Can you add the quick fix to fix unit fatigue with this mod? Currently infantry units aren't affected by fatigue at all except for morale. You can fix this by looking in the tables. In the table fatigue_effects_tables, you can see a column unit_category. If you take a look into units_tables, you will find the column category, which put the unit into a specific category obviously. All cavalry have the category cavalry, but if you look at infantry, no one has a category just 'infantry'. It's either infantry_melee or infantry_ranged, and neither of those are listed in the fatigue_effects_tables. So if you want to fix that, add those two infantry categories to the fatigue_effects_tables and it should work properly. I have no idea how devs could miss this, it completely brakes the game actually.

i see that you are going to make an updated patch mod! I'm really keen for that. One thing that I really hope you'll look at is AI pathing behaviour if that's possible. I've found that specifically with the citadel level castles big enemy armies assaulting it will just get stuck and stop moving once they make it to the first level. It's really strange, as even when they rout they just stay still in place. Could that be something you look at and hopefully fix for the updated version? It makes me not want to upgrade to that castle tier as it breaks siege battles :(

One little oddity I have noticed since using this, is that the Matchlock Kachi sound affects are identical to the musket armed units, despite 1.5 stating otherwise.
Could that just have been something which managed to sneak it's way into later versions?

@SkilledEthan I already said that. The game wasn't designed for the AI to have to deal with it, so it breaks game balance.

By the way, this mod also makes Takeda and Mori unable to recruit Great Guard/Nihon Maru in the campaign. Not sure how to fix that. Without the mod, they can at least recruit the basic version of those units, while with the mod they can't even do that. Takeda Great Guard and Mori Nihon Maru work fine only in custom battles.

@Tyler I agree. I will return to the patch in the summer and make some changes to keep it up to par. Will also be creating two new versions, in addition to this one, of which one will contain more hard bugfixes, and the other contain changes to the vanilla game that fix otherwise unaddressed issues. This patch will remain as the all in one pack for them both, but I think options should be provided so that players who may not necessarily think "no all rank fire" or "lack of spear square" were unintended additions to the game, have the option to choose a more light approach.

There were also some fixes I intended to add before but didn't as my original attitude with this mod was more as a mod compilation and less as a patch, but my mindset has changed a little on that front and I will be adding some more comprehensive fixes of my own to address as much as I am able to.

This mod somehow adds a super annoying fanfare sound to battles that that totally ruins the game experience - at least for me.

@The Galactic DUP 1.The Kisho fix in this mod is not the intended "buff" no ninja should have the 11 ammo the mod did the reverse "fix", there is a proper ninja fix elsewhere in the workshop.

2.The trade ships not being in custom battle isnt a bug, its intended.
3. The pixel thing...sure but its the most minor fix in the world
4.the arrow sound bug fix isn't always needed, depends on other mods used
5. "theoretical spear square" bug is just that...theoretical..not an intended feature.
6.lantern fix, sure thats a good one. but again so minor
7. voice lines, from my limited research its maybe not so much a bug as some have chimed in that the language has changed somewhat 500 years and things may not mean quite the same thing.
8. occupation resistance for AI. Again thats not a bug fix...the game and ai was designed with this in mind. So it fucks with the balance of the game and causes the ai to be too passive

Hi! Whilst playing Fall of the Samurai I have encountered a very specific issue. It seems that this mod makes it so that the cannon sound effects when firing completely disappear in FotS naval battles (i.e: cannons are completely mute in FotS naval battles). Could you please fix this?

Cao Cao said it and i have the same problems as him. There must be some kind of bug whereupon the game bugs out when you get to be Shogun. Because before being a Shogun, the unit card is available, but not recruitable.

This mod is not compatible with mods that unnerf nanban trade ships, they used to sink ships, after otomo dlc and patch they no longer do that, tried several mods to revert the change, but they only work if I disable this one first. Also, the monted archer hero is bugged, arrows sound like cannons.

Hey Love the fantastic work you've done.
But when playing a Takeda Campaign and becoming Shogun the Takeda Great Guard nor their regular counterpart are recruit-able.

It seems CA removed the Takeda specific Great Guard and the Mori Nihon Maru from the Encyclopedia. So i'm guessing their absence is intentional.
I have seen you replied to a previous post mentioning the Takeda Great Guard before.
I have tried to address the lack of Great Guard for Takeda with my limited modding experience using the pack file manager but haven't been successful.

The Mori's Nihon Maru is recruit-able with no issues, but the Great Guard for Takeda remain illusive. Any idea what might be the problem? If you haven't the time to address the issue, its fine.
If you do find the time, making the regular Great Guard recruit-able would be enough for me. thx.
