No the mod wasn't designed for any map extension mods
hi,unrelated question perhaps but are you using a map extension mod? if so what mod?

Disabling the storm in structures is problematic to do in a way that doesn't impact (CPU) performance, especially when most buildings are dynamic, the code uses the shelter component in the same way as the sandstorm.

If your within the storms boundary you will receive a temperature change, if your inside your base it may be negated by heat sources, furnaces, stoves, campfires, food etc or high heat protection armours.

I would gladly use it if the entire storm didn't go through the structures, it's not very immersive to be sleeping or doing anything with the storm in your face and without cold, it doesn't make sense

once the sandstorm spawn npcs/ after the sandstorm goes away does the npcs stay behind or do they fanish

That's a shame tbh. I am actually putting together a server for a streamed playthrough (it will be on MrPorkchop_14 on YT, plus community members) featuring a modded Exiled Lands with both the Sandstorm and Snowstorm. I added Sandbeasts and Lloigor to the spawn list for the sandstorm and its great under testing, and that led me to thinking about spawns in the snowstorm. As for Conan being done, it's mods like yours that breathe new life into an excellent base game, I only started playing Conan 18 months ago, and it is our community's favourite game which we always inevitably return to, and it's still very popular for streaming. It'll be a month or so before the server is populated but I am hoping it'll blow the players socks off and make for good viewing.

I did at one point, I even started work on a plugin for it but I never finished it, conan has kind of seen it's day now I'm afraid.

I'm loving the extra atmosphere this adds to the world, do you have any plans to add spawning creatures like yetis, similar to the Sandstorm mod?

Download ModControlPanel (its set as a required mod), and open the settings that way. Must have Admin enabled to see the settings.

Hi ! I love this function ^^ but i'm not sadistic towards my puppet...
How can players protect themselves from this snow storm ? Any mask or something else to wear ?

Currently it only runs at random intervals, however there is an option to force the snowstorm to start whenever you want though =)

Watching snow-storms roll in from un-expected directions has been amazing. I've always found the Sandstorm one of the most visually impressive of the game's systems and this really puts more life in it. Having the sand storm roll up from an unexpected direction and overtake me when I'm totally unprepared has put the survival back in the game a few times. I'm trying to learn the UE4 modding system and I'd love to some day be able to create a monsoon condition for the jungle or an ash system for the volcano, inspired by what you've done with sandstorms and snowstorms. Much thanks for this awesome mod!

It is possible, I actually started developing a plug in for the mod to test the Snowstorm API but I never got around to finishing it, I might release it at some point but there is no guarantee I will actually get around to it as I'm quite busy with other mods atm.

Correct, the mod will work but it will use the routes that are setup for Exiled Lands map.

SnowstormEx does have an API that can be used to change the routes to better support different maps, I released an example mod of how to use the API in the "experimental-modding" section of our discord if anyone wants to have a go at configuring the routes.

I loved this one on Exiled Lands and realy love to play with this Mod since it gives the north so much emersion. Great mod, thanks for updating.
But is it compatible with Savage Wilds? So far i've seen it has the standard routes of Exiled Lands on Savage Wilds, too. Is that right?

Thank you for the update Hades! It looks amazing now! Now that little bit of wind and fog we get on the desert near the border wall with highlands looks just like a normal strong wind and dust and does not break immersion for players who live there! Great job and great mod, northern part of the map can't exist without SnowstormEx anymore :steamthumbsup:

I have actually been thinking about removing those myself, I want to do a little testing with the cloud/fog materials to try and remove the sharp edges when a flog plane collide with surfaces, not sure when I'll push an update though as I will need to test the effects for FPS.

Hi Hades, I don't want to PM you via Discord hence I will write here. Would you consider removing that "flying snowflakes" animation or make it optional via toggle. The reason for this is that people get these snowflakes south in the desert regions too (and complain, as this makes this amazing mod look somewhat broken). If these were to work as a warning then you can clearly hear the wind change long before snowstorm. The reason I am asking for this is that I try to create combination of hard survival + RP environment, and make the snowstorm move really slow so "today we don't go to the mountains as the weather is very bad up there" effect. But having these snowflakes flying on half of the map for extended amount of time can be annoying. It's an amazing mod, a must have for me, but would you consider making a toggle option for the snowflakes or removing them?

The date a mod was last update doesn't effect whether a mod works or not, it depends on whether any files/functions a mod uses were changed when the game was updated.

I don't update my mods simply to change the update date.

yeah I've already noticed, but it's not really worth pushing an update to change as it takes servers offline while they update etc so I decided to leave it for now =)
