Finally solved!
Your level was on my mind for 2 whole years. It's awesome! And I really hate that it took me so long to just press that button to respawn a blue cube...
Thanks for memories XD

https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Modified_Fizzler_Fields They used to be here, but it seems the download is gone. Here's one for ye https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/517118630585040898/937792606983815178/textures.7z

Color cubes I'm pretty sure I extracted them from the BEEmod.
Lasse Hölderlin 31 Jan, 2022 @ 10:26am
And the fizzlerAre no the color cubes and the fizzlers futures here from BEE2mod?, the Valve Developer Community wiki says how to create the BEE2mod fizzlers. (I am no sure if the textures are already included in the game files)
Stoic⁧⁧Sirius  [author] 31 Jan, 2022 @ 7:53am
I haven't used the BEEmod since pretty much forever, so I dunno really how to do it, but the following would be my thought process were I to attempt to get bee stuff into Hammer.

Depends on what asset you want to use tbh. If it's something simple like a logic gate or trigger field, then you can build those by hand in Hammer. If it uses a custom model or material or sound, then you need to import those. Afaik there are no custom entities in there, if there are any at all, so you may not need to edit the fgd.
Lasse Hölderlin 30 Jan, 2022 @ 9:22pm
A simple question, How do you get BEE2mod assets in hammer?
Lasse Hölderlin 30 Jan, 2022 @ 9:09pm
@_galaxy the logical gates aren't property of BEE2mod, they are prettry standard in digital electronics and mathematical logic.

Nice map. :SpRad_ThumbsUp:

Very well done! You were right about the difficulty increasing as you go. This was a very fun puzzle! Thanks!

Really nice map. Not too hard, definitely enjoyable.

Really good puzzle and one of the best front page maps I've played recently - thumbs up.

Devious map, especially for someone like me who didn't know what an OR Gate was. 5/5.
gabet4 17 Jul, 2019 @ 12:22pm
verry nice logic puzzle
great job
PirateEnthusiast 15 Jul, 2019 @ 1:13pm
very excellently designed :) the "in case of panic" escape route was a nice touch lol
Teo 13 Jul, 2019 @ 1:04pm
I loved that third puzzle, great work!
_galaxy 12 Jul, 2019 @ 6:19pm
Altough all the chambers used the same fizzle'n'swap puzzle , they still had something going for each. I find them very unique and actually had a lot of fun playing them. Not much logical thinking except for the OR gate, with both of these concepts really shining on the third chamber.

Altough... I think a visual representation of the OR gate would have been better instead of just showing "OR Gate" or connecting 2 buttons to a fizzler since it might confuse players especially those not familiar with the Bee Mod logic gates. I would have gone for this: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/id/galaxxyx/screenshot/795365734781306206

Fun easy map. Took me about 10 minutes to complete. I like the hammer work at some places, though some areas did feel a bit cramped. Thumbs up
DeathWish808 11 Jul, 2019 @ 3:53pm
Nicely done, my man!

I was pretty crappy at doing it, but here is my blind run..... https://youtu.be/h8mSmgtsTaQ

Very excellent map and puzzles! Thumbs up!

you made me feel proud of myself completing the last one :D

PS: make more these are awsome.

New mechanisms added to the portal.
Awesome chamber, I recommend.
It was very pleasant to play and learned new things.
Stagger Lee 10 Jul, 2019 @ 11:28am
Well done.
I played 8 maps I just downloaded from the front page of the current most popular maps.
Yours is the only good one of the lot and it was REALLY good. It made up for the time lost playing the other ones.... mostly....
Ark 10 Jul, 2019 @ 5:23am
I enjoyed this map.Maybe you should show what is or gate in the first part.
lilchuni 10 Jul, 2019 @ 4:21am
best level ever played
Tekkuseyu 10 Jul, 2019 @ 12:36am
I could feel getting a few more iqs after solving the last one.
Bunny 9 Jul, 2019 @ 5:06pm
Thank you ! Now I see it, however I would have never thought about respawning the blue cube in that situation. Guess I'm not fitted for that level of "Apertureness"... Good luck for your future tests !:p2cube:
Stoic⁧⁧Sirius  [author] 9 Jul, 2019 @ 3:15pm
I've attached a youtube walkthrough. You can go ahead and watch it, if you want.
Bunny 9 Jul, 2019 @ 1:41pm
Very nice design (especially all of the surroundings outside of the chamber) but, seriously ?! How can you call that "medium difficulty"? That last part was excruciatingly frustrating to solve (and I've been unable to) !
Cakeface 9 Jul, 2019 @ 11:40am
Others have commented on the technical details on how you achieved this awesome map. Apart from that, all I know it was totally fun and rewarding to play.
Deadpoke49 8 Jul, 2019 @ 8:12pm
one of the most hardest test I've ever played, but still one really good.
quatrus 8 Jul, 2019 @ 8:27am
nice chamber set and well thought out cube shuffle. Thanks for creating.
Stoic⁧⁧Sirius  [author] 8 Jul, 2019 @ 4:45am
Use three func_movelinear brushes (all nodraw.) Make one lower a bit, and a second one move to the side. Parent the black panel to the second movelinear and parent that movelinear to the first movelinear. Have a third movelinear bring the white panel up
Reika 7 Jul, 2019 @ 5:35pm
Also, I would like to ask: Would I be able to get a VMF or something of the "swap panel" on the second level of the final test? The one where the black floor retracts, then swaps with white, then extends again? I would very much like a test element like that.
Reika 7 Jul, 2019 @ 5:34pm
I quite enjoyed this. It started off looking kind of crappy and lackluster, akin to "My First Hammer Map", but by the final chamber I was quite satisfied and reasonably impressed.
Nobody No-One 7 Jul, 2019 @ 4:51pm
I thought it was a Hammer export as well. I think the weird antline paths have something to do with it. Anyway I enjoyed the puzzle and the Hammer work was pretty good (though the lighting was a bit bland in parts). Thumbs up.
Stoic⁧⁧Sirius  [author] 7 Jul, 2019 @ 11:13am
Of course. Hammer exports are pure evil
totes amaze balls 7 Jul, 2019 @ 8:59am
Oh wow really??!!! My apologies then! I just must be out of practice or something. My bad for degrading your efforts, I'm even more impressed!
Stoic⁧⁧Sirius  [author] 7 Jul, 2019 @ 8:36am
Ah, oh. I actually made it from scratch in Hammer, but I guess it does look like it was initially made in the puzzlemaker.

Thank you for the reviews :)
totes amaze balls 7 Jul, 2019 @ 5:47am
Agreeing with corrupt, I indeed haven't played anything this well thought out and made in a long time. The puzzles were well put together and genuinely used all the fizzlers' unique properties to a perfect degree, offering satisfyingly challenging puzzles. Well done. It has also been a long time since I've seen a hammer export map, and even longer since I've seen one look this good. You really used hammer well to make the design pleasing and interesting, and mega props to you for using custom vactubes with stuff flying through, it all looked amazing.

Overall well done, restoring the hope for the workshop :)
