Report a translation problem
So, step-by-step:
1) Create a gradient [imgur.com]. Pretty straightforward!
2) Play around with Bevel and Emboss options in layer styles. These are the settings I came up with [imgur.com].
2.a) Of special importance is the Gloss Countour curve for emulating a metallic look. These are my settings [imgur.com].
3) Add Countours to double down on the chisel-like look. My settings [imgur.com].
4) Voilà [imgur.com]!
I have no idea how that translates to Gimp (or whichever program you're using in Linux), if at all. But in the slim chance that this can be of help, there you have it!
It's a shame you cannot use higher resolutions than the game offers. The current ones are ok but not the best for high resolution displays.
I'm making my own flags mod and I'm trying to make the flags look as close to vanilla as possible.
