Since FE, you can add each track as a seperate file, so there is no need for editing just to get all tracks you like into one soundtrack. I'll add this to my list to do a new, more complete version of this. :)
What about my LotR one, or Touhou? 10 / ~25 mod parts with a lot of music. ;)
With the new soundtrack system introduced with FE I could do a collection by adding all those tracks seperately and therefore create my own one without the need to know how to edit sound files. :)
Just didn't thought about it until now.
This is for AoE starts with a file called xmusic1. So every soundmod uses this file. But AoE then searches for xmusic2 and so on. As long as there is a mod with Number +1, it uses this file next. If there is no further file or the next is Number +2 +, it starts with xmusic1 again.
Some soundmods uses this themselve containing xmusic1-20 for example.
Therefore subscribing to several soundmods at least will overwrite xmusic1, perhaps more of them.
To use several ones at the same time, subscribe to them. You will find a mod file for each of them in your game\mods folder. this file is a zip archive without file extension. Extract it an rename the contained soundfiles so you get the tracklist you want. Then copy all these files to you game\sound\music folder.

Sorry I didn't get it ready as fast as I wanted/thought.
Do you want the complete STs from Halo 1-3, or just a selection?
Complete could be a size problem, a selection a lot more time consuming...
There are that much great tracks from Two Steps From Hell and others, you can't upload all of them, so for now I just uploaded collections I found on youtube.
But I could start a discussion and collect the most wanted tracks and publish them...
Glad that someone has uploaded some epic music from Two Steps From Hell
Keep up the good job
