ElfBossHogg  [author] 26 Apr, 2023 @ 7:29am
Thanks, Sprisa. Please feel free to fork it out. I'd be interested to see what you've done :)
Spr 26 Apr, 2023 @ 5:13am
Hey! I saw that you haven't update this vehicle in 2 years, can I fork it as I've already added quite a few feature onto it. I probably won't publish it onto workshop but share with a few friends.

Anyways, this boat is amazing!
ElfBossHogg  [author] 29 Oct, 2021 @ 11:04am
Thanks for the comment Pick Yer Poison. :) I changed the door setup for the washroom to be the Manual version and that seemed to fix the issue. I also implemented the same change on the VERSA RUNABOUT as well.
Spider Lily 28 Oct, 2021 @ 4:42pm
Okay, I put a few hours towards figuring out why the washroom is flooding. The short answer is that it's haunted.

The long answer is that it's the electric door, somehow. Whenever that electric door is open, the boat considers the space inside to be part of the outside. If you replace it with a sliding door (or even just delete the door period!) the issue goes away. But if you use the electric door (even if you replace it with a new one), the washroom will flood to sea level. The room isn't flooded until the door is open, and if you close the door, the water can be pumped out.

I'm sorry. It's ghosts.

Hi declanz APU stands for Auxillary Power Unit. It's an engine that drives a generator to produce nothing but electricity, ie. It's not used for propulsion.
declanz 16 Oct, 2021 @ 6:49pm
What does 'APU' do?
dstokes0312 5 Jun, 2021 @ 3:57pm
I know this ship is "old", but I still use this ship very frequently because its so well balanced as a vehicle

someone reuploaded this, go report it here (might be the legacy version, not entirely sure): https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2432214893&searchtext=

Came back for a quick glimpse at new changes. Thanks for the comment Youngbloood. Fixed the Flood Spawner issue in the bathroom.
YOUNGBLOOD428 12 Feb, 2021 @ 8:27pm
found the problem with dan-wells thing, this applies for the modular engine's experimental branch, there is a fluid spawner in the bathroom that's causing the flooding. ik it's old, but i think that was the problem.
monodan 13 Jan, 2021 @ 5:10am
nice, are you able to sink it?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 24 Dec, 2020 @ 10:41am
Hi dan-wells. I just tested it and I have no issues: No flooding in either the ORCA VERSA or RA versions that are from the Workshop.
dan-wells 16 Dec, 2020 @ 2:46pm
I think an update may have created a hole in the hull.
When I spawn the Orca now the living quarters instantly floods
Woods 23 Sep, 2020 @ 1:57pm
nevermind, i did miss the monitor which allowed me to switch from single to route.
Woods 23 Sep, 2020 @ 1:56pm
I tried to chart a course by editing waypoints and placing them, but when i tried to do the actual course the "last leg" indicator was on and it passed the waypoint without actually going the intended course. i did switch waypoints when i placed one, and i made sure it was on nav c. when i started. did i miss something?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 22 Sep, 2020 @ 12:20pm
Hey Gibgib52, not a problem. Probably more spelling and grammar issues everyone. Thanks for pointing it out. Fixed it. :)
why 21 Sep, 2020 @ 7:24pm
Thanks
Gibgib52 21 Sep, 2020 @ 3:44pm
Sorry to be that one guy that points out these kind of things but in observation the elevate down button for the fire nozzle is spelled "Elevae"

The ORCA VERSA has been updated to include V1.0 features.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 21 Sep, 2020 @ 1:24am
Hoping to get to it in the near future. Have to work for a living though :)
Klaus Klavier 21 Sep, 2020 @ 1:15am
will we see a 1.0 equipment update? this is one of my fav boats on the workshop
why 17 Sep, 2020 @ 12:16pm
1.0 update?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 9:45pm
There are also pump controls just below the door panel monitor. You don't need to go to the control deck.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 30 Aug, 2020 @ 9:43pm
Right at the top of the description: 5468. It's also the number painted on the boat. 😊
Breakdown 29 Aug, 2020 @ 10:16pm
What are the door over-ride codes? I accidentally flooded the crew area nd im stuck in the engine room so i cant turn on the pumps
ElfBossHogg  [author] 4 Jun, 2020 @ 9:39am
There's a button at the SENSOR STATION (front middle below the large 3x5 monitor) that extends/retracts the sensor post. By default it gets set to extend on start. Just click the button to bring it back in to store. Unless something has changed with the game that's how it should work.

Hey Elfboss, how do i bring the camera on the piston back down? The one on the top. It just starts to rise when i start moving.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 16 Mar, 2020 @ 1:24pm
Thanks, Mori. Much appreciated. :)
Not Allergic To Nuts 16 Mar, 2020 @ 11:02am
Thanks. I like the runabout orca, as well. They're both great for exploration. 5/5 dude!

(Second part of message due to 1000 character limitation)
Once you have the WPs all in the system set the NAV.AP mode to ROUTE and click the ENGAGE button. It will start navigating to the WP Number identified in the NAV.AP WP Number screen. Once it reaches that WP it will automatically cycle the number up to the next one. Once the system reaches the last WP it has identified as entered in the system the AP will shut down... but it won't shut down the throttle and you will continue at speed.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 16 Mar, 2020 @ 7:06am
Hey Mori,

Use the WP Editor (uses the 2x2 screens to your left) to create WPs in a sequence...

On the first screen click on the NAV Tab and if the box show CURR click on it to change it to EDIT. You should see that the WP Number has up and down arrows around it. Use those to move to the WP you want to work with. To enter the WP you can do it one of two ways: manually enter it using the in game map, the keyboard and then click the "SUBMIT MANUAL WP" button or using the map on the second screen move the cross hairs to where you want the WP and click the T button on the screen. How do you use the route autopilot system?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 17 Jan, 2020 @ 8:10am
Hi, Kri. I implemented a fix or the APU. I lowered the requested RPS for the APU Engine. It had the APU running for a while and it was hitting temp maximums of 75-80'C.
ElfBossHogg  [author] 16 Jan, 2020 @ 3:38am
Thanks for the comment, Kri. It shouldn't be doing that as I had experimented with the throttle control to prevent that. Never had it happen after a number of tests. I wonder if something changed in the engine numbers. I'll need to take another look again.
Kri 16 Jan, 2020 @ 3:15am
Heh I left APU on (with engines off) and after few minutes it blew up :)
Pretender6 1 Dec, 2019 @ 7:54am
Thx
ElfBossHogg  [author] 30 Nov, 2019 @ 5:24pm
Hi Pretender6, it's not a bug and more of an annoyance. Because the ladder rungs are only on one side of the entry they don't qualify as being clear of the top even though your body appears to be. What you do is when you are at the top of the ladder press the jump button at the same time in order to clear that last bit.
Pretender6 30 Nov, 2019 @ 10:14am
I keep dropping down the ladder when exiting the airlock, is this a bug?

How Do You Make The Locks Turn On?
ElfBossHogg  [author] 28 Oct, 2019 @ 6:36pm
Thanks for the comments, Terminator. In regards to the winch feel free to adjust the winch speed to whatever you want. In the build screen just select the winch and up the speed in the properties.
Incursion 25 Oct, 2019 @ 11:38am
Awesome vehicle really intuitive. My only complaint was trying to bring up and anchor for a mission but the cranes wench was too slow.
TACOSAUCE 7 Sep, 2019 @ 10:16am
I can't wait! Also the scarab v1's idea of having that floatable snorkle buoy might actually be possible now, given that they added fluids to every winch connector and with the 500m winch
ElfBossHogg  [author] 6 Sep, 2019 @ 12:46am
Thanks, cream. Much appreciated. 😊

Hey mattbbrraaap, thinking about the SCARAB Mk II and it may be doable. Going to take a bit to figure it all out and put it together but I miss having a fully manoeuvrable sub and its going to be an interesting challenge. I'm away for abit so may not be for some time. Gives me lots of thinking time.
cassette 4 Sep, 2019 @ 2:16pm
No lag, best paint scheme, every utility under the sun, perfect design, layout, etc. I wish the real Coast Guard used these things.
