2 maps with almost no copper ore but enough Tin. 1 map with allot of copper ore but almost no Tin. This makes it hard to craft allot. Enjoying the rest of the layouts cause they give all you need except the ore. If you save up enough techs its possible to skip enough and get to the iron age quick so you are not depended on the copper and tin.

The tech costs are to low no fun in that. the milestones are close to garbage. i dont get why this has so much upvotes. very bad mod

For the record, I get the lag too when raiders come after like, 300 - 400 people but honestly, that's just the game itself. I highly doubt there's anything to be done about it. I think the devs know that, and it's why there's a soft cap on population in base game. :P

But I really appreciate being able to build to higher pops. Even if there's lag during invasions (down to maybe 1 frame / sec), it only lasts as long as the invasion does. Then it goes back to performing just fine! At least it does for me anyway.

Ill fix this asap.Cant give a time scale ive moved over to a new machine, i have to find files and work on them, but ill do it.

I'd also like to report population issues. I've LOVED playing this scenario, but I can't seem to get far beyond a population of 760ish. I have infrastructure for roughly 1000 people, plenty of surplus food, tools, and clothing, and my welfare is constantly above 80%.

But no matter what, the game will not go above that point. I've sat here knitting and babysitting the game for another hour or so just watching as it went from 740-780, then back down over and over.

Besides that, having lots of fun! I'd just like to get the last milestones unlocked.

This really is a "walk in the park". 3 points per base tech + all animal races spawn nearby.

Really nice, easy to build yet not overly flat and boring maps.

@Littlelamb, ill take a look at the population constraints, as for lag thats beyond my control. I could reduce the requirement for "City status" what cpu, ram, and gpu do You have?

Reached 883 population but the game went into lag. Very bad lag when there was a raider attack. Could not keep playing.

I like this scenario very much. My only problem is i am finding it very hard to reach the required bread and population limits necessary to finish the City Status Milestones

I have reached population of 764 villagers but do not seem to be able to get higher

Other than that , a great scenario.

I'm a self-confessed Anglophile, got a penfriend from Sheffield, and love history and know a lot about how our peoples have had contact through time. I'm always feeling a deep feeling of pride when I know each Christmas we give the city of London a 100 year old perfect Norwegian Spruce (a spruce species of it's own), as thanks for the UK to keep our king safe and training our resistance soldiers and also armed them, during WW2.

Of course also interested in the Viking Age, where we were near complete conquest. During Ivar the Boneless an Dynasty was established that included England, Scotland, the Northern Isles, Ireland, Iceland, Greenland, Norway and Denmark, but eventually settled with Alfred the Great.

After the Normans came, they killed off both people and crops and animals and left Umbria and Northumbria a howling wilderness for generations after a rebellion of Scandinavian sympathies in York.

Really cool! It's even shaped like UK. My mum just took an DNA test, and as suspected it was mostly Norwegian, but there were also some Welsh or Scottish, I guess Gaelic. My favorite poem have always been The Stolen Child, by William Butler Yeates.

Hello, your mod is amazing, but how i can increase child birth? i'm locked to 450 population cause my women don't want to be pregnant! Max 10 pregnant for 100 women.

@spacecowboy7 thanks for that, it seemed extremely unlikely to just be an incredible string of bad luck, but it must have been. I started another new Scotland map, and did not have nearly as much problem with the herds. Got a nice, 200+ "Steel" Age settlement going now, and I will probably give my first Welsh settlement a shot here after a bit. The Angles can keep England, though ;-)

@aramis1250. Here below is the code, it gets run at each game start, it is not zone,map dependant, its the same piece of code that runs whatever map you start on, so it should spawn same amount for each map/zone. Animals also generate on seasonal turnarounds, so the only thing i can think of, is either your starting in a spot far from animals, as they (game mechanic is seems) tend to bunch up in places, or you just have to play through the lean times (low animal pop) until more animals spawn at season times.

You'll also see in this ive disabled most "era limitations" to increase animal population spawns.

I really like this mod, and enjoy the starting setup. However, I have started 5 different games in the Scotland map, all of which had just abysmal animal populations. It's not just a spawn problem, it definitely seems systemic—five different starts, over the course of several weeks and through multiple versions of both the game and the mod.

Id like to build a campaign, with multiple maps, and have a lot of ideas to make it fun & challenging. I'm looking forward to the game becoming more modable in near future too :)
Best of all, it really satisfying and uplifting seeing so many liking this mod, which encouraging me to do better and more.

It's all good. Enjoy it so far and your map is the one i play the most. I saw there'll be more mod support coming at some point. Really hope so - Sorely looking for some additions to add some longevity as opposed to difficulty scaling. Anyways, you doing any more maps anytime soon? keen to try

This map will not be changed at anytime in future.
If someone gets a bad spawn, they will just have to start a new game. I wish more was under modders controll, but as dev said it is not.

yeah, as soon as i posted my question below, i noted my save game died. Something about a tree that was supposed to be somewhere and ..something. No worries though - easy enough to restart and fun enough !

The animal percentages you can change no problem.

The problem is changing the resources, this rearranges the stuff in the terrain: deposits, trees etc... and the game gets very confused when loading savegames.

We should have thought of this, but it's a bit of a shortcoming of the game engine as it it now.

I have savergame issues, it crashes upon load, example: ERROR: Exception: Trying to replace tree 19, with tree: 0, instance: 791/1144, chunk: 0,1 Had to delete all my savegames.
