HAS TO BE CHEAP FOR POWER

Quite a good craft if I do say so myself. It kind of gave me an idea because I created an efficient high-gauge APS design for one of my best tanks, and I think it would be extra effective in this kind of design. Thanks for the inspiration!

Not gonna lie this is kinda ass, by my standards even as someone with like 200 hrs
TruBlu 8 Jun, 2019 @ 6:30pm
ok, so its small and affective, but is it cheap?
Tributen 8 Jun, 2019 @ 4:59pm
Ok, thanks. Will look it up :D

@Tributen somewhere in the settings menu, and it gives a rough estimate of resource cost V combat ability by tests agains an increasingly difficult enemy that is invunerable to all weapons and score s you points on damage output v damage recieved

Nice ship, i like the catamaran look and the higher middlesection :)
Whats nicks benchmarker? How do i get it if i want to test something myself?

Just like Emporer Hirohito at Pearl habour, I seem to have lost a 0 somewhere in all this chaos. Thanks guys, Tested on Nicks combat benchmarker scores around 70 !

Nooby, it's 33k, not 3.3k resources.
lovegreenstuff 5 Jun, 2019 @ 3:36pm
i refuse to believe this is 3300 resource.
