Vac did need a payed key after a month or so, but I think the dev has not continued selling it. You can get the client with the VAC link in the other comment I made. You do not need a dropbox client, just click the download icon in the top right area to download. The file is packed via .rar

( Always remember to scan files you download. I know it is clean, but scanning files should be a default habit regardless of trust.)

Iam really confused, I lost everything a few weeks ago and now have a new computer therefore reloading everything, I have re-subscribed to VAC and it appears I have to pay for it? is this right I may had to pay when I down loaded a few years back but I didnt think so? when i downloaded last time it appeared to be a lot easier and when I go to the dwvac site it says download domain for over 8 grand? but no where to download VAC, this cant be right?, please direct in the right direction

( There is a limit on Win 8 now, but using compatibility install it might still work. Note that the win 8 limits are not real limits. Just artificial to get people to upgrade OS )

@Blazer_135 The voice program and profile is not mission based. This is just a mission made to easier test the voice activation profile. You can use the program and voice profile in any Arma mission with Ai units, even online, which it originally was made for. Aside from having ai a player can command in your mission. There are no further Arma mission requirements to use this.

Rar is a well known file format for packing a bunch of files into smaller storage space. You need to unpack them to use the files and you can do so via programs like WinRar, which can be found on their homepage and can be used for free as long as you dont use it in work related aspects. There are readme text files within the unpacked files that can provide you with further information aside from what is written above. Good luck, have fun.

The subscription here is just for the ingame training mission. You need to seperatly download the VAC voice software (which has a free trail, unless that has changed) and the Arma3 voice profile I have made, which is free, via the links above in the text.

Once you have everything you can use voice commands in the training mission to test everything out before you use it in any mission you command ai in Arma 3. Be it offline or online.

@greenjoyce3001 Less time for gaming, tend to opt for easier accessed games. Played A3 to death and in Multiplayer Context, aside from events like Rolling Thunder (A3, TankSim events, recommended) or similar, I find Squad to be easier to find a decent match in. Hopefully Arma 4 will raise the bar on both MP and Ai without destroying their command system. When I do play A3 in single player though I still use VAC. It still lifts the experience to a higher level. Thanks for your comment. :)

@JojoTheSlayer If you're not playing Arma 3, what are you doing? Found a better milsim? Some of us only discovered this game in 2020.

@Overlander. The profile and A3 mission I have made is free, but the VAC software the profile uses has a 14 day trailer before it costs $18US, I think. You can use it to make your own profiles in other games, but that is a bit besides the point of this Workshop page. While I dont play Arma 3 that much anymore the profile is still fully functional with the game, if used correctly of course...

@fabcomo The training mission is a Arma 3 mission meant to make it easier to use and learn the voice command profile for VAC. You can play the arma mission without anything else and might enjoy it stand alone, but its intent is to be an aid to those that want to command and controll their Ai via voice commands and therefor also use my VAC profile and the VAC software. :)

i hit the subscribe button and then went back to the arma mods section and it didnt even say it was downloading then i restarted my computer and nothing even happend any help is welcome

I am not sure what you are asking, but if you are trying to communicate that you would want some other setup on some key. I would recommend you to use VACbuilder, where you import the profiles, and just make a key that does what you want inside the profile you imported. That way you will have what I provide and your custom stuff as well. Good Luck :)

@5PoL You probably have Apex settings or something so that there is a binding conflict. VAC needs the following keys. Space, 1-0 (over wasd), F1-F12 and Enter. If any of the 1-0 keys for example also function as "select main weapon" or whatever. The profile wont work because of the conflict. So space needs to work in a "select all" / "force command" (recommended) action, 1-0 must work in regards to the menu option box after troop selection, F1-F12 must work in regards to actual troop selection and enter must work as the "execute orders" at the end of a command. For example "Two move now" = F2, Enter in keypress. IF that is not the problem, you might have some mic issues. Check in VACbuilder "test phrase" to see if the correct commands are triggered when you say them. Check also in a notepad that the correct output is preformed. Lastly, there are more tips at the bottom of the Voice profile .txt readme files in the packed profile. Good Luck and let me know if you got it sorted. :)

i'm having serious difficulty with this mod, when i say all return to formation it just changes my fire mode. i'm getting all kinds of glitches... and I also changed my binds to what the documents me told me. any ideas?

@Shisagi As long as no keybindings conflict. VAC and this voice profile will work with any Mod. You need to have VAC running with Admin rights though. Try checking out the readme or this comment tree for more tips. Most issues have been responded to before.

@GoodeIgin (Read the response below first) VAC needs to have access to (for most commands), space, F1-12 and 0-9. wwAI mod included in VAC profile (optional) needs to have acccess to numpad 9. As long as none of these keys conflict with another mod. You can use it with any mod in A3.

@GoodeIgin Thanks :) You can use VAC with any mod as long as they dont conflict on the controls. While this VAC profile doesnt support C2 directly and its a bit complicated to get VAC to support C2 because of all the hold ctrl and alt etc type to use function. You can still use both mods at the same time to supplement each other. Like for example you hold ctrl and alt and say "one" to alos press F1 and thereby select a fire team for the C2 system. Btw... the VAC profile contains a mod called wwAI which has a -plan and go- system. Where you can for example say "Five waypoint" (click several points on map), "Six waypoint" (clicks), "Go go go". And both units will execute the plan like older Rainbow6 games. (Check VACbuilder via catagory filer on the wwAI to see more commands). You could try running al 3 mods to get the best features from all. Good Luck.

@Nebula You need to rebind a few keys. In the unpacked profile there are instructions on how and what keys to replace. There are images as well to aid you. Not sure if the Apex update have changed some of it, but I dont think so. Then you also have the info on the text above under "24.12 2015 v3.05 and up:" (text under it) that talks about the same. When I say, "All" The game brings up the menu as if I am hitting space, and it will not select all units. It seems that the game is replacing the squad factor and moving it to the keybind for space. Can anyone help me with this issue? Its really annoying.

Yes it may be but, core can be same but UI should be much better imo.

@AeRoTR Thanks, but its actually ironic that its because they still use 90s interface that enables this type of voice commands to still work. You wont see this being practical in for example a BF style communication menu. :)

ARMA 3 own shitty command interface, same ui since operation flashpoint, year 2000s. Great job creating this mod, you are awesome.

(Using the mod is of course optional and Single Player only at this point in time and it needs CBA_A3)

This mod however enables the player to use orders like "Retreat", "AutoDanger OFF", "Fire on my lead" (shoot to trigger "open fire" etc), "Clear building" and "Return to NORMAL" among other commands. Yes, the commands actually do what it sound like they would do. These, while not perfect yet because I could only get it to work with the whole squad rather than just selected ones, is a game changer in regards to commanding Ai as a player in Arma 3 and I think you will see similar in loads of other Arma 3 settings regarding Ai.

The Mod included in v3.10 is a modified version of WindWalker wwAi 2.15 mod called v2.15_Jojo1. You will not find that version on Armaholic etc because I have not gotten in contact with WindWalker and can therefor not publish it in that manner as a update to hes vanilla v2.15.

@warymadness I use ACE3/CBA with VAC without issues. Of course you need to rebind the 0-9 keys, but you already mentioned that. You also need to make sure you have spacebar configured correctedly, as text above instructs. Lastly, make sure you are using v3.09 because BIS changed a few things that are updated in that one and you have new keybindings images you can take a look at and see if you did it correctly. If you want to change spacebar you can read the Q/A post in detail for help. Good Luck :)

oh and yes, the profiles people can download are aimed at working on any keyboardlayout in the world. So there are allot of keys that are "off limits" because they do not produce the same output.

For single player voice commands, I am going to support something big in v3.10. Stay tuned!

@SaltyMedic: I think ACE3's POV is that they specifically cater for MP where unit orders are less important. Therefore the feel it's appropriate to hijack 0-9. You can still get the same commands (without modification) by using SHIFT-[0-9]. Therefore, and I haven't tried it yet, is to modify the profile by adding the L-SHIFT extended key 1. Should be eeasy enough using a global search and replace. I've created an ACE profile (from INT) and will test soon.

Also, for some reason, VAC just doesn't work for me it CBA/ACE; not sure why - hence my discovering this thread.

@JojoTheSlayer: I too would like to revert back to the OOTB key bindings and am struggling to understand the logic of removing SPACE and using H (which is the last help key). I'm assuming the INT profile has to appease a lot of keyboard layouts.

@SaltyMedic You will then need to reconfigure ACE to not use those keys... Not sure how ACE does it now, but there should be a Configure addons in the ingame controls menu or there probably or maybe are editable config files in the Arma 3 directory C:\...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Arma 3\userconfig

Does anyone know how to make this work while using the ACE mod? ACE ties up the number 0-9 which voice uses for telling the AI what to do. Thanks
