Hey, if you're sad this mod is broken for 3.1+ don't worry, the lite version is still fully functional. Slap that bad boy into your game and it'll work like a charm.

sadly this mod is broken for 3.1 :(

Check the Stellaris wiki, they've got a guide on it

How do you integrate your Vassals?
Mugi  [author] 30 Sep, 2019 @ 10:36pm
Negatory. I leave that to your discretion; either use an AI mod like Starnet to make them competent without AI bonuses, or use a mod that gives vassals difficulty bonuses.
GnoSiS 30 Sep, 2019 @ 8:34am
Do these vassals retain the difficulty bonuses for AI?
Mugi  [author] 18 Sep, 2019 @ 8:36am
I don't believe this "respect borders" has anything to do with my mod, sorry! But that sounds like a vanilla issue to me.
Stephen 18 Sep, 2019 @ 8:19am
How does respect boprders work, I tried to keep starbase but it still ceded to uplifted primitive.

Would you consider making the civic available for GC and Corporate empires? I think it'd be sweet to RP a corp sneaking in businesses just to eventually vassalise. Or a hivemind lead by a self-proclaimed god that think it's destined to lead the galaxy, etc.

Tech sharing works like research agreements. You don't trade techs outright.
Glutman 28 Jun, 2019 @ 7:27am
The tech sharing does not seem to work. If i check the contact screen their tech is still "pathetic" compared to mine and the victory screen also shows their tech score as much lower than mine.

Feudal Realm Civ, aye

I've not tried Vassalizing a FE without the civ or war goal so idk about that.
Mugi  [author] 24 Jun, 2019 @ 10:44am
Is that for the Feudal Realm civic, or in general?
JenkoRun 23 Jun, 2019 @ 10:58am
Isn't it a bit odd to be able to Vassalize FE's? They are beyond arrogant and their pride is at the top
Derik 20 Jun, 2019 @ 10:17am
Hmm i see, but i dont think the AI will do any diplomacy after being vassalized in any form (even as thralls). I think its an inherent bug with the paradox AI where they thing they cant do anything after being subjugated
Mugi  [author] 20 Jun, 2019 @ 9:32am
They should have a similar level of independence as Megacorp Subsidiaries - so they're able to wage wars independently and take territory of their own, but they have to fight alongside you if the need arises, that sort of thing.
Derik 20 Jun, 2019 @ 2:40am
After playing for a while the mod is pretty good in my opinion, it does exactly what the feudal civic always should have done. the tax amount is just right, not enough to gimp your vassals but enough to make a bit of profit. Just a question but how much diplomatic independence do they get and can they still claim systems as vassals?
Flare25x25 19 Jun, 2019 @ 8:07am
Like if you could just show which traditions file you edited, that would be extremely helpful and I think I could get the to work
Flare25x25 19 Jun, 2019 @ 7:21am
How would I go about disabling cultural overhauls version because I like yours better, but I like the rest of cultural overhaul
Mugi  [author] 19 Jun, 2019 @ 6:56am
Unless I'm misunderstanding you, empires vassalised by force are of course going to be upset about it. You'll just have to continue the beatings until morale improves!
Derik 19 Jun, 2019 @ 6:05am
Also i used Starnet AI
Derik 19 Jun, 2019 @ 5:57am
Could you give a temporarly +100 or something as a opinion modifier (decays like with -3 or -5 over time) cause its pretty annoying having them immediately rebel without any trust building up
Mugi  [author] 18 Jun, 2019 @ 4:54pm
I'll get on it. Let me know if you find any bugs with it in 2.3.2.
谢尔盖 塞里科夫 18 Jun, 2019 @ 1:22pm
Please update
Derik 17 Jun, 2019 @ 10:13am
Gonna try this mod out, from the description it sounds pretty good
Mugi  [author] 17 Jun, 2019 @ 8:09am
It'll be easy enough to make a compatch for the pair, but I can't guarantee that it'll receive constant updates.
Flash2 17 Jun, 2019 @ 6:24am
The Lite and the Full Version of this mod and Cultural Overhaul 2.3 [ Ethics-Civics ] have still one conflict file: \common\governments\authorities\00_authorities.txt but the differences are not that huge, I guess a merge should be possible (or a compatibility patch or whatever).
Cultural Overhaul does not touch the Feudal Realm Civic (as far as I know at least), so I think the Full Version of this Mod and Cultural Overhaul 2.3 [Ethics-Civics-Traditions] are mergeable as well, only 3 Files have conflicts:

\common\governments\authorities\00_authorities.txt
\common\tradition_categories\00_diplomacy.txt
\common\traditions\00_diplomacy.txt

But to be fair, besides comparing the files I honestly don’t know what I am doing. So I don’t know if the mods are really mergeable. I just wanted to point out that there is still a conflict with Cultural Overhaul, with the lite or without the lite version.
Gavril 11 Jun, 2019 @ 8:45am
oh, starnet fixes that? cool
Mugi  [author] 11 Jun, 2019 @ 8:38am
It doesn't, no. That comes with its own complications that, to be honest, are better solved from the get-go by mods like Starnet.
Gavril 11 Jun, 2019 @ 8:25am
Does this change the vassal difficulty bonus? Vanilla vassals loose the difficulty bonus upon becoming a vassal. So if you are playing on anything higher than ensign, your vassals essentially have a handicap compared to normal empires.
Ultimuh 10 Jun, 2019 @ 6:25pm
Thanks, I did not expect you to do this as fast as you did. :)
Mugi  [author] 10 Jun, 2019 @ 4:46pm
Everyone Can Vassalise Lite added. Use it if you wish!
Ultimuh 10 Jun, 2019 @ 12:54pm
Now that you mention it, I'm not sure Plentiful Traditions edits any existing traditions.
Perhaps it is best to ignore that then. Thanks for the quick reply though.
Mugi  [author] 10 Jun, 2019 @ 12:50pm
It looks like Cultural Overhaul does something similar for Feudal Realms, is that right? I can easily make a version of this that's just the quality of life changes for that (and for anyone wanting a similar lightweight version of the mod).

For Plentiful Traditions is that just for giving the appropriate tradition swaps?
Ultimuh 10 Jun, 2019 @ 12:25pm
It would be a good idea to make a version that is compatible with the Cultural Overhaul mod.
And the Plentiful Traditions mod as well.
