write 'charinfo'
and when the event comes note the name of the event, because of charinfo u will be able to see the name when hovering over the event
then save the game (do not save as compressed, it need to be in plain text so u can edit it)
open it in notepad or whatever
and search for the name of the event, and then delete its appearances, not only the name but the context it appears in, use your best judgement

that being said if u do not care to try any of the above steps, i will tell u that it does sound like u fugged with some load order because of dlcs/mods after starting the game, which is not a good idea in general
if u start a new game it will most likely work

I'm getting a constant message as the eastern roman empire after a successful crusade for Jerusalem or Antioch. It says that after the crushing defeat blah blah blah, the orthodox church or (name here) is under the rule oft he romans and I click the button that says the Romans will no longer bow to the saracens. And it returns every month. Non stop. I tried to see how long it would do it but after 3 years its still doing it. I tried to save the game and come back and it still does it. As long as I own either of those cities, i get this message. I haven't even gotten to Alexandrea yet because the crusades have only gone for these two cities so far. Is this a bug, is anyone else getting this? how can I get rid of it without having to remove the mod.
It didn't start happening until after I added a couple more DLCs to my list.

Every time I pledge support for the Orthodox Crusade, I get kicked out and have to redo it. Missed out on two crusades so far

I've read the closely control the ecumenical patriarch bit a few times now and looked in game trying to change a random court member into the leader but i cant figure it out? there's no option if i left click them etc what am i doing wrong?

the mod is really fun, but the declare catholics as heretics does not seem to work

Can someone pls tell me how to pass agnatic laws and closely control the patriach. i dont get a decision or anything?

Really great mod, finally something that will make me wanna play orthodox Rome instead of catholic or hellenic one.
I have only one things i do not like about it and would change.

That passing agnatic laws and low women rights are required for next step in getting close control over Patriarch.

Also can i ask about if denouncing catholics will disable their crusade?

i implemented local/ecumenical dioceses system on a kingdom by kingdom basis so the simple answer is no
u can fix this by either
1 conquering constantinople, which means u will want the dioceses to be ecumenical
2 try a mod called title manager, and bring all duchies under a russian kingdom
3 maybe if you edit this mod it might be possible to implement an empire based system

I am Russia, and I want to destroy the local Diocese, and have them under the Russian diocese. Is it possible to do this? Or does it go back to Constantinople?

No, they don't reform and fix themselves. If I edit savegame and remove any land titles - I mean castle - then everything is fine but as soon as they get another one they turn to 150 knights. Surely something wrong

what the heck happened to the Brotherhood of the Holy Sepulchre? They are now something like 100knights and 150 Special that doesn't look like reorganization it's more like templar etermination

It seems like the change crusade target function is broken. Whenever I try to change the crusade target, it switches back to the original target right after.

question, is this ironman/achievement compatible?

So, I have this problem, whenever I call up the Brotherhood of the holy Sepulchre, they diss me off, telling me that they'll leave me because of my crimes against the faith or something, they're still my vassals, they just...won't help me.

the mod doesn't completely work with other mods that change religion stuff, what a surprise, huh?
and i am not going to make a version for every mod
if someone wants a version compatible with hip or another mod:
it is rather easy because i have left readmes in my mod that explain the parts that cause incompatibility
but they will have to make it themselves

It works for me with HIP. It might just be that there's not enough strong independent wome- I mean Orthodox rulers who are willing to join, so it just becomes you and the EP against the whole Muslim world.

Until then, you should be able to take the "halt Orthodox Crusades" decision so that you aren't bleeding moral authority, then you can restart the Crusades once you think more people will join.

Unfortunate that the crusade mechanic does not work when activated while playing HIP, literally no one joins the crusade lol which just turns into a -10% moral authority. Huge bruhh moment

Is it possible to dismiss the pentarchy after already doing it? I dismissed it once but now after conquering there are more pentarchs, or is this how its supposed to be? I expected being able to excommunicate a vassal who's religious head is the pentarch of rome.

Does one have to go through these in order? That is to say, first make the patriarchs subordinate to Constantinople, then re-assign the dioceses, then agnatic laws, control the Patriarch etc?

And wrt to enable crusades... does it take some time for this to activate? Because I've taken the decision, and right-clicking on a heathen picture does me no good.

still playing my save and theres still the same amount of people with agnatic as before so waiting isnt fixing it and some of my vassals are just following other vassal patriarchs even though theres no kingdoms and theyre all duchy tier

The decision isn't disabled for me, but then again, I'm using this mod with HIP - so it kinda renders the "Declare Catholics Heretics decision" to be a bit inferior.

You could rework the mend the schism decision to be much more fair, in that instead of converting much of the catholics, you can combine the decision to declare them heretics with the mend the schism one so that by mending the schism, the catholics are considered heretics, and it should bring moral authority up for orthodoxy and decrease catholic moral authority. It could be anything really that could rework it.

it's not rly about buffs or nerfs with this mod (although it's mostly buffs). it's about changes (not in doctrine, but its manipulation by the state) that could have happened to the orthodox church by visionary emperors

if u want peaceful conversions, invite a claimant to ur court, convert him and then put him on whatever throne u want

agnatic law is enforced only after title creation or after title inheritance.
it is this way so people who only have daughters r not screwed over instantly, and have some more time to have a grandson from a daughter or adopt a heresy

isn't it obvious that u shouldn't be able to reassign dioceses for kingdoms u don't own?
