Interesting maps for antique (Europe, MiddleEast), I would be glad of bit less surface in exchage of a bit more details, like a 5 hex to 4 to develop something like 7-10 cities per civilisation.
Middle east : SCYTHIA is nearer to Aral sea, MONGOLIA is in place of CHINA and CHINA is more east and south, in fact outside the map but 4662 hex can be good. Rivers are quite good (Amu Diara, Syr-Daria, Playable map indeed, not easy to cut because of historic condition. Alexandre empire fit well.

not good enough, make an earth map where every tile is the same as 1 meter... I believe the size would be around 40,075,017 x 40,075,017!!!!

It looks great but maps this huge just don't play well with AI, you can't influence the game if you are 20/30 tiles away from each other. The AI sits in their corners shitting cities, abusing the Deity advantage of extra settlers. And they hoover all the resources from there. You really need to spawn about ten tiles apart.

Completely broken, if you start on europe you will see all nations losing their capitals to someone, on my case england due to loyalty, everything there is a total clusterfk, the pass thru the mountains from spain to france is a tiny hole, which eventually get blocked by mr.trajan expanding his capital, and you cant send troops from there anymore without his permission, he will put some carriages in there to laugh at you as well.

With the dlcs you cant even take anything, cuz england will claim 3 or 4 factions instanty and take the stuff back with loyalty. You cant establish a colony either since everything on europe is so tiny and clustered there is barely enough space to move and factions are so close to eachother and their capitals close to yours its stupid.

So to start in europe you either have to be crystal fast and go straight to france without wasting a single turn and establish there, or its broken and unplayable.

When I played Europe Map the only natural disaster was forest fires.. which lead to unbalanced yields (ie 28 food 28 production) in the Pan Russian regions.

Very nice map. I think it's best balance of continent proportions, map size, resources and other stuff, accurate TSL. I'm not fan of oversized maps, and this size is optimal for me. The only feature which this map miss - choosing of city states. This feature was added to our game with December patch, and i think some updates should be done for support of this feature. Can't wait for update.

ondrejbestak i think you use too much civilizations. Try to reduce their amount. For example for me and for my friend all work fine with 12 civs

QBall yes, same for turkish straits. And also it can be nice if author will remove hill or move salt on the Egypt channel. I like to build channels and long sea trading routes.

The game crashes. I select the Moda's Huge Earth Map, size Huge, 20 players and the game crashes on startup. I'm using Civ6 with RF, GS and all DLC's and also Production Queue mod. Also - quad-core Skylake w/ 16 GB RAM.

I would suggest changing the Danish Straits so that they are passable for naval units. I realize that would mean making the shape of Denmark wrong, but cutting off the Baltic Sea is too fundamental a change.

One of my favorite map packs. One thing that could be improved though - there are no geothermal fissures on the huge Earth map!

Adding some would be great. The Europe map has them already (maybe too many actually - you can go full green there!).

@Moda: The Huge Earth map looks fun to play, but I am trying to modify the map with some additions. I have tried all different combinations of the mods but I cannot get the map to show up when trying to play. Is there any other setting I need to change to play my modified version of the map? I can only see the standard map with any combination of mods enabled.

I really like this map, the only thing I dislike are the ice caps; they should melt when the world warm and should not always be in the way.

I have one very specific issue: the Danish Belts. I understand you wanting to preserve the shape of Denmark, but the current configuration makes Sweden and Russia unplayable because naval units can't get in/out of the Baltic Sea. I tried fixing this with the map editor but the resulting map wouldn't load when I tried to play with it. Please move the top hex of Denmark one hex left so the strait is passable.

It worked fine without Rise and Fall until the Gran Columbia update. Several mods were suddenly borked like that, until they did a small patch today. Seems like the patch also undid all my settings and gave me the whole "new to GS spiel" all over again. lmao

@Soloquendi: It actually always did, and I forgot to label it as so until now; I actually built it with Rise and Fall turned on in World Builder. Unless you were able to get it working without Rise and Fall, in which case I'll change it back to saying it only needs Gathering Storm. I didn't know it was compatible this whole time!

I've updated this map pack to be compatible with the latest patch that came with the Maya + Gran Colombia DLC. I've also decided to upload a new version of this mod on the Workshop that requires the new DLC to play, that way people who haven't purchased the new DLC won't suddenly be unable to use this mod.

So, if you want to play these maps with the new civs, resources, and wonders, I encourage you to sub to my "Moda's Huge Earth Map Pack (New Frontier)" mod! Enjoy

How do I activate the map in Civ 6? I downloaded the .rar file from the provided link but cannot seem to be able to load the map into civ 6. I have the gathering storm pack. What am I missing?

Used the map for multiplayer, China's start might need some balancing with the amount of luxuries that surround the capital spawn. Also seemed to have an error with river names not generating which resulted in us being unable to place dams on any river. Not sure whether that was a one off problem or not. Nice map otherwise though :)

HELP. I love these maps, and always have done.
How do you stop the ai City States from taking the first turn? Is there a way of forcing them to wait their turn? They settle before the player can react or move. If you are near the City State at the start, they always win the land grab, city settle battle, forcing the player to go elsewhere.
In single player, or multiplayer Hotseat, there is no problem - the ai waits for your turn before it settles their own City States.
But in multiplayer: online, or local, the ai settles the City States before the players can act: each and everytime, without fail. Why in multiplayer online or local?
The reason it is an issue is if playing as England, the City State of Cardiff settles first, therefore blocking the player from settling at their own, default start location of London, making the game unfairly difficult compared to the other game modes.
