@Bonicle idk man, I know exactly where the trigger for the tower to fall is, and I purposely make a beeline without stopping for a moment to reach that clock tower. Even without using the homing attack on the first spider, I just can't build up enough speed to reach the clock tower in time. I've tried several times in practice mode.

I don't know what you're talking about, I've tested it over a hundred times and other people have also managed to do it. The only thing i can say here is trying to use timestop hat but honestly, being the first real challenge of the mod I would recommend that you beat it legit.

After hours of trial and error in practice mode, I am finally able to almost make it, lol (closest I got on normal was the last stretch of balloons before the timer ran out). You weren't kidding when you said it was a challenge! There's a lot of cool mechanics and detail you put into this too. gud map, i like

I want to like this level. I really do. But the clock tower falls WAY too quickly to be able to jump from it to the next ledge. I've tried shaving time off any way I can, but by the time I even get close enough, it's too far down to reach the next ledge.

Points for creativity, but unfortunately it's a yes or no rating system.

By cancelling walljumping i mean that you can't walljump from wall to wall (as in you can't climb a wall after you jumped out of a wallclimb that was made after a dive) And no the game doesn't get confused because of the gears.

I think the tilted gears right after the 1st checkpoint makes it difficult to walljump because the second gear is tilted slightly downwards, and the game get's a little confused on if it should be a wall or a ceiling. I think a lot of the people complaining about their walljumps messing up is because of that part.

Also I have no idea what you mean about dives canceling walljumps, I dive into walls and walljump up them all the time, you just need no-bonk or a quick jump before contacting the wall.

I think you have a misconseption with the games movement mechanics. See, when a player dives, it cancels all walljumping until you touch the ground again. So just dont dive into a walljump and it should work properly.

Rift Collapse is straight up love and fun for me, but some of the jumps seem to not work out in my favor. As I would jump from a wall to the next, it completely cancels dropping me to my death. I have no clue if it's my fault or what's happening with the game, but this seems to happen randomly every so often. Other than that I like the level even if I never complete it running one hit hero.

I don't know if you see this, but I wrote a comment a while back! If it works fine for you, it might just be a me problem. I don't know what's not working on my end, though, I haven't had very many opportunities to pass the first section where you wall jump, it's kind of a roulette on whether or not it'll let me once I boot it up. Thanks for replying, either way!

Seems like the timer in the normal run doesn't actually kill you. I'm fine with that, I didn't really end up seeing the different modes behind spawn on my first run. Pretty much at it's current state, the normal run is trying to get to the end before the timer running out, but there's no punishment for it running out.

Also, just finished the level proper - a really fun expirience nontheless!

I have now played it on a practice mode and now I also seem to be stuck on what I assume is the very last part. After a few sets of red baloons there is platform, but I am genuenly clueless as how to reach it. Is this by design in practice mode, not letting me get to the final platform like that?

A vey curious level, although I'd wish it was made a little bit clearer that our first run should be practice or laid back: some of the challanges are quite unexpected the first time around, and it's a problem if you are hurrying under a timer. For example, the first time I saw the sprint hat signpost I had no time to understnd that it had it croeed out (red on red during during rift collapse is basically invisible) so I was sure that the game is telling me to equip is ASAP and less than a second later timer appeared, confiriming my misguided assumptions. Obiously, I was stuck there for quite a bit before even realising.

I really liked the timed falling things parts, and how naturally it all resets. However, this also had troubles with visibility during my first attempt. Super speed sections also were quite entertaining!
A also had a surprising amount of troubles with deapth perception in this particluar level. I am honestlyclueless as to why though, so there is that.

Sorry! I thaught I made it clear enough that the boats fall and you need to reach the end quickly before they sink alltogether.

The falling tower is way behind the time it should break, and so you cant arrive to it in time, so no checkpoints, no going onward and no time piece.

Nah dw I thought it was done purposefully to mess with players lol, I didn't make it too clear and it sounded a bit salty so sorry for that.
Tho after getting to the mafia boat I think I did ran into a bug though. For some reason I keep being treated as if I fell off and sent back to the checkpoint. Is there a volume that follows the player if they're too slow?

Sorry, that didn't occur to me. I usually don't use diveboosts while platforming, I just use them to quickly get around. Glad you like it though!

The reason you can't wall jump is not due to the level but a game bug, having the no bonk badge or dive cancelling before starting a wall jump prevents you from grabbing onto the 2nd wall you're jumping to.
Really frustrating how you made it a death trap to dive boost from the platforms to the boat but overall I'm having way more fun that The Corrupted Blue Rift.

huh, that's weird. This mod DOES have checkpoints. Did you play until the falling clocktower? The first checkpoint is after that.

This is a very interesting mod, I love the concept of it, and from what I've seen it's done well. However, I've ran into a glitch where Hat Kid can't wall jump for some reason. I don't know what's causing it? The lack of checkpoints is also frustrating, if we die it's reasonable to send us back to the beginning, but if we fall, we get the same result, and we're down on health and time.
