I feel like there are supposed to be two cubes.

Excellent map thank you!

Didn' need the white ground in the middle of the final area (under the cube grid). It can't be safety because you can just leave goo (acid) there...

I solved it with ent_create_portal_weighted_cube. Oh well. I can see you worked hard on this.

Added to my queue. I'll comment here after I've played it. (Check out some of mine?)

I could never have figured this out without reading these helpful hints, and then I studied the image of the map here. I found a really fast shortcut to the cube and was able to solve this map using the ingenious arrangement of the level layout. It can be solved in 2 minutes. I thought this map was impossible because at first go (without dying), I could not arrange the cube to fly while in my possession AND be on the button. Cool idea.

Yes I will try all of the maps that you suggest to me :)

@smchrz Thanks for the comment! The reason the grating is there is to stop people from being able to throw the cube into the end area. I see its not fulfilling its purpose! I will amend this in the next update! :)

Pretty cool design. Big and clean, with an overall interesting puzzle. But you might want to do something about the grating next to the second weighted button outside the force field. You can cheat the exit without doing the whole puzzle by simply standing on the button with the cube in hand from behind the grating and just throw it into the door area ;) Thanks for playing my map. Have another go at one of mine, leave your impressions (don't be shy to criticize, it helps one be more careful regarding what things should be avoided). Regards

I'll try and update this map tonight, with the issue that Skyferret found (regards to you sir!)

Thanks to everyone for their comments :)

@BierPizzaChips Theres no need to restart the whole level everytime a fling is missed. Yes if you destroy the cube you have to get another one. Apart from the time it takes to figure out what to do, getting the cube should be the most time consuming thing, so I don't see the need for AutoSaves. Mind you, I know how to solve this map, and cannot speak for someone who has yet to find the solution.
Garunas  [author] 15 Oct, 2013 @ 4:39am
@Shadow Yeah I started out with the idea of having to deliberately destroy the cube, so that another one would spawn and aid the player in some way , and built this map around that idea. It needed the width but the length could've been cut down a bit, so could the height.
Garunas  [author] 15 Oct, 2013 @ 4:38am
@raycelbelmond I named it Cucumber because I wanted an original name, so it be easy to search for, that was sort of arbitrary, and thus kind of witty. Thats why I named it so
BierPizzaChips 15 Oct, 2013 @ 4:07am
I like the idea. But i recommend to check out the BEE2MOD and place the AutoSave Trigger a few times in the map. It is less amusing to restart the level everytime a fling had been missed.

Taking into consideration what Skyferret said about the size of the map, I kind of agree with Skyferret. Overall, it is not a bad map :) Care to try mine out? (very large and filled with traps ;))

Nice job. Interesting design. Cucumber? Is it because you're a cucumber if you don't solve it? IOI I had fun. Try another one of mine, the ''Joeys''
dmuk 14 Oct, 2013 @ 4:05pm
Yes, you need an exit at the last jump in case you end up on the floor...
Garunas  [author] 14 Oct, 2013 @ 2:06pm
Thanks to everyone for your comments :)

@Skyfret ahhh I think I know what you mean actually and that was definitely something that will need to be amended. Thanks a lot for this :)
Skyferret 14 Oct, 2013 @ 11:09am
Considering how huge it is, that was pretty good. I guess the bigger it is, the farther the fling. It's kind of a "be in 2 places at once" solution. Once I realized that I needed to purposely fizzle the cube, the solution came to me. That's something I would do when building a map. I see you've got it tuned so that the cube just makes it to the last area. One thing I've noticed, is that the player can get stuck if they fall to the floor on the far side. Other than that, it was good.
