City Hall Plaza

Yes, drawing a road across it works. You just need to work out where it goes to get the City Hall in just the right place. I always use TMPE to remove cars, buses, and trucks from it. Just keep the garbage and emergency services.

A couple of things I like to do...

Place an invisible police station (CV invisible police station, or propermike's "Emergency call box (police)" ) in front of the entrance and specify it to use only the Government Motorcade from the workshop. Your Mayor gets to ride in style.

Allow taxis on the hidden road and then use the invisible taxi stand from the workshop and specify it to use one of the limo taxis (using the appropriate mod), also found on the workshop, so that your councillors get cool rides direct from the front entrance.

Hi King Leno, firstly, thanks for all your fantastic assets, I use them all the time. Can you please excuse my slow wits but for the life of me I can't work out how to place the City Hall on this plaza. I note that you told others to use Parkify, so I have installed it and I have Park Life DLC but now what? Do I convert the City Hall or something? Do I need an invisible path? Need some help, man!

@mr.v yeah that's how the game works. the only to place a park building on a pedestrian path is if you have parklife DLC and use the parkify mod. otherwise you can use procedural objects, but that's kind of an advanced mod to use

When I build city hall, it is not possible to build in the center. So, I build near the road and use move it to move to center but it says that need road access.

@thomas.avenel yes, to place (park) buildings along a pedestrian paths you need parklife

So, when I plop a building in the middle via the Move it mod, I get the no roads connected symbol. Am I right in thinking only park life can solve this ?

@dragonshardz not really, it's just a plaza. not a tutorial on ways to use all possible mods lol
dragonshardz 10 Oct, 2019 @ 1:45pm
It might be a good idea to note that in the description, then. :)
KingLeno  [author] 10 Oct, 2019 @ 11:20am
@dragonshardz you have to use the parkify mod

Doesn't seem like I can actually place the City Hall asset on the path built into this plaza, even with it inside a park area.

@fwdixonii Ctrl + A with fine road anarchy

Dumb question, but how do I get the city hall building to not conflict with the plaza? i have Park Life installed, have a park area created, place the plaza on a road, but when I try to place the city hall building on the walk path (it snaps to it fine), I get "space already occupied".
ruadhbran 11 Jul, 2019 @ 5:53pm
@KingLeno Got it, thanks. I don't have Park Life, but I suppose I could use the Move It mod.
KingLeno  [author] 11 Jul, 2019 @ 8:25am
@ruadhbran no, you can't just plop anything there without using mods. If you have Park Life, a building can be placed on the pedestrian path that's in front of the spot. But there's several different ways to get a building there depending on what mods you use.

Hey, I found that this asset doesn't allow the city hall building to be plopped in its spot, because there's no zoning. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I missing something?
