Edward isn't really based off of any one specific engine. According to Awdry, Edward is based on a heavily modified Sharp, Stewart and Co. "Larger Seagull" K2 Class, supplied to the Furness Railway in 1896. Awdry modified him though, by giving him much smaller driving wheels than the actual K2 class, and a different tender, if memory serves.

This would more closely fit Molly, though it's still not the same class.

Hello Molly

UPDATE: Kind of doing a massive batch of updates, so please see here for information: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/workshop/discussions/18446744073709551615/1681441347871087327/?appid=446800

@Aunt Jenny (106): I mean, it isn't Edward (though I get the resemblance, it's just not the same engine he's based off IIRC), but yep, all of my engines support tinting/recolouring.

I mean the blue tints aren't great IMHO, but that's a fault of the game itself and there's nothing I can do about that. >.>

@gr1m. Is "Edward" a recolorable engine?
Because I wanna paint him blue.

How about the I3 4-4-2T tank originally built for the Brighton main line, regarded as Marsh's best locos.
Then there is always Billington's massive L class Baltic tanks (4-6-4T) the last steam locos built for the Brighton main line before the electrics took over.

@SovierOnion: I've had a bunch of requests for it already. It's less to do with the whole Thomas thing, and more to do with...I dunno, I just find nothing about the E2 interesting. Visually they're bland as hell, historically they weren't that good, and they only made, what, ten of them anyway? There's a lot of really cool, exciting or interesting LBSCR engines, but to me the E2 just isn't one of them, so there's no real interest in making one.

I mean, eventually, there's going to be that one troll who's gonna say "where the hell is Thomas?" without realising how flawed the E2s actually were.

It's ironic that (I think) all of the engines, even the most famous class, that Billinton designed to replace older models are gone, whereas there are still a couple of William Stroudley locos floating around, like Stepney and Gladstone.

@Bran: Thanks, that's actually a good idea. I actually didn't realise I'd released so many mods! xP
Bran 27 Jun, 2019 @ 2:28pm
I went ahead and threw all your locos and rolling stock into a collection so people don't have to do a bunch of sifting through stuff to get everything put together
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 27 Jun, 2019 @ 4:55am
@SovietOnion: I mean, I don't plan on doing the E2 at all, so....kinda? >.>
TotoDG 27 Jun, 2019 @ 3:54am
Admit it, you're just doing everything in your power to prolong doing the E2, aren't you?

B2: Daniel.
B4: The Cooler Daniel.

UPDATE: Added placeable assets, updated the mesh with some minor detailing and whatnot, and redid the livery colours. I'll probably be going back and revising the livery of most (if not all) of the LB&SCR engines to match.

Also added a LB&SCR B2 model as well - since it's so similar to the B4 and shares so many assets, there's no point in releasing them seperately. Stats and images are above.

@Galactic-Nerd-sk: o.O what do you mean? xP
Galactic_Nerd 26 Jun, 2019 @ 8:53am
How do you keep going???
olaf.reininga 25 Jun, 2019 @ 7:15am
What about a E series 0-6-2 tank?
Green Ranger (aka Gr1m)  [author] 25 Jun, 2019 @ 5:08am
@Norfolk_Chris: It's actually funny, I never actually set out intentionally to do a bunch of LB&SCR designs, it's just worked out that way that I happen to like a lot of their engines - particularly all of Stroudley's stuff, even though it was more or less the same boiler strapped to any number of different wheel arrangements and/or a tender. They're just kind of consistantly nice looking.

I think at this point to sort of finish off the line-up I really have to start looking at a J or an L, and maybe a Craven single or two, but at the same time It's been nice doing other engines too. Maybe I'll take a crack at something more complicated, like one of the crazier single driver British express engines or something.
Norfolk_Chris 25 Jun, 2019 @ 2:19am
If you are running out of ideas for another LBSCR locos perhaps you could consider doing an 'I3' 4-4-2T tank. These are personal favourite of mine.

@nuttybloke: You can create a constructable asset from an existing mod using the files provided. Essentially you'll need to set up a construction file (.con) that points to the .mdl. That being said, sometimes using the vehicle version of the .mdl doesn't always work, so you might need to create an asset version of the .mdl instead.

My suggestion would be to find a mod with placeable assets and copy the folder to your mod folder and break open the .con and .mdl files with Notepad and have a look around to see how they work (Of my own mods, I'd recommend looking at the Generic Brakevan mod since the file structure is very simple for that mod) . There's also a tutorial on making placeable assets in the guides section IIRC, so be sure to check that out.
nuttybloke 25 Jun, 2019 @ 12:24am
Loving these assets, keep them coming!

How do you create the placeable asset version? I like to create realistic looking train yards and carriage sidings, but after the steam era there are no more placeable versions. Can they be created from the files downloaded by steam or does the author have to package it as part of the mod?
Le_Derp_Heavy 24 Jun, 2019 @ 10:40am
This series is great! Hey, i know that you've done loads of LB&SCR stuff already, but how about doing one of the sharpe 2-4-0T's? One of them, Hayling Island, got converted to a 2-4-2 later, which might be interesting!
