In HL2 they're on the vort with the broom at the beginning and also the dead one in a chair in Nova Prospekt. They probably show up in other parts too, but those are the only two I can remember.

The default shackles they have in Black Mesa use the same model as the combine shackles in HL2.

Works great aside from the lack of glowing on mind-controlled Vorts in Interloper. Will you add that functionality at some point?

Yeah I just found out yesterday that I had been using the wrong version of the game. I got it working now, but thanks anyway. I'll update it later today.

It was an error in the qc file under $sequence "dodge_left" and "dodge_right" in the line where it says activity it should say "ACT_VORT_DODGE_LEFT" 1, also i noticed 2 missing lines that may be important but i added it just incase. heres the model with the new qc compiled with it https://www.dropbox.com/sh/anzc756iq10pj53/AABz2yoFFqcG8hTJp_758URXa?dl=0

For what it's worth, I did manage to snag these two errors in the console:

CBaseAnimatingOverlay::AddGesture: model models/vortigaunt_slave.mdl missing activity ACT_VORT_DODGE_LEFT_GESTURE
CBaseAnimatingOverlay::AddGesture: model models/vortigaunt_slave.mdl missing activity ACT_VORT_DODGE_RIGHT_GESTURE

I'm sure I've seen them dodge before though, so I'm not sure what's going on there.

Well, it doesn't seem to be happening for me, so I don't think I can do anything about it now, but if I ever figure out what's causing it I'll try to fix it.

Seems to be just anywhere. It looks like some of the dodge animations still don't work properly, but I'm not 100% sure.

I've given it a shot in-game, and unfortunately, they're still T-posing a lot. They do use some of their dodging animations properly, though.

It should be fixed now. I haven't actually seen them dodge in-game, but the animations are there so they should work.

Yeah, they t-pose instead of dodge. This needs to be updated again but it will be the final time. So that's a relief. Just once more, our champion modder!

Just a heads up Brain, the new update added new dodge animations for the vorts, they may not be included in this model.

Also I know this is kind of late to respond about how dark they are, but I'm pretty happy with how they look now, as long as the reflections are visible. Sometimes there isn't much to reflect though, and that might make them look darker than normal.

You shouldn't have to use the custom folder for this to work. Not sure why they would turn invisible though.

Do you think you'll ever do remodels of some of the weapons, specifically the hivehand and snarks? The vanilla models are still yet to be changed from the 2012 versions, and they suck IMO. Plus, no-one has done a remodel of them yet.

This version is for anyone who wants to use the HL1 shackles on the default vort model.
