Nice Mod, THX!

@sukho204 I stopped playing Skyrim a long while ago, and stopped updating the mods then as well. I have no idea if it is compatible with other mods now.
sweetroll204 13 Feb, 2016 @ 2:57am
will this mod be compatible with dragon base health 5k mod?
SleepDeprivedPanda 21 Jan, 2015 @ 10:56pm
You need to make an update that makes the dragons bigger! X3

Manda 13 Aug, 2013 @ 4:25am
plz How can I fly from dragon
krawll 13 May, 2013 @ 12:43am
One thing i would love to see dragons do more often is their fly-by grab and throw . They seem to be doing that very very rarely . I mean , even an unmodified vanila dragon has the potential to take down armies if they actually used their abilities in a smart way. One of those abilities is the grab and throw while flying . If they used it more often they would certainly be considered more dangerous and fearsome. If you think you could tweak their AI to use that move more often, just that one simple thing would make even the weakest dragons really dangerous.

this mod still working? before getting the new Dawnguard xpac I started noticing dragons would go after giants and sabercats, etc, after I engaged them in combat. what gives? maybe there are some mods this one doesn't work with?
Cerbie 17 Jul, 2012 @ 10:18am
thanks, i was getting bored of owning an elder dragon with an arrow while standing RIGHT in his face....
Mvrd3rCrow 11 Jul, 2012 @ 5:45am
This mod plus Tougher + Smarter Dragons would be a nice combo, Dragons that fight more in the air and dont land as much, or perch more often, AND don't fly away to terrorize a mud crab would be the perfect combo.

Can you use both of these mods together? I'm willing to try but I really Don''t know how to test and see if they are conflicting when installing through steam..

I recently noticed that having this mod above some of my follower mods seemed to negate the AI change, because the dragons started leaving to attack wolves, but still seemed to have the scaling. Putting it below follower mods seemed to fix the AI.

Finally a dragon takes more than a couple of swings in damage!!! TY!
Sir Panbot 8 Jun, 2012 @ 12:45pm
Nevermind I figured out from the CK that it's 500 points for a Blood dragon which is around a 1/3 increase in health from vanilla or around 50 extra arrows in my case.
Sir Panbot 8 Jun, 2012 @ 12:34pm
How much of a bonus to health are we talking about? I have been playing with this and getting a major beating from Blood Dragons at level 11 and just assumed I was bad at fighting dragons (probably am but still :P)

@memitim901: To simplify my earlier comment, this is a great mod, and generally scales quite well until the player uses powerful weapons and armor. The weapons (vanilla craftable) that make killing them easy do roughly 200 damage with 112 from enchantments. The armour (vanilla craftable) had a combined rating around 600, and resisted about 50% fire and frost. Without that the dragons are challenging even for an upper level character.

This is my favorite dragon mod so far. I look forward to the named dragon version.

@memitim901: This is a great mod for adjusting the dragons, but keeping with the vanilla theme. It is likely one of the few that would also keep dragons appropriate for lower level characters. I would suggest raising the bonus health some. In vanilla some "Dragon" dragons were weaker than some of the bears. You may also want to add a sharper scaling factor that starts on all dragons around character level 60 to increase the challenge when players will likely have matching suits of legendary armor, powerful weapons, and decent elemental resistances. Overal a good mod.

For upper level characters with 400+ health, legendary armor at a rating of ~600, decent frost and fire resistance, and legendary dual enchanted weapons they get a bit weak in one-on-one battles, but so does everything else. I have not tried lower level characters yet, as I am still on my 1st, currently level 67. I want to troubleshoot the mods I have added before starting a new character. This one seems to run well.
cetacean 12 Apr, 2012 @ 7:47pm
Ok it seems to be working. I am not sure what the conflict was, but I reloaded the mod. It seemed to make a bigger difference with the frost dragon I encountered than the ancient dragon, but that should likely be expected given the larger difference in vanilla from my level 60 character.
cetacean 12 Apr, 2012 @ 6:34pm
This sounds great, but I have not been able to try it as I had graphical issues with Hillgund's Tomb not loading beyond the first room, and no dragons appeared before that. It may be a conflict with another mod, but I did not have any other dragon mods active.

I just started a new character and Dragons cant be beat without a companion. When does the scaling start?
Punks not dead @ T O H C 7 Apr, 2012 @ 7:40am

Sweet, I repeatedly got annoyed when the dragon I was fighting decided to chase a goat, subscribed it.
gormagon510 29 Mar, 2012 @ 2:14pm
THANK YOU skyrim was getting really boring since im level 109, this should make things a little more.....intresting.
memitim901  [author] 26 Mar, 2012 @ 5:34pm
@panbot 3000 - I do plan on eventually making this mod work with MQ dragons. However, because those dragons are used to further the story I want to wait and make sure I have the mod 100% balanced first.
memitim901  [author] 26 Mar, 2012 @ 5:33pm
@nyvrea - I haven't tested my mod with that one yet, but I believe they may work together depending on load order. If that mod is loaded first, the inclination to aerial attacks should change, but the scaling, bonus health, and target choices should remain from my mod. However, I am unsure if the bonus damage from breath weapons will carry over.
nyvrea 26 Mar, 2012 @ 5:18pm
Is this mod compatible with "thougher and smarter dragons"?
Leytra 26 Mar, 2012 @ 5:31am
Me: Jadr level 9 Space Marine (Skyrim 4000 mod) And dragons are already a laugh so yup downloading right now.
Sir Panbot 26 Mar, 2012 @ 5:12am
Would it be possible to do something similar for the MQ dragons too? I had planned on doing a mod like this that covers the MQ but I never seem to get round to it.

Anyway, cool mod and much needed.
OrangeViking 24 Mar, 2012 @ 8:27am
I think I will give this mod a try. At the moment the dragons are landing in front of me (one almost landed on top of me) and let me hack away; they are dead in seconds. YAWN! Hopefully this will fix that.
AllieCat54 [gD] 23 Mar, 2012 @ 8:34pm
Yes I agree. Very interesting. Did find the dragons became a joke. Thanks for the mod, will favour it, to see what you come up with next. :)

Interesting.. Favorited, to follow it
