I love this map! I play on it almost exlusively. probaly got about 500+ hours in total on this map alone out of my 1300 in skylines. Thank you so much for providing me with so much joy! Would it be possible to make a north kent county map? I grew up in sparta / rockford area and would love a map that had Sparta, Rockford, Belmont, Cedar Springs, Sand Lake and Kent City! Just a thought. Thank you so much again for the endless hours of fun! I just gave you a bunch of awards with my points and cant wait to play this map again on my new gaming laptop after a year break from video games.

I've had a lot of fun on this map! I originally found it good for a midwest state fair build. More recently I've approached it as a region/county, with one big city in the middle and rural Main Street small towns surrounding it

Lol my friend and I talk all the time about how we would fix the S-curve, this will be fun!

Lol. I've been wanting to model removing the downtown portion of US 131. I was hoping someone had a decent model of the city, but I guess this could still be useful.

Coming back to this map. I love it so much.

@TramHammer

It's due to the scale. It doesn't even go much past 44th St.

Thank you so much for making this. It looks like it might extend far enough to recreate my town.

Absolutely love this map. I had been searches for ages for one that wasn't criss-crossed with motorways. It just doesn't make sense to me to have the infrastructure build up when all I build is a little town. Thanks!
giantflamingo_ 6 Oct, 2019 @ 10:37pm
I'd rather have the motorway be on the other side. Last time I used a map like this, it was overwhelmed with motorway traffic being squeezed into highway traffic.

You have no idea how long I've waited for a Midwestern-themed map exactly like this one, so thank you for making this

My pleasure - I thought your map looks good - and I really believe that when people see your map in this video: that they are more likely to subscribe to your map

Thanks, I enjoyed BonBonB's review and got a kick out of the prounciation.

@mazisky I think all Temperate themed maps have northern lights? I never noticed them being too overbearing but you could load the map with base theme European instead, that might work?
Hendrik aka Lucky Pants 25 Aug, 2019 @ 2:57pm
Hi newmart, and everyone reading this. Your map was reviewed by BonBonB in his What Map video.
You made a really good looking map. I really like your highways too - and I also like it that you use non-highways a lot.
I hope you enjoy the video - I certainly did. Oh and please DO laugh every time BonBonB pronounces Michigan wrong.

THe map is really great but i don't know why there are those annoying northen lights.
Bobbyredds 7 Aug, 2019 @ 6:40am
This map look very realistic, Thanks!
Skratz(The)Kid 7 Aug, 2019 @ 12:28am
i would love for you to do detroit though
Skratz(The)Kid 7 Aug, 2019 @ 12:24am
okay so on youtube i commented about adding 131 because its the vital norht south freeway and it hinders the map before i read it here.

I'm the one that brutalized Holland back in the day. Still think about remaking it. As for your water flow issues, there used to be a map on the Workshop that included the Thornapple and Rogue Rivers. They fed in from higher elevations and helped the river flow to the southwest. You just may need to dig the river a touch deeper.
zarrennerraz 4 Aug, 2019 @ 5:44am
This looks great. too bad we can't have actual landmarks. I know of a Holland on the workshop, but it is crude at best. I couldn't do anything with it. too bad because I know it like the back of my hand.

This is great. I no longer live in Grand Rapids, but it's surreal seeing it in game form. Thanks for this.
