Needs an update. The custom game starts of the mod works but breaks research unless you do a workaround like previous posts. Using other game starts work and doesn't break research BUT instead of Nopileos being an all-in-one resource stop like the mod intended it to be, it brings all the gas resources and ice but deletes all the ore and silicon. I guess that is still fine because Grand Exchange is nearby and it has lots more mineral resources than gases.

would really appreciate an update on this one.

I'm not sure why but i can only assume my game lacking the asteroids is due to the lack of an update.

my game had the vanilla materials present in the sector and the HQ is in said sector and I started with 4 Billion credits.

Hi I really liked this mod, But Is there anyway you can just buff the default HQ Location, In Hermits refuge I think, and have no PHQ and have the player find the default one? start with same ships and settings In hermits refuge. I Had trouble getting any research done with this mod and had to reinstall, I thought that finding the Default PHQ might be a work around. Thanks.

Any chance you can update the mod and give NF a sunlight boost? Good as it is with this mod, the last update reduced its sunlight percentage by a fair margin.

Previous comment didn't work for me. Subscribed to Disable Story (No Research) and the tab came back with everything researched which was good enough for me.

To get research to open you need to edit the save file. Find the line, name="AchievementResearchFinished" and change state="waiting" to state="complete" time="0"

did a custom start .. told setting to put hq in the Nopielos zone so all good

Cheating gave me the research, but doesn't complete the mission to research.

I just attempted this one again today. Both starts load for me, but research tab won't load at all.
I can probably cheat to get all the research..... but not sure if everything else works or not now.

I've got tons of mods enabled. including big ones like VRO.
I have the 2 systems available, tons of natural resources in them.
I see the 2 alternate starts as well. The system does have lots of scale plate and other potential hostiles. I had my headquarters spawn in napolis 2 as part of a custom start and it was so close to a khati hive that the hive showed up when i went into build station mode. Good thing I put khati relations to +30 since this is my dozenth playthrough and i'm tired of random incursions.

Man, I really wished this mod still worked. Anybody able to upload a patched version? I have no Idea how and @Browser_ice 's explanation didn't help me because I don't know how to do that haha

Now this Mod is broken. the 2nd V5 patch destroyed the ability to build anything in the HQ. without storage it is nearly useless

How do i create a new ext_01.cat file using these 2 files above (replace existing CAT file)?
No experience coding at all. I just play games lol

Does anyone know if you start as another player other then the one in the mod the research works? Or does the mod screw that up all together. I kinda like the Idea of using the mod for the minerals and gas in that sector? If that still works that is.

You can still use parts of it under X4 v4.0
The resource part of it is still usable.

1) download this MOD

2) extract all its files

3) keep only the following files
content.xml
librairies/region_definitions.xml

4) create a new ext_01.cat file using these 2 files above (replace existing CAT file)

5) change X4 settings so it does not update it back to its original form from the workshop

6) (optional) If you want to keep the update from workshop because of other mods, then you will have to :
- modify the content.xml file to use a different mod ID so it won't be found in the workshop

7) start a brand new game because this MOD will not activate

8) once you started the game, you go an disable this MOD in X4. Its only valid for new games

Any chance for doing the same to Getsu Fune?

I am playing a terran gamestart right now, and I want to make my headquarters sector on the edge of terran space. Getsu Fune is prime ground, especially with its proximity to both the industry in The Void, and the additional resource node of Asteroid Field. It also would let me start incursions into Xenon territory (for righteous conquest) later on due to that connection.

How long does it take for NF-II asteroids to change?
Been playing whole day after installation and the sectors stays exactly the same as without this mod.

The new save contains 15 million rows. It is easier to remove this curve mod than to look for a place where to insert the missing lines in the save. In addition, all editors freeze when trying to open the safe.:steamthumbsdown:

I tested using a cheat menu to complete all research and after that the page was there with all the research complete. dont know if that helps narrow down the issue.

I added this to an existing save, and while resources are definitely regenerating, all resource probes I put down come out with nothing and my miners won't mine in the sector. Is this an issue with the mod or with my game?

Ran this with the most recent 4.0 beta (not expecting a fix or anything, just reporting). Everything seems to work just fine(tonnes of resources, big asteroids only, proper blueprints, etc) except that i cannot access research and am not sure how to get that started (applies to both the true and half start). The quest is there to start research but the panel is blank and talking to the boron yields no dialogue tree, only a basic response.

I don't have any trouble accessing the PHQ inventory...I just click on the vacuum entrance...I don't remember seeing a console. I also have 3.2 and have no problem starting the Half Start.

This works mostly fine for me. But I have noticed that I can't access the console for the PHQ Inventory to the left of the Boron scientist. As in, the console's menu doesn't even appear.
Not sure if it's this mod, or the Inventory collector mod (it goes around collecting inventories from captains and deposits at PHQ inventory.)

Works 100% as-intended, 3.x All small meteors are gone, contains all resources except Nividium (which you can find 1-2 sectors away anyways)

Guys it says the MOD's last update is June-2019. That was almost a full year before 3.0 even came out !

So for sure this is not garanteed 3.* compatible. I think it is most likely it is not compatible at all.

I looked in this zone after using this mod but young gun start, after about 50 hrs is no helium or methane at all, only gas was hydrogen, this a bug or no?

Tested half-start in 3.0 proper. Seems to work fine =]
