CAN SOME1 SANCTIONED THIS, I'M DEAF! THANK YOU.
Same here, please sanction it, it's important for accessibility.
+1 for arrows, in 8 directions
I'm not hearing impaired myself, but I have friends who are, hoping this will get whitelisted someday.
One thing that wasn't mentioned here was that the mod was developed, while to aid hearing impairments, does not denote directions of duplicate specials. So if there is more than one assassin up at a time, for example, the mod will only show the direction of one. This helps allow some level of fairness as well.
My hearing loss is not complete and I still die to disablers and specials. It is a tool rather and a complete and pinpoint accurate solve.
When I got an audio signal for a disabler and killed it, I often got surprised by a 2nd disabler of the same type (which also none of my allies heard, so it's not just me).
Now I find myself assuming that disablers are always present and ignoring audio signals as they are more misleading than helpful due to the false sense of security after a kill.
I highly doubt that this result is intentional.
Visual telegraphing is standard procedure nowadays, and Vermintide is already utilizing this for other things.
It would support the intention of giving the human player a chance to prepare for a threat, and account for humans being more visual than auditory creatures.
(I'd go even further: The kill tracker is a core feature. Have it display active enemies permanently and and cross them out when they die. A mod that streamlines the list has already been sanctioned, this wouldn't be so diffeent.)
Don't get me wrong it's a noble goal, and I want this to get sanctioned, but one of the rules to get sanctioned is that it doesn't provide a big advantage, which this could if it still points out specials in a horde. Like a Packmaster is waddling inside of a chaos horde, a person with this mod would see, someone without it wouldn't, therefore this mod provides too big of an advantage. I can't program no do I know balance all too well, so I can't really help, however I do want to see this improved and tweaked so it gets added, you know?
