Thank You for uploading this awesome mod I love Gumi. There is a slight problem though. Whenever I use this mod I notice a lag issue. I opened up the console command (~) and it was spamming this error message.


Material models/survivors/gumi/gumi_constraint does not support vertex format used by the mesh (maybe missing fields or mismatched vertex compression?), mesh will not be rendered. Grab a programmer!


Do you know what could be causing this, is anyone else having this same issue?

watchout dudes and duddettes, there is alot of scamming going around steam recently. if you receive a chat message from a friend wich prompts you to go outside of steam and then download a SRC file DON'T DO IT. link will be disguised as a png or something else this link has more details about what has been going on:

Mod has been reuploaded, hoping the download glitch has been fixed, in case its still not fixed, I'd recommend you trying to download another mod and see if with that download this mod also downloads too.

I'm having the same problem with this mod as well as a couple others which I remember having the same problem. Steam isn't downloading the actual mod file, however, it still downloads the files coorisponding image.

It downloads but isn't showing up in my add-ons list. And yes, i have restarted the game and steam.

@Busty: it's not my fault whether the workshop service downloads the mod properly or not, if it doesn't download anything I'd suggest to keep retrying, that's not a fault on my side, but more on the steam servers
@ColdPhyre: I want you to make sure the add-on is enabled in your add-on list and that you don't have other mods that conflict with Ellis, such info as "dosent work" doesn't help me at all to see the problem, may as well be the same problem as Busty, where the mod wasn't entirely downloaded

Seemed to have figured something out. I fixed the problem on my computer by downloading this from l4dmaps, extracting file and moving to addons\workshop directory in Left 4 Dead 2 files, and renaming to the same filename as the thumbnail JPEG I mentioned earlier, which in my case was simply the number 179050299. I don't know if that number will be different from anybody else, but the basic point is to 1) download from l4dmaps 2) move to same folder as other addons 3) rename to the same file name as the JPEG obtained by downloading from here.

I'm having the same issue. I searched for it in the addons folder of my L4D2 installation, and found the thumbnail JPEG associated with this mod, but the mod file itself is nowhere to be found, not in the addons folder, not anywhere else on the hard drive. Either it's not downloading the mod itself, just the picture, or it's ninja-deleting the mod for some reason.

It's really nice-looking! But it doesn't seem to work for me... I suscribe, Steam downloads it alright, then when I launch the game, the add-on is loaded quickly on the main menu, but doesn't show up on the add-on list. Any ideas why it doesn't show up?
