I'd say limiting it to only playgrounds and the HG is probably the way to go. Playgrounds are intended to be a special purpose rec building for kids, adding it to all rec buildings IMO kind of defeats the purpose. But because the HG is an advanced spire it makes sense to me to add the modifier to it.

Positive traits yeah. As playground_visit with HG and parks if possible. I'd def put that in after I'm finished with Vanilla.

I could add a playground_visit to children that come to the hanging gardens, then it'd do the same.

Just for informational purposes after reading some of the comments in here:

1. Playgrounds can generate positive traits in children other than what you can train them to have in schools, and they only use schools as a 'work' shift. Which means not only are you increasing the number of perks they can gain but the rate they do so, so you always want to have playgrounds.
2. Without this mod, having the hanging gardens in the child dome is actually detrimental, because it actually causes their needs to become unsatisfiable.

Seems like an oversight/bug for hg yeah. I was also referring to mention below of only playgrounds producing perks as well though. I think I knew that initially but had forgotten.

There's a usable_by_children that the building template needs to have, hanging doesn't have it.
I think it's the only service that isn't, so could be a bug?

I've smashed out over 100 hours in SM recently after picking it up and did not know hanging gardens didnt accept hellsnots. I keep restarting around sol 50 -100 at the moment (for OCD, I'm pretty sure I could see one through), but yeah - I woulda always assumed that 'playing' in HG worked just like 'playing' in playgrounds. And parks........ why wouldnt it? Besides being logical in game and out; it doesnt stop the need for a purposed childcare/education dome asap. I even swap out a playground or 2 for a garden in there.

This kinda spoiled my morning. Bugger. However this may be my first mod for SM after I stick to a full playthrough/terraform (:

Yeah but schools and gardens look more aesthetically pleasing imo than those playgrounds. Schools will generate those traits as well.

hellspawns not allowed in the Hanging gardens. I did not know that. hmmph, and here I been building them in all my kids domes hahahah. Thanks Choggi for the mod.
