Something changed, I'm now unable to get my editor to launch.

When changing scenes, make sure that the new scene actually loads, double clicking on the scene name should force it to load.

If you are feeling brave, just go through all of the Seamstress Union scenes, and add the matching _alt list to Eric's inventory. (Merchant_outfit_low, add Merchant_outfit_low_alt, etc.)

i altered Eric and added the add'l equipment and then skimmed through a few of the seamstress scenes and saw him in a few and he was already altered but I couldn't figure out which scene I am on/in.
My saved game is Loose Ends. I am about to go to Sam's funeral. I checked the discussions and just plain Google but had no success.
Again, sorry for the back and forth and my inability to get this right! >.<

Thank you!

In the scene mentioned below, if you click on Cherry and open her "prop interaction hammer symbol" menu, you'll see that her convo ID is "Cherrybomb" or something, which is dialogue.

If you do the same with Eric, you'll see that his convo ID is "outfit_store". That might explain why she wouldn't sell you anything, that might also answer your question as to how to get any NPC to sell merchandise. But again, I don't recommend trying to do that.

Looks as though the initial Seamstress Union scene is "c04-s1 seamstress". Eric is at the front bar with Cherry...

To help determine which part of the story a scene is associated with, you can - with a scene open in the editor - click on "edit scene properties", and select the "info" tab. The setting for the scene will be written there, but it may ruin/spoil the story for you. I don't recommend it.

xW,

When you open the Seamstress Union scenes, use your mouse scroll wheel to "zoom out". Then zoom in to the upper-right map section, there, behind what looks like a bar, should be a green "actor spawner" labeled Eric Mersmann, he is the clothes vendor. You should be able to open his character menu as instructed, and select the "equipment" tab to reveal which level of equipment he is selling in that "scene".

You can then "add" the matching level alternate outfit list, to his inventory. This way he should have both the standard and alternate outfit lists.

You may not be able to access the vendors, the first time that you visit the Union. But once you succeed with the editing process, you can return to the editor and edit Eric in the remaining Union scenes.

I got it! Sort of. I can save the equipment to the npc/actor (Cherry again) but she does not interact with me. Granted i may be accessing the wrong scene. The list in the editor doesn't correlate with the name of the saved game file.

Any ideas?

You're not dumb! You gave me enough information to make an educated guess where the mistake was made.

I can't remember how to add more than one item to an item drop. (Try asking, or searching, in the workshop discussions forum.)

I ran through the process of adding to a vendor, and it seems to still "work". At which point are getting stuck?

I am so so dumb!!
I apologise for wasting your time.
I was looking at 'outfits' and did not even see the'player outfits'. Thank you so very much, i really appreciate it!!

Oh! Before i forget, how would I put more than one item/outfit in a single prop? Or is that not allowed? I am still trying to figure out how to create a vendor with them all or alter a current actor/npc.

Thank you again!!

xW,
My instructions, although not as precise as i had remembered, still "work" for me. When you get to the "select an item" menu, are you looking in the "outfits", or "player outfits" list?

I realise no one has posted on here in some time but i was hoping to get some help getting this mod to work. I can get it to show up in the content of SRReturns and do the checkbox in the SR editor but am having trouble getting the outfits to show up on the list of outfits when i try to change a prop to an item pick up and put any in there. Also unsure how to change an npc/actor to a vendor with them?
Sorry for being dumb, thanks for any help!

Hoi mater_tenebrarum,I am using the Save Editor by DigitalPigeon to select different outfits for my "runners". I have been able to use save editor to select all "vanilla" outfits expect "starter" versions...However I cannot select for runners these "ALT" versions. Is the PREFAB NAME unique for your alt outfits ie.Vanilla PREFAB "SamuraiPunk" = "SamuraiPunkalt" Thanks for your time and effort in bringing whiz duds to SRR.

cool thanks for the tips, i will give it a try

Maybe you can "duplicate" one of my files mentioned above in the editor, and just change the names, stats, and equipment.
The way that they limited the modding of this game by not letting anyone tweak another's file.....Imagine if Fallout 3 or Skyrim had been like that.
I forgot to mention that I don't have Dragonfall yet.

http://shadowrun-returns.wikispaces.com/Character+Model+Options
If it is one the models in the Ganger section in the link above, then the model is considered a "prefab".Playing as a prefab model is possible, but the outfit and creature inside of it can not be severed. This saves the Devs a lot of work in that not every single outfit has to have the ability to scale to the various player race sizes.
If you'd like to make a character for importing to UGC's that uses your favorite prefab model, get my McKluksy or Armitage file and inspect it in the editor.Somewhere in there is an option such as "use default character" you would then select the preferred prefab for the default model.http://shadowrun-returns.wikispaces.com/Custom+NPCs

yes i saw those outfits, but i mean the halloweener outfits that the first gang in DMS has. the one with the elven woman that looks like samurai armour :P
R.I.P  [author] 4 May, 2014 @ 3:08pm
@Bastion you are aware that the ganger outfits are included in this file, correct? (see fourth from last screenshot)
Bastion 4 May, 2014 @ 2:04pm
could you do a new version of this with the new dragonfall outfits like the knights errants outfits, and also the gang outfits from dead mans switch, (espically the elven female ganger outfit?)

I haven't messed with this game in months so i don't know what the new editor features are, but I doubt it.
All that i did with this file was, sort of duplicate the player outfits and edit them to refer to the non-player outfits using a text editor and file converter.(see below)
I've yet to see an actual model or texture file opened up.
ZippyTheWonderMoonrat 12 Dec, 2013 @ 2:44pm
Hey mater...wondering, from your investigations have you seen any way to alter the color of character models, with a hex editor or other bytes editor? I think you can only modify the colors of player outfits, is that correct? Thanks for this UGC. Really liking having the alternate costumes in Kill-City.
Mr. Miazma 29 Sep, 2013 @ 12:07pm
I play the Shadowrun Unlimited UGC and would like to use this within it (or other UGCs on here). Is this doable? I am an utter noob for the record.

I deliberately avoided stepping on the toes of 4 Tiers of Armored Clothing,I use it aswell.

How about attempting the Suggested installation? you could then use the "dirty hack" tool
notepad ++ program to tweak the files exactly how you like.

The dirty hack converts dragged and dropped .bytes files into .xml files and back again, it generates the new file wherever the original was dragged from.It overwrites without warning make back-ups.
Use notepad++ to edit .xml files, with this program "close" the file don't "delete the file or it's gone.

Good Luck

These are looking great. Took me a bit to get them running but now things are working great! Any chance these will get made into "tiered" armor like the other pack on here did? So much better to be able to chooe the outfit I want and not worry about the stats... Other than that these look great and I'd love to seem them added into Firesnakeries' "training and test room", or tamerlanemohammond's "modified" Dead Man's Switch.
