When my character became an immortal Viking raider I made his sisters immortal too with console commands. One of them was my right hand shield maiden, over the years she lost basically every body part through these events and was still one of the best fighters in the world :)

It should be turned off entirely for them, Wotan would not allow them to become to fall to such a fate!
