If you get stuck in the elevator at the start, just restart! It's a bug that happens sometimes I guess
Cortexcyan 31 May, 2020 @ 11:50am
Whew! That was an adventure and obstacle course! Excellent build! :steamhappy: BTW who remembers the ouroboros everlasting batteries in red dwarf?

I did a speedrun of your map @5:28 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5ogaLFFSnQ
I did solve and enjoy the test beforehand.
willyandme 14 Sep, 2019 @ 5:33pm
i like the consept that it all takes place in a gigantic underground sience musiem i wuld love a map of the full museim so that we can see what the full musim wuld have looked like after construction

I am happy that it seems, you was as entertained playing the map as I was creating it.
As to the elevator; I too am ignorant as to the cause: It have not happened during my own testing...
Some glitches are okay with me - as long as they are not game-breaking :steamhappy:.
jp 11 Sep, 2019 @ 3:26am
Excellent and beautifull! I love it :)
(some glitches here and there, especially in the last part; I can detail if you are interested to fix)
Also I had to noclip just to get out of the entrance elevator! don't know why!? i could do nothing there and elevator was not moving...)
I love your work in Hammer, very creative and well done!
Up and Fav :steamhappy:

thankyou
Lord_Kardok  [author] 9 Sep, 2019 @ 1:39am
You need to use the cube as a stepping stone to bypass the transistion between the two chambers.
willyandme 8 Sep, 2019 @ 1:37pm
how do you get the portal gun?
GrottoLova 10 Aug, 2019 @ 11:15am
This one took a lot of brain power for me. Lots of element re-use
Winnie Wheatley 4 Aug, 2019 @ 6:21pm
:theta:utstanding job. Enjoyed it. Thanks. :steamhappy:

Elevator? I must have a short memory. Truly a magnificent map. Normally I hate the long runs, but the finishes were worth it. A fun adventure! Thanks for your work.
Saffron 10 Jul, 2019 @ 6:56pm
The game won't let me out of the elevator. I'm not sure if its a bug, or I'm supposed to interact with something I can't see.
PirateEnthusiast 4 Jul, 2019 @ 8:15pm
Absolutely fantastic map. i love the circling back.

@Joker: Thank you for your report of the sky-portal. I will remove the possibility in the next version.

@Clantis: Thank you for you recommendations. In fact, the barrel was thought of as a visual element only (to support a panel that was earlier there), but I see that you somehow found a use for it... The intended solution in the cave is to tip the plank using the box and then either place the cube beneath the plank to prevent it from tipping, or use it as another contraweight and then tread the plank lightly.
I will change the barrel to static to prevent the issue.
Clantis 13 Jun, 2019 @ 5:36pm
Update reccomendations:
1: On the gear mechanism part when moving onto the cave
it would probably be a good idea to require the cube to enter the cave
as if you see its not required you will probably assume its impossible
to bring anyway so then you don't bother trying to get it. then you forget it and spend a really, really long time in cave.
2: once entering the cave every barrel leading up to this point has been immovable,
so every barrel you see you subconciously ignore it. replacing the barrel in the cave
with another crate would catch the players attention and let them know its important.
3: id add a extra crate or two because you have to jump at the end of the wooden plank
which may confuse some players.

So firstly, awesome map. Non traditional puzzle elements and the large and varied environment contribute to a fun experience. My preference is a map like this that requires exploration to discover the next step to take. And of course the red arrows help. Also worth mentioning is intermediate progress rewards, like finding the portal gun half way thru, to know you are following the carrot. Finally the view from the last observation room broken window is the pay off to completion. It made me smile.
Lord_Kardok  [author] 13 Jun, 2019 @ 1:17pm
@Joker: I am glad that it worked, but less glad that you found an out-of-bound area :-)
Gerudo 13 Jun, 2019 @ 12:17pm
Also, I've managed to break the map. I got through the museum and you can portal in the sky, and it puts you out of map.
Gerudo 13 Jun, 2019 @ 12:05pm
Yeah I went up those stairs before and totally missed the portal gun, I have no idea how. Thanks!
lowelldogger 13 Jun, 2019 @ 6:04am
I really liked the artistic aspect of the puzzle but the puzzles themselves were a bit awkward and it lacked a consistent theme.
Quixote 13 Jun, 2019 @ 6:01am
@ShaggieIII I get that issue sometimes with custom maps. I just select "restart level" from the pause menu and it should be good.
Lord_Kardok  [author] 12 Jun, 2019 @ 10:59pm
@Master_64: I understand your remark. You are right that there might have been too much focus on the concept and the aestethics and not enough on the gameplay.
Lord_Kardok  [author] 12 Jun, 2019 @ 10:58pm
@Joker: You are right. You need the portalgun to pass the musuem part. You can get it in the second room by using the cube to bypass the stair and the gate by jumping on it.
Autumn 12 Jun, 2019 @ 6:40pm
One of the best looking maps I've seen in a while. Gameplay wise though, I hate it.
ShaggieIII 12 Jun, 2019 @ 4:33pm
Same as tirebiter. Stuck in elevator, doesn't move, doesn't open. Blackness all around.
Gerudo 12 Jun, 2019 @ 12:52pm
So, I seem to not have the portal gun but I think I need it. I'm inside the museum and I can't find a way to solve this, unless I have a portal gun or maybe another cube. If I just walked by it, that's entirely possible. Otherwise, not sure. Thanks!
quatrus 12 Jun, 2019 @ 8:27am
a lot of walking around adventure puzzle. Thanks for creating.
Lord_Kardok  [author] 12 Jun, 2019 @ 6:22am
@Tirebiter: I am sorry to hear the door did not open. Perhaps you could be more clear as to what door exactly and what you did to try to open it?
Lee Something 12 Jun, 2019 @ 3:51am
very nice but a bit weird
tirebiter 11 Jun, 2019 @ 10:56pm
Door never opened. WTF?
可砸 11 Jun, 2019 @ 4:08pm
