I would like to confirm to everyone that this mod is partially broken. The part of Louisiana Purchase that gives gold and science, and reduce tile costs works fine. The problem is the part about gaining diplomatic favor from science. If I knew how, I would fix it and upload the patch for you all.

Unfortunately Thomas Jefferson's leader ability where Unimproved passable features yield +1 gold, +1 science in cities with a campus doesn't work which is a shame as I wanted to play for a science victory while generating a lot of gold....

It says he gets diplomatic favor from eurekas and researching technologies. I got the Eureka for sailing and finished researching it, and I got no diplomatic favor. Not sure why it is rated highly. It clearly isn't working. Will unsubscribe

This leader has some serious balance issues when you play it with Civilization Expanded because he stacks title discount bonuses up to 90%.

I suppose something in the September update removed the ability to get favor from techs. Have you seen reef tiles getting the gold/science? I haven't built campuses in coastal cities in any games I played.

Also: Only tiles with Forest/Jungle are getting the +1 Gold/Science.

Hey man, I am not getting favor for researching techs/triggering eurekas. The new mods I got since my last run with TJ where i got favor was CIVITAS resources, Sukritact's resources, and improved resource yields. I will turn them off and test

Thomas Jefferson is really good on the new Primordial Map. Volcanic Soil counts as a feature so you can get science from it

One of the best America alternate leader mods on the workshop. I love playing Jefferson, though I must note that the diplomatic favour bonuses from tech research and triggering eurekas are just a hair overpowered. I feel that gaining diplomatic favour JUST by triggering eurekas is a bit more balanced.

Fully enjoying this CIV at the moment. Diplomatic Favor can get out of hand though. I second the suggestion View The Phenom made. In my current game I make lots of Gold through trading Diplomatic Favor. Feels a bit cheap, but I love swimming in Gold. xD

Playing with this civ, I noticed that it's really easy to get a lot of Diplomatic Favor; I had over 1000 before the first World Congress Session.
I would suggest remove the favor gain on researching technologies, and only leaving it for Eurekas.

I really like this mod's playstyle. It's like a scientific (instead of tourism) version of Kupe/Maori... just leave lots of forests untouched. It's too bad America's film studio doesn't really benefit this playstyle at all, though. Although I guess you can combine it with national parks...

you are aware the first photograph was taken a year after Jefferson's death correct?

Jefferson died July 4th 1826, the earliest surviving photograph was taken in 1827

I love the description. A concise and unbiased write up that mentions the good and doesn't sugarcoat the bad, nor spend time hamming it up for virtue points. Something not every civ leader author around these parts is willing to do.

Not even remotely close to his actual photograph. However it is a great civ to add to the game. I have not tried it myself. I stick to the stock civs and enhanced make overs of Sumer and Dido.

Could you do me one HUGE favor? It is cool if you don't want to. The second Jersey for Jefferson just doesn't look right to me in-game for some reason. I don't know. Maybe if instead of the yellow/gold it was grey, or something like the background color for his first Jersey? Other than that small thing this is fantastic, thanks for making this.

UU is set by the Civ, not the leader (though a leader can have extra UU's as part of their leader ability, like Roosevelt's 'Rough Rider'). So the only way to change the P-51 to something else, would be to create a completely new Civ (rather than just an alternative leader).

I love this, but I don't see how the P-51 Mustang goes with him. I think something like a "Minute Men" UU would be more appropriate. Either way, great work looking forward to more of it.

one problem that may show up is using kennedy space center with jfk u cant win a science victory because of it
