A rival Octoling version of this...
(Or is there one already that I just didn't see?)
also for me the gradient colour thing keeps fading in and out of existance
Step 1 - Get two models of the same hair piece you want.
Step 2 - Hold the C key on one of them and allow the "gradient" (or it will say "additive but that's okay) and "spots".
Step 3 - Turn off the actual hair. Some may not have this on them so you'll have to use SubMaterial. Go to "Invisible" and use it on the name that has nothing after "hairstyle".
Step 4 - Use TF2 Paint Tool on the second model with one color and and add a different color to the gradient model you just made.
Step 5 - Use the Easy Bonemerge Tool. Right click the visible hair first, then left click the gradient you made.
Ta-Da! If you have done it all right, it should work out nicely!
(I do gmod a different way and i put a tutorial in the description how i did and hope you find it useful)
