No its a separate mesh in the gun however I have noticed that the bolt does have weird behavior from time to time but that's due to how MA's modding system works.

Pretty cool but I'd tweak damage values a little bit. The gun feels kinda underpowered. It takes at least 2-3 shots to kill an enemy and he doesn't even flinch from the first hit.
