Oooof, the soviet Union was an absolute fucking nightmare, considering it was an authoritarian communist regime where it couldn't keep up with modern times due to an ever growing population and during its early days gaining a bad reputation for forcing its ideals on other like it deploying the "iron curtain" across all of eastern europe against thier will. Communism has never worked out to quote un quote:"bring freedom to the workers" it just ends in authoritarian dictatorship with mass famine and poverty as wells as people having little to no freedom at all. My God were only so lucky to have the United States...

If you want a better explanation, the Loyalist are still loyal to the Russian Federal Government, while the Ultranationalist want Russia to be like of the old days of the soviet union. Also great npcs, always love the loyalist in the game. :D

what i understand is that the ultranationalists want a communist russia, and the loyalists want it to remain the way it is

This faction in COD always confused me, do they not want communism or do they want it as thier gear and uniforms and equipment emblems confuse me.
