Tron 11 May, 2023 @ 8:45am
has anyone found a way to fix the government tree being messed up?
Builder 10 Aug, 2022 @ 7:02am
Can confirm this is incompatible with 6T, Crashes when picking Democracy.
John Oakman 23 Jul, 2022 @ 6:59pm

@Grug - you need to talk to Firaxis, as they're the ones that make the NPCs get grouchy over different governments.
Theta Kryptos 8 Nov, 2020 @ 4:20am
I like this mod, but it has one SERIOUS flaw. Other civs will denounce you for having a "different" government, even though it's in the same category. For example, in my current game I have liberal democracy. Every single civilization just denounced me for it, even though all but one of them are parliamentary democracy. That makes ZERO sense and needs to be fixed.
Tigranes 22 Jul, 2020 @ 12:19pm
Does anyone know how to prevent all AIs from choosing the same government? I have like 25 civs and 22 of them all chose Parliamentary Democracy even when Liberal one is available and has more policy slots!
Faysal 18 Jul, 2020 @ 2:36pm
Had to unsubscribe all JDF mods.
Faysal 18 Jul, 2020 @ 2:33pm
Does this ruin the technology tree?

Thank you, it's always annoyed me that communism was listed as a form of government when it's not, it's a form of economics

Isn't the One/Few/Many classification of polities created by Aristotle?
choijanggyu 31 May, 2020 @ 12:37pm
I founded that this mod error with RwF:scientific policies mod!

Absolute Monarchy doesn't seem to let you train armies despite what the tooltip says.
Dr. Oz The Great And Powerful 19 May, 2020 @ 10:02am
Is there any chance you could/would add constitutional monarchy?

@matthewkcarter19 @JFD

Something I found while swapping into an AI slot during a game with this mod - the AI bypasses researching government tiers 4 & 5 (Ideology tier and future tier) altogether because they're optional. They choose to stick with Parliamentary Monarchy every single time..
matthewkcarter19 3 Feb, 2020 @ 7:06am
This is a great mod! The only problem with it is that the AI gets stuck on Tier 3 Governments even when they have researched later civics to get better governments.
Slamurai Jack 20 Jan, 2020 @ 2:46am
The bonus for absolute monarchy that lets you build corps and armies without the required building doesn't seem to work, unfortunately.
Pan Zagłoba 10 Jan, 2020 @ 10:21am
It's stuck on tier 3 government , tried pressing Shift-Enter , but it doesn't work for me
phenyxasher 7 Nov, 2019 @ 2:34am
Game always gets stuck on tier 3 government choice [final of the three to be research], otherwise I like all of the RWF mods.
Tacoaloto 3 Nov, 2019 @ 5:33pm
Semi-Workaround: If you cannot get the game to open the government Panel on the turn you unlock a Tier 3 government, Press Shift+Enter and it will force end the turn. Then The next turn, you can change your government (but you have to pay to unlock it)
Tacoaloto 3 Nov, 2019 @ 4:35pm
Also Getting Issues once a Tier 3 government is available. I'll check the troubleshooting guide but something is causing the game to just stop working the government panel.
Ryan42 23 Oct, 2019 @ 10:19am
When I saw this mod it showed my user icon and I was like wtf how come you use my paint art, but it must have been a glitch.
Echo Seven 24 Aug, 2019 @ 1:30pm
Yet not another maps pack, Wonder Tweaks (more build locations), district icons, simplified gossip, real great people, more lenses, more barbarians xp, mappa Mundi, your mods (RFW, tech policies, starting gov's, scientific policies, revised policies, religious policies, great age boosts, gov't overview, classes, golden age policies, dark age policies, custom historic moments, cultural policies, civics and techs, alt. gov'ts), gold resource, enhanced mod managed).
Echo Seven 24 Aug, 2019 @ 1:25pm
@JFD - same problem as LaFway. Once a government tier is unlocked, there is no way to open the government panel (it makes the noises, but nothing pops up). As you are forced to open the panel to continue, it essentially ends the game. I will provide a mod list and save game.
Major_Nutt 5 Aug, 2019 @ 9:12pm
@JFD, I figured out a workaround. If you shift-enter to force end the turn, on the following turn, you can once again open your Government tab. It's just blocked on the turn you unlock it for some reason.
JFD  [author] 5 Aug, 2019 @ 6:40pm
I really can't do much without information about your other mods, lads. And just because you don't suspect a conflict, doesn't mean a conflict isn't present. Even more helpful, see the Troubleshooting section in the description.
LaFway 5 Aug, 2019 @ 6:14pm
I have the same issue as the two comments below me, my game won't allow me to open the government panel once I unlocked the new tier 4 governments and can't end the turn as well. Starting a new game in the modern era allowed me to select them but not my previous game started in the ancient era if that helps.
Андрей 5 Aug, 2019 @ 10:50am
I have the same((
Major_Nutt 3 Aug, 2019 @ 1:23pm
I'm having the same issue as Hades' Hitman. The government selection screen won't appear after you unlock a few different governments. No conflicting mods are installed.
Hades' Hitman 19 Jul, 2019 @ 2:55am
This is a great mod, but I am currently having an issue. Sometimes when I unlock a new government, I'm unable to open the government screen and also cannot end my turn, so I'm stuck unable to do anything.
weraptor 13 Jul, 2019 @ 3:18pm
Thanks a million
JFD  [author] 13 Jul, 2019 @ 3:06pm
And legacy cards should now be fixed
JFD  [author] 13 Jul, 2019 @ 2:52pm
No because RwF did something entirely different with them
weraptor 13 Jul, 2019 @ 2:27pm
There is no Legacy card from Noble republic, also, have you considered adding additional Government Plaza buildings (even without the graphics) for your alternative governments?
David A. 12 Jul, 2019 @ 6:47pm
Hi!, I love this mod and I wanted to know if there is any way to translate it into Spanish. I would really love to.
JFD  [author] 6 Jul, 2019 @ 7:38am
I do plan on sticking with the Demo/Mono/Oli structure. Parliamentary Democracy was originally Constitutional Monarchy and for the same reason I switched that I wouldn't use Parliamentary Monarchy - it simply confuses the player because Monarchy is one of the three classes (and these have in-game application for switching), so having a Democracy-class Government that's called a Monarchy isn't exactly intuitive. And the same is true of Noble Republic. Ultimately, there is a degree of conformity that needs to be put in place so that the player's expectations roughly match up with how the governments progress.

And yes, Cyber and Corporate are intended as the Demo and Oli ones. That's why I made technocracy into a specifically autocratic form.

The actual implementation of that three system structure will be for whatever mod finally overwrites the GovernmentScreen - so far I've been avoiding this for compatibility's sake.
Digestive Slurpfreak 6 Jul, 2019 @ 7:25am
That is, if you're still sticking to the old model of Democratic/Oligarchic/Autocratic from the original mod! I could be misinterpreting! (Cyber Democracy should also be Democratic and Corporate Republic Oligarchic because of the way in which they model real world power structures, IMO).
Digestive Slurpfreak 6 Jul, 2019 @ 7:22am
Hey, JFD! THis is really good! But could I recommend that Noble Republic and Parliamentary Democracy have their flavors swapped, and Parliamentary Democracy be renamed to "Parliamentary Monarchy" or something to that effect? While I appreciate the intent behind these things, the real world Noble Republic, Golden Liberty era Poland-Lithuania had by far the highest voter representation in the world at its time, more than even the United States of America!
Bickdalls 5 Jul, 2019 @ 8:06am
Building a government building and switching government to either other types or higher tier don't reward a legacy policy card as it should be.
Telruna 5 Jul, 2019 @ 12:21am
Absolutely happy this is back
Telruna 5 Jul, 2019 @ 12:20am
Absolute Monarchy! I AM THE STATE! *SLAMS FIST* :-)
