Well I think It is justified that they use gold as the state uses all the production and makes no money of of it.

So, the problem is they are pretty seriously unbalanced. They also don't really do what they are supposed to do. They should generate +1 gold in addition to production, not cost GPT. But they should also generate unhappiness equal to the amount of production generated.

I'm curious as to what an "industrial district" is in relation to this mod. I grew up next to an Industrial Park. It was mostly warehouses and buildings with busiess to business kinds of companies. Is this what inspired your mod or is it ment to be more of a factory district with heavy industry and manufactureing?

j/k .... but I hate when people diss the mod community as 'over-doing' it or 'being obsessed with computers' .... if it weren't for j offs like us this planet as we know it wouldn't work, seriously, FAA, banks, NSA, CIA...ummm....our news that you poo-pooers get to site in your living room and watch....not a friggin one of those things would work w/o ocd computer type people like us so they can go back to their pedi-porn....I'll keep reading tutorials on new languages and scripts just so they can continue to use a friggin debit card. lol!

Anyone that doesn't like these mods can go play in a live-fire zone...

BTW, your mods are awesome. I got used to XML from civ4 and don't know eff-all about Lua to my own detriment as I guess it's pretty popular now ( I'm a PERL, Open Source; Debian preferably, C++ and Java guy...also some SQL, Networking, and scripting for various OSes), but your mods for 5 in particular have made the playing experience way effn better for sure...esp Industrial District; BTW, I've not tried the supercarrier again because with promos + you can do a cargo upgrade with a standard carrier, and I couldn't upgrade from carrier to supercarrier; I've gotten lazy, I should probabably just learn Lua.

But thanks have a good one....this game is like effn crack is to the inner city for relationships in the burbs....haha....this a Skyrim....my g/f's wanted to kill me!

Hey, thanks. I've been on that one; some wordpress ( I prefer Drupal personally ) aka "plz h@X the eff out of my makeshift server software" site; I was on another wikia that had some indy d/l links too. I just know that when I first bought Civ5 vanilla there were a ton of mads that worked together ( with minor glitches ) that I wish I still had...short version == had to replace laptop drive and got lax in backing up the data....so yeah, if you find any other interesting mod sites for this game which I'm having an affair with since Civ II .. plzz do lemme know.

hey ex.nihilo, you can find my industrial district mod here http://forums.civfanatics.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=21886 and download it. I'll also put up my tactical nuke mod up on civ fanatics soon also.

I wish there were a way to just ftp the modpacks I've used before, decompress them myself into the right place from servers without the steam app. ( Most of ) yours are available on whoward[...]'s server( s ), but other guys that've posted some neat mods I've used before, I can't seem to find and keep having that problem with steam app not downloading them to begin with. I can't find the tactical nuke one...I really like that one; and I liked that tiny death robots one for some reason, when you have 5 or 6 players remaining in modern era...it's fun to have some of those late game mods in place to break monotony.
:-/ why must I use _this_ freaking client and servers only? I'll take my stinking chances...afterall they are test code and mods afterall, beta by design essentially...

@AnDanDan

True, but cities due tend to have some urban sprawl outside their defined borders, and the industrial areas are rarely near the centre. This will make a welcome addition since they didn't bring back towns, which I sorely miss. Cheers.

This doesnt seem like it should be an improvement but a building. Districts are part of cities normally, not out in the countryside
