I was going by the Skyve recommendation. It saying that the FPS display that I was using wouldn't be updated due to the dev being retired. FPS Booster by Krzychu1245 and the display Fissll. I tried this one and find it anywhere. So. I loaded the other one from J108560.
I just need a FPS display. I got a Walmart HP home W10 PC. It only has a 950 gpu (I think) with 16g of rams. If the FPS drop below 12. It lag badly. I try to keep it near 18 to 20. It never got above 24 FPS. New PC won't happen till next year.
Can't afford a PC upgrade at the moment. So would a bigger page file help in the mean time, or does it have to be physical RAM ?
Current spec: Win7, AMD A8-7600 Radeon R7 (3100 Mhz), 8GB RAM. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 (2GB RAM)
I have 8GB RAM. Virtual is set to 8116MB. Do I need to increase it ? If so, to what ?
2.1% of 16 cores of an i7
7325MB physical
17703MB virtual
3MB paged
0.59 non-paged
Allocated 8439MB
reserved 8743MB
unused 302MB
I have 16GB in the machine, an RTX3060 GB and an 11th Gen i7-11800H. Is it the reserved that's stopping the game from using it? Also this is a laptop.
I have about 40 mods and around 1400 assets. No graphical mods on it apart from FPS booster and all the gfx settings set to low (for testing) and this is the result. I don't get it.
Any help would be appreciated.

i seem to have a problem with this one though, it seems it is severely under-reporting FPS
it shows ~12 fps at most. the steam overlay reports ~35fps, which i would judge to be the correct value just by watching the animations, which are smooth.
hardware: ryzen9 5900X, RTX 3080Ti, 64GB ram (and i got the same 12fps in monitor it! with a ryzen5 3600X and a GTX1660)
Thanks for adding the option to hide the "Monitor It" label - it's much neater without it IMHO. There's one small issue with that: the panel can only be dragged and moved when that title is visible. So if I wanted to move the panel I'd have to temporarily re-enable the title, move it, then hide the title again. Not a big deal at all though as I'm rarely likely to move it once it's positioned.
New button looks great - a big improvement!
Also I think the overlay style should be consistent with your other mods, it looks way off with the rest of the game UI IMO.
Thanks for finding the fix, @Batt66man, and for working on it for so long @Keallu!
Then I did another test with no mods installed, except Monitor It and also ModTools
First finding: when I click "Reset Positioning of Button" in options, I see in ModTools that it triggers "Exception: Object reference not set to an instance of an object". So that exception is relevant, sorry for saying it wasn't (I guess I never clicked the reset button when I tested with no mods before). Screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/wM83rjL.png
Second finding: I think this is the ModTools info you wanted? https://i.imgur.com/8bEASpO.png
If so, it seems to show that both the button and buttonPanel are null, whereas the mainPanel, topPanel, unityMemoryPanel, etc, are all correctly assigned. This screenshot is taken with no mods installed except Monitor It and ModTools.
So I guess that the creation/assignment of the button is failing?
CS is full screen only on my 4K monitor, and is running at 3840 x 2160 resolution. Player.log shows:
Setting initial resolution to 3840 2160 True [Core]
UI Resolution mod isn't related because the problem occurs identically when it's not installed - and when no other mods are installed at all.
I've tested manually editing MonitorItConfig.xml and putting various X and Y coordinates for the button, such as 100,100; 1000,1000; 2000,2000; 3800,2000; 4000,100; etc, without any success.
The Monitor It panel always appears fine at any coordinates.
I will consider moving the buttons to the top of the screen but so many mods place them there. I'm also aware of UUI but I'm not keen on that integration right now and the "API" is supplies.
Interestingly, my Player.log does not contain that object reference exception - which it was still showing earlier this morning, before I unsubbed all mods. So it seems that that exception isn't related to the lack of a button. Here's my Player.log in case it's of any help: https://gist.github.com/TheBloke/00a81184cc740571cd7148f7ca2d8feb
You mentioned monitor config - I have four monitors, with my main 4K monitor being in the middle of three others. I wouldn't have thought this could affect anything, since presumably all co-ordinates are relative to the CS window? But here's my monitor layout in case it's of interest: https://i.imgur.com/816KI8K.png
What confuses me is that all other buttons and panels from other mods appear fine - including your own Measure It, Watch It, etc. Is there something unusual about this button?
Let me know if I can provide any more info.
OK, I can now confirm that it is definitely not a mod incompatibility. I just:
- Unsubbed all mods
- re-subbed Monitor It
- Launched game and started a new game

I reset the button position, and also tried toggling Show Button a few times.
Z-order for the button is 25 so should not be a problem if you don't block it with other panels.
