Right now is it Singleplayer compatabile and is the hotbar still vanishes after death?
is it compatable with death recovery mod and inventory death keeper

Just wanted to point out that I've never had an ARK Playthrough without this mod installed, it's super handy, and still works as of today, April 14, 2024.. If it's not working for you, you're doing it wrong.

Hello, it might have been answered but I’m on single player with a few overhaul mods like primal fear, ark eternal and ark omega. I loved a mod like this in minecraft. I would love to make this work for my playthrough but for some reason it’s not doing anything even though I put the .ini settings in. Please let me know what I’m doing wrong and thank you for your time and effort into your modding

@OneAndOnly.Isak (and others) I don't know if it still works or not, there have been lots of ARK changes since I last touched this mod. Use at your own risk!

Does this mod still work? I made the ini changes but can't set loadouts still.

I have recently back to this game and I've bother by the lack of hotkey for inventory items, so I want to find a mod that add hotbar and I found this mod.
But the point is,I tried the mod and it didnt work. I subscribe this mod and did the following things:
-go to input.ini add the actionmapping to the bottom of the file
-start the game
-put hotbarswapper under active mod(at the lowest because scared of interrupt other mods i added)
-I host a non-dedicated server(i wonder is this the reason mod cannot work)
-try press the keys, none of them work and I am new to action mapping things so i don't know if i press buttons correctly (I press the buttons like: ctrl+n, ctrl+x, ctrl+scroll up, ctrl+scroll down) Did i press the wrong button?
I have seen some comments talks about mod id i dont know if that related to my problems tho.
Let me know if i doing something wrong

@MannenMyten Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it! I know the real toxic comments are the vocal minority but I can definitely see how it would wear down somebody over time.

Today I found out that Eco has left the modding, because toxic people harass her day in and out with negativity about her mods and it has broken her. It makes me sad to hear and I hope she gets better soon.

I just wanted to say that me, my brother and nephew love and appreciate ALL the work you do for the modding community for Ark. I wish more people would tell all of you modders that what you are doing is great! And not complain and bitch about things you get for free.

Been looking for an alternate hotbar mod because I've got a lot of extra items that I use frequently, and get tired of having to open my inventory and swap out stuff.. but if it's not working on SP, andd clears the hotbar's on death, I guess I still have to wait and swap things out manually :(

Yeah I can probably do that. I've thought of remaking this mod again from scratch to see if I can get it to work better, but finding the time has been tough.

Hello there. Any chance of making this open source, so others can take a crack at getting this working for SP... I really do miss my multiple hotbars from pretty much every other game Ive loved.

Yeah I never did end up digging into why that is, but I may revisit it sometime in the future as a new mod with better controls (no config file needed).

Shame it doesn't work in SP, definitely would have installed it. I think this is the first time I've seen a mod that modifies the user's interface that _only_ works in multiplayer! How strange.

Steam>Settings>Interface> Checkbox for Display Steam URL address bar when available
This will add a URL at the top of the page or Profile. This is also very handy to get the SteamID of players.

@AJ I've updated the mod description to include the mod ID. Mod IDs are in the page URL when viewing the mod page, but with the recent Steam client updates it appears the URL is hidden which it didn't used to be. :/

Mate you should really add anywhere in a desc. tag section like prev. mentioned.
Quickbar, toolbar, hotkey switch, anything will be easier for ppl to find it. :)

Yeah I looked for some kind of hotbar, toolbar, etc. myself and found nothing. I literally started on page 1 of most downloaded in last 90 days and went through page by page and I found like 50 mods (not bars though) I wanted to try I've never seen before searching;

Yeah that's a pain point I still need to figure out. :/

I have this installed on my server and it's working great in multiplayer. Only bad thing is your bars disappear when you die and you have to set them back up quick. Just don't die!

I wish it could be client-only, but unfortunately ARK mods don't work that way.

It does need to be on the server, but the configs go on your client.

Are you sure this mod doesn't need to be run on the server? I've not been able to use it that way, and when I run my own locally hosted game it works fine. I'll see if I can convince my admin to run it on his, but it'd be great if I didn't have to.

Aw man I was real excited for this and then I read it doesn't work for single player.

I'm playing on a multiplayer server, have got +s in front of the lines in the default one, other changes I made to the files are taking effect, but no luck yet getting this mod to respond.

I've subscribed to the mod, edited both filed mentioned below, yet am still unable to swap bars. Any troubleshooting tips? Just working with the client, since you say that's all that's needed.

@shellybelly1217 This mod should work just fine on a cluster, but each user that wants to use it needs to set up their Input.ini file, whether it's a clustered server or not. Changing the server config for this mod won't work since these are client-side changes.

@Yoora Yeah it seems a bit inconsistent, some people don't have stuff in their Input.ini file, I'm still not 100% sure which is technically the "best" method, but as long as it works for you that's great!

Sorry if this is a stupid question but does this mod work on a server that is clustered or would all my members need to put those shortcuts in their files as well love the idea hope i can use it for our cluster!

I had trouble getting the controls set up. When I put them in

(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini

I found no /Script/Engine.InputSettings. So I made the header and put these settings in there, but it turns out that no other buttons will work except the ones you put in that file. That made life pretty hard. So I googled and found that you should put them in

(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Config\DefaultInput.ini

There is a header named /Script/Engine.InputSettings in that file. Put them under there but add a + sign before each line (like the rest of the lines in that file) and it works.

@illiana Believe it or not I still haven't been able to get back to it haha. I have a work trip coming up soon and all I've really been able to do since my last update is get my dev kit updated (which is still a good thing because I had a full drive...)

Any luck with the fix for single player soon? LOVED the mod in multiplayer and have now switched to single player and I miss it ;D
