@random scav

I think Arendelle's (4) Ideology Trees, which is made by @Lord Arendelle has a Reactionary ideology which deals with monarchism. But I'm afraid it will not be compatible with JFD's Rise to Power.

To clarify, Spirit has something to deal with the post-ideology that has spanned after the Cold War, albeit with the political and economic reforms taken place. Neutrality is mostly those for countries that have declared independence from a colonial power and also mostly for those countries who would not align themselves with neither the West nor East.

When will there be an ideology based on Monarchism or Socialism? Freedom represents Capitalist Democracy, Order is Communism, Autocracy is Fascism, Spirit is Theocracy, and Neutrality is just Non-Aligned or classical forms of government.

Having trouble running this mod with the additional policy trees mod. Icons on the three policy trees don't show when I also have this mod enabled. It could be another one of the mods I'm using, but I have no trouble with the policy trees when Spirit Ideology isn't enabled.

So Spirit influence is the same as order??
JFD  [author] 25 Mar, 2020 @ 12:30am
I plan on keeping the Neutrality and Spirit Ideologies separate (but compatible) because its reasonable that someone might not want both. Spirit and Neutrality don't operate as simply 'additional ideologies' like the additional policy branches in that mod (Conservation, etc.) since they have special conditions to adopting them. Hence, they can be easily kept separate.

Idk where you get this idea that Spirit is associated with Order and Neutrality with Autocracy - you can reform any ideology into Spirit and Neutrality will be available as your first Ideology choice after the other Ideologies have been founded (i.e. not 'reformed into').

The next ideology mod that is currently in development might be Neutrality. It might be associated with Autocracy which can be reformed to.

For Spirit, it is associated with Order. And for Freedom, it is currently unknown whether it might be reformed to...

Since the Neutrality ideology is coming soon, it is not sure if it have to be merged with the Spirit Ideology mod that it will be known as the 'Additional Ideologies mod'

@JFD

I cant end my turn, i think because there are two more ideological tenets. plz fix!

@JFD

That might be the 'Sovereignty' submod of the Rise to Power, since I haven't played this one a few years ago initially, which will be included. It adds the concepts of 'Government', 'Legitimacies', and 'Legislature'. Meanwhile, the Versailles wonder has to be excluded since it is already in the Pouakai's Enlightenment Era mod.
JFD  [author] 24 Oct, 2019 @ 1:03am
Not an ideology but a Government yeah
Lucia 22 Jul, 2019 @ 3:19pm
@JFD I wonder if you're going to add an ideology based on oligarchy/rule by the few/aristocracy. It would be interesting to see an ideology that is capitalistic like Freedom, albeit without the democratic elements.

@chang8e: Maybe by reading the desc of the mod? It tells you right there you must first adopt one of the main 3 ideologies, and then you can take Spirit. The way it works after that though depends on whether you have the community patch or not.
ArizonaTea 8 Jun, 2019 @ 4:18pm
I just downloaded it today, and played it but I didn't see it when I got to choose to adopt and ideology, and I know I actually downloaded it because I saw the spirit ideology in the civlopedia after download. I remember a comment below that said you need to adopt another ideology or something like that.
HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO ADOPT SPIRIT IDEOLOGY?
JFD  [author] 8 Jun, 2019 @ 3:59pm
There's two tenets that give Happiness, and you are intended to combine them with Tenets from the other Ideologies - Spirit is not designed to compete with the other three but to complement them.
Mike 8 Jun, 2019 @ 9:28am
very weak, no happiness - autocracy rules again
Toheck 7 Jun, 2019 @ 5:36pm
Neat.
Derpalypse 7 Jun, 2019 @ 4:39am
I keep getting reform glitch when i load up a game
JFD  [author] 6 Jun, 2019 @ 6:34pm
Mostly, due to limitations in the game and the desire to keep this compatible with vanilla (i.e. not dependent on a DLL). Secondly, to represent the idea of Spirit as nationalism (in the most generic of senses; that is, the prioritization of national interests over other/global ones); a specific rejection of global ideologies. In this way, Spirit plays the role of a post-Ideology era that we see unfolding since the end of the Cold War.
Toheck 6 Jun, 2019 @ 4:01pm
This is neat, but why do you have to take a different ideology first?
Bloodborn 5 Jun, 2019 @ 7:44pm
Ah, well I'll do two games then, one with them (and without JFDLC) and one without them (and with JFDLC). Thank you for for the quick response!
JFD  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 6:17pm
These mods are incompatible with JFDLC
Bloodborn 5 Jun, 2019 @ 4:43pm
I've been having issues with getting this and JFDLC all working together. I've had an issue with the 'reform' button appearing on screen, it does not go away, and this is at the start of a new game. All I'm playing with is the full JFDLC collection, and the gameplay + content mods on the workshop.

Are these series of mods just for vanilla?
JFD  [author] 5 Jun, 2019 @ 3:39am
Piety yes, Prosperity no. Currencies was moved into a subset of another component based around Decisions. It's far more aesthetic than mechanical now, than it was envisioned under Prosperity.
Iska and Ismet 4 Jun, 2019 @ 10:51pm
Grimwar this really isn't the place to have this kind of discussion. I've readded you, we can continue in PM.
The Grimwar 4 Jun, 2019 @ 10:47pm
If not what was it?
The Grimwar 4 Jun, 2019 @ 10:47pm
Hey Iska...? We need to talk, i think there's been some kind of misunderstanding between us.

Please Iska, we HAVE TO talk, why did you block me? Was it REALLY because of my vaccine comment on your Stones to Stars Mod?
Iska and Ismet 4 Jun, 2019 @ 10:39pm
Since you've answered that, can I ask if Piety, and also Prosperity, specifically currencies, are at all on your agenda? Both of those, now defunct, mods cover aspects of History and Gameplay that I want to mod myself, but don't really see the point in doing if you have a half-finished project you've sunk many hours into that you'll release eventually.
The Grimwar 4 Jun, 2019 @ 10:34pm
Awesome...
JFD  [author] 4 Jun, 2019 @ 9:42pm
As many as I come up with tbh
Lucius, the Heavenly Dragon 4 Jun, 2019 @ 7:58pm
Do you mind if I ask how many more components you intend to rerelease or create?
Iska and Ismet 4 Jun, 2019 @ 6:33pm
Compatible with my own Heritage Ideology, although there's some design and flavor overlap. Guess I can't complain, Tokata did it first. Ideological reform is a very cool mechanic, regardless.
