I think so, but it's slated for a rework whenever I get the time anyways
AimAce 16 Feb, 2022 @ 11:03pm
Still work?
Captain Lime  [author] 21 May, 2021 @ 4:56pm
Make sure that you only do this in Core cities!
god of being bad at everything 20 May, 2021 @ 6:06am
holy shit how do you deal with the negative loyalty-4 loyalty is fucking insanity if you have a 10 pop citi it takes 3 turns to get to 0 like holy sh*t

@Captain Lime
I find that PortraitBackground = LEADER_NEUTRAL_BACKGROUND does't show in game setting screen.

So, Can you change his PortraitBackground to 'LEADER_T_ROOSEVELT_BACKGROUND'?

maybe as a workshop replacment but keep the project and make the building a requirment to run the project? would that work?
Captain Lime  [author] 24 Mar, 2021 @ 7:58am
I was thinking about replacing the project with an actual Printing Press building. And updating with better art. Thoughts on this?

together with statue of liberty this is insane. love the mod
Captain Lime  [author] 7 Jun, 2020 @ 1:25pm
I'm working on an update pass for all my mods. I got a bit waylaid trying to update Thule, but I just did the update and now I'm going to keep trying to update them all.

1.The unique project is not displayed in the selection screen and the load screen;
2.The name of the project does not appear properly in civilopedia .
Hope you can fix the problem. Thanks. I really like your mod.

I seem to be having a serious bug with this mod - namely, that when played by an AI it won't build settlers except through the special project. Anyone else have this issue?
captainfrfr 30 Apr, 2020 @ 4:49pm
conceptually this is hilarious because this is the amerikkka we actually live in today, in the chapo trap house matt christman analysis sense (which isn't necessarily the bernie sanders/Zizekian optimism sense, but i digress)
Captain Lime  [author] 28 Feb, 2020 @ 10:02am
I'll fix that

TXT broken in civilopedia entry for the unique project

I assumed the great theologian points are somehow related to the problem (though why I'm not sure, since I don't remember the issue cropping up with other mods), but I noticed the issue well before I had recruited by great prophet. Thanks a lot for investigating.
Captain Lime  [author] 19 Aug, 2019 @ 2:01am
I think it is related to issues with RwF if you're speaking about Great Theologians. I'll look into it
circeus 18 Aug, 2019 @ 10:06pm
I'm having some trouble with the great people points. To be exact, I don't seem to be getting any extra great prophet points whatsoever even though I seem to be getting the right number of great scientist points. Could this (somehow) have anything to do with RwF?

Holy freak, -4 per citizen per turn is rough! Definitely encourages more solid empires but yikes. With Statue of Liberty though that is powerful. Less powerful because that wonder comes so late.

I love Ben Franklin. Truly one of the great Americans.
Digihuman 6 Jul, 2019 @ 7:57am
Ooh, I love this.

I love getting to make the sheer number of alternative America leaders we have duke it out on a map :D
Te 5 Jul, 2019 @ 8:50pm
Thank you for this -- and for the groan-worthy puns, too. :D
Captain Lime  [author] 5 Jul, 2019 @ 6:16am
Thank you guys for the support! This mod was part of a big Fourth of July effort, and I think a few Americans over in Civ V were released yesterday as well, while Sukritact and I did Civ VI (and a few others who are coming soon).

@CosmicFox - I'm interested to here why you think he was a scoundrel. I am aware that he did not invent electricity, but his contributions to electrical theory (specifically proving that storms carry evolving electrical charges) and especially to theory of light (he invented to bifocal, and was an early supporter of the wave theory of light) had great impact on the scientific world. Moreover, his axioms and essays helped set up those ideals of American society. The worst thing I can find about him was that he was a womanizer and a trickster, and was not an ideal father.
(Also, Sorry I deleted you comment - I was going to press the Post Comment button and misclicked)

First Sukritact's Thomas Jefferson, then Captain Lime's Benjamin Franklin!? What is it, my birthday? God, thanks so much for a Ben Franklin Mod, I had no idea what was missing from my life!

"Unlocked at Printing. For the duration, City loses -4 Loyalty per citizen per turn, but gains +2 Amenities. Upon Completion, City gains a Settler and a Military Engineer without losing a population."

So, what you're saying is, settle a brand new city at Printing and just use it to crank out free settlers and engineers? :P
