Was sooooo stuck! Very nice. Then played YUKI_67's "Destruction" collection of test as mentioned by wildgoosespeeder and after having my view of "fizzler goals" reset, the solution came fairly quickly. I'm guessing the entry room was to create a mindset as well.

Simple but clever. At first I thought: ”the entrance room is pointless and why would you want a button that turns a fizzler on?” but that is the crux of the puzzle :)

I was very very disappointed when my cube entered fizzler and didn't... reset :(
